I like him. I agree with the title. The thing that sucks is he is +IF+ they decide he is. If they don't think he's a "needle mover" or if he doesn't "sell merch" then he won't be, even though he's ridiculously talented. The "business" of pro wrestling is truly awful in these situations.

When I first saw Melo, I thought...ah, he's one of those people that want to use wwe to go to Hollywood. And then I was like, but he's really talented, how can he not love this business. Only to find out that I was wrong. He's a fan of this since he was a kid just like me. I'm rooting for him. But he's definitely better as a heel.

Strickland wasn’t over. It was indeed very awkward seeing Undertaker put him over, both for undertaker & the audience, but they’re clearly investing heavily into their next “four pillars” of the Fed: Steiners kid, CArmelo, Dragunov, & Von Wagner. Pritchard & the company brass control NXT now, and so when you see them pushing someone there, it means that it’s coming down from upstairs. It’s no longer this rogue tertiary promotion that it devolved into; it’s legitimately their developmental program
@marcbasil i mean i enjoy carmelo because he seldom botches and is decent on the mic but i just dont see it with any of the guys u mentioned except for bron. And im certainly not one to judge because quite frankly i cant pinpoint it as well as a girl or maybe a gay dude but I certainly do not think carmelo is a pretty boy in any way. Pretty deadly are pretty boys, nathan frazer as well, dolph ziggler etc. I do agree with the taker thing and I am happy that carmelo is probably getting a push. That isn’t how they view him tho; they had the freaking undertaker put him over. There are several reasons why: he’s immensely over with the black demo, especially young ppl. He’s also a handsome/good looking dude, and has a very marketable face; he’s easy on the eyes. He’s also a freaky athlete. These things count sometimes more than size
You can be small and be a world champ material. Look at Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) he weighs 210 pounds and he was able to win the world championship at Wrestlemania. Rey Mysterio was the same thing too, he’s small as hell, and won the championship at Wrestlemania 2006.
Now I’m not saying him (no pun intended) being a midcarder is a bad thing, but let Melo start off as a mid-carder first, and then when the time is right, he could move up to the next step, and then be in the world champion picture.
