The year was 1987 myself along with friends headed to Ocean city Md for senior week. My buddy had a homemade cassette of various artists. This song came on and I was like Holy Fuck who is this ? I never really had a favorite band but after hearing this song I bought and listened to every GW tune I could get my hands on I went on to see them live at least 50 times. Such a great band ! even helped them take down their equipment in Lancaster PA after a show
One of the great cruising jams of the 80s! Driving back from Hilton Head from a club called The White Parrot in 1987. On a balmy Fall morning headed back across the Savannah River Bridge at 4am in the morning with the fog rising off the road and the bogs on each side of a long stretch of highway approaching Savannah. The rest is history! 🌖🌌🌠🌬
Wow, just wow. One of the greatest riffs/solos of all time. Timing is impeccable! Glad I found this considering I heard and saw this live over three decades ago! 😎🤟🏻🎸
Songs and bands like this have been painted over with that huge "80's Hair Metal" brush. Which is a travesty! This performance proves that what many call "over produced", is simply "well recorded" by a very tight band with great vocals(No auto tune required here!). No... TODAY'S music is "over produced" with it's computer perfect/quantized drums, Pro Tooled cut & paste/stiff choruses, uninspired writing and performances, unpracticed and untalented musicians, etc. I now yearn for music and bands like this. Real music from real musicians. It's as if songwriting itself has become a lost art. Heck, people can't even write jingles anymore. They just strip down and slow down classic hits. Which is another travesty.
I just woke up to the news that Jack Russell has officially retired from touring due to his diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia disease. Sending him & his family only the best. ❤❤❤. We love you Jack.
@@hopsmetalshow3413 yea, it's a shame, but it doesn't take away the greatness of them, that's for sure. One of a kind voice, one of a kind collection of musicians and talent. Sometimes, as you read and hear with so many musical artists & actors,... there's one or two people that are talented enough label guys to spot extraordinary talent, and missed opportunities to get on the right track early can be detrimental. I think perhaps that is the case here. My old college roommate always keeps me jamming by putting together CD's and now thumb-drives of tons of different artists' tracks that we used to listen to back in the day....A Great White song or two always ends up on the collection he gives me.

Bradley King -You must have bumped your fucking head! I don't know how old you are dude, but you need to get your shit together and do a little research. These guys were badass all through the fucking eighties and then early-mid 90s. But then, like all of the mid 80's bands, they took a backseat for a while to grunge and a lot of other music that came up through the 90s. They started coming back a little and then the big fire happened and stopped them in their tracks. But don't get it twisted patna these guys rocked their asses off! "One hit wonders"...smdh
One of the greatest hard rock songs we have ever heard.
Jack Russell is the voice of Great White period👍
Fuckin Eh , yes he is/ The only one AS far as I am concerned,
No other.

I saw Great White in a nightclub in the 80's. When I walked in the first thing I thought was they were really tight and LOUD. It was a good live show.
