When you haven’t watched the video ... and it was uploaded 3 minutes ago... but you like it right away because you know you’ll like it ❤️ thanks for all you do! 🌲
Agreed! It’s not only funny to see her filming herself, going out for coffee, but also her teaching us her flower arrangement skills and how she designed her garden at home 🏡
I can't stand it when people criticize her for her attire or how she wears her hair. Drives me nuts. It's a gardening channel, not a "health and beauty aids" channel. Grrrr....
@amity 150 I'm in Texas, too...I marvel at what Laura wears... jeans to do yardwork? 😳 But I've gotta say if I could get my yard to look like hers by wearing jeans? I'd be in head-to-toe denim!! 😉❤🥵
Hi Laura, I just want you to know that I never miss a video. They make me feel good. And since I just lost my job a couple of weeks ago, I enjoy seeing your beautiful face and hearing your upbeat comments on your projects. It makes me feel better and more hopeful. Thanks!
What i thought was so great when your mom was filming herself was that she didn't immediately turn the camera around or point it at something other than herself. She just laughed.
Oh my, I love that you showed both Russell and Cheddar. I think that Russell is the main Boss! I'm curious to know if that assumption is correct? Thanks for answering the foraging questions! I always look forward to these videos.
Sian P Nice to watch her while Gardeners World is sleeping for the winter... well, nice to watch her vids anytime actually, but especially during winter when Monty is doing other things.
My husband got me auger and love it. Planted about three hundred no time. Most of them I had dug up from the garden and divided them. They had been in the garden about five years. Also got some new ones I will be going back to get more before I’m done. LOL
Hi Laura. Just want to say thank you! You have really inspired me. I was completely intimidated by both indoor and outdoor plants for many many years after I was unable to keep bamboo alive 😪 But after watching you and seeing your love for gardening and how passionate you are about every flower you plant, I took the leap and put some bulbs in the ground and in containers and I'm hoping for the best! I also startrd visiting my local garden store and learning more about different types of shrubs and even purchased a few. I have discovered that I really like plants and flowers and taking care of them is something I truly, truly enjoy. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you a million times over for correcting yourself saying that you didn’t enjoy/ appreciate all the garden work at your parents house as a kid!!! It’s so easy to get frustrated that my five boys aren’t happy hearted helping transform our garden. Kids complain and I need to remember that. But I hold hope that later in life when they have their own yards or when see a garden it will bring back fond memories. Growing tomatoes and flowers connects me to my grandparents who are no longer here. I also say “romancing the ordinary!” It’s taken me a lot of years to realize that frugal can be beautiful and that I don’t have to be so practical with my time. Most often the extra step is worth the heart smile when you pass by later. Thanks for all you do! And I adored the video with your mom!!!!! Picnic in the woods 🥰
I love the recap videos. Your personality shines when you’re answering the questions. Thank you for all you and Aaron do and provide to us. Also, your mom is a hoot. I’d love to spend the day with her. She’d keep me rolling I’m sure. You’re a lucky lady to have such a fun, happy mom.
Please? please? please? Do holiday tours of your Mom's house this year? I would absolutely love to see how your Mom decorates for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Show us where you learned from the master on this Romancing the Ordinary. :)
Laura, just hearing you talk about your parent's garden did my heart good. We just moved to new home and the backyard is just grass and a couple of small crape myrtles. I can't wait to make the yard our own. We learned quite a bit gardening at old home and have learned a lot from you and Aaron at Garden Answer. We may even tackle putting in our own drip tubing instead of paying someone to do it. Thank you!
I love, love, love the videos when you and your mom get together and go over ideas, make plans for decorating, or especially this video where you both had some quality time together gathering pine branches and other dried plans that will help with both your Christmas arrangements. Would love to see more of mother and daughter moments, they are so special.....in my opinion.
Your mom is hilarious! I love her expression after you told her she was filming herself. I must have watched that part 10+ times! More of your mom please! You both are so awesome!
I love these Q & A . Your mom had me cracking up filming herself😆😆. Reminds me of myself when I try to film my son playing football and since I'm losing my mind cheering wind up filming the fence or sky.
Your mom so needs to VLOG!! I love her in your videos. Romancing the ordinary is a great idea and just teaching us kids how to garden are ideas for her to talk about. You are so lucky to have your parents! 💜
I used to love gardening and then I was injured and unable to bend and move very well. I went to a personal trainer and tried just about everything to get back to a point where I could do at least simple tasks. We bought a house last year that has a lovely garden and I fell in love with it...knowing in my heart that I wouldn't be able to do what I wanted with planting. Well...fast forward to finding you guys! I watched a few videos and decided what the heck - I am going to go give this a try and while I am struggling with pain, I am doing it! I am so inspired by your gardens and your family! Thank you thank you thank you!
Love your use of natural greenery etc in pots. Gives me a whole new way to decorate after my frost bitten plants bite the dust! You’re so creative dear Laura! Thank you for inspiring and sharing! ❤️🎄❤️
I want you to know that I wait for your videos to watch them... I share them with my sister every time I see your videos when I talk to my sister about what I’ve learned I say Laura, like you’re a personal friend but you’re on RUclips and you don’t know me but I know you and I thank you for everything that you share thank you.
The BEST part of this recap was seeing your mom accidentally filming herself...I can totally relate and it made me LOL hard! Love, love, love the recaps! I smile the entire time.
Laura.. you do not know what a huge blessing you are to me. I am older and have always loved gardens and have never had one of my own, (we rent), but the house where we are, the manager told me I could do what ever I wanted to the house and garden as long as I paid my rent. hehehehee.. but then I worked for them and lived in their apartments for over 20 years. So when I don't know what to do, if I am even having a panic attack.. I watch one of your videos and they lift me up, inspire me and calm me.. if you could only bottle it..hehehehe Of all of the people on youtube I have followed you the longest, and I have never seen a video that I didn't like. Love you guys.. you truly do minister to my heart and my soul... God bless you and THANK YOU!!! (Oh and I have learned absolutely tons from you!!! You ought to see my little makeshift cold frame/green house.. it's actually warmed with Christmas lights.. it works!!! heehhehe)
I am really loving that you recap all of the videos and answer the questions that people might have, it makes for a really fun video. I love both Russell and Cheddar, they are such beautiful kitties and seem really friendly, I have heard them called ginger kitties. Thanks again Laura and Aaron, have a great day, see you soon, bye for now.
I'd love to see more videos of you and your mom filming together. The chemistry between you both is incredibly enjoyable to watch on so many levels. Love watching your videos!! .
I love your videos!! I love the relationship you have with your mom and family, in this day of having to move to find work and leaving family and friends seeing you and your family working together and having fun makes my heart happy. I know that you touch so many lives in ways you will never know. May God continue to bless you and your family.
I love seeing Cheddar and Russell in your videos. I had an orange tabby that passed away suddenly this past August at a very young age. While it brings a tear to my eye, it brings a smile to my heart to see them in your videos and in your lives.
I took my 19 yr old daughter out foraging the day before I saw your foraging video with your lovely Mom. I couldn't believe what I was seeing! I didn't know the term for it either but now I love that word! To see you and your Mom together so close like that was inspirational and so heart warming. The picnic was a great touch! After I saw your video I grabbed my daughter and did it again❤
Treasure the time you spend with your mom!! You two are so precious together. I’m new to your Vlog and am in love with you!! Your voice is so soothing and I LOVE gardening therefore I love whatever you put out there...
Awesome video! You guys feel like my friends! How special to share your love for gardening and plants with your mom! Thank you for making us laugh, making us love gardering, teaching us about plants and for sharing you family with us! Benjamin is always a treat in a video, and Cheddar and Russel are so cute! Thank you for you energy and jokes and friendly and kind heart! Have a blessed week ❤️
I saw that video of your mom filming herself. I laughed all morning that day. I know I would have been doing the same thing with my kids telling the story to everyone. Thanks again for all the enjoyable , educational videos.
Also, about watering overwintered containers (or those in the landscape). Like Laura said, if it snows and the snow doesn't melt, *then* you should water. Where I live (NJ), typically snow will melt away within a few days in sunny areas. It's the shady areas where the snow will linger (sometimes for weeks) or an area that's shady and that you used to dump shoveled snow. Keep that in mind.
Could you do a video on how you stay organized? To do lists, schedules, written reminders of what to prune the next season, etc...? Do you keep everything organized on one calendar or in one notebook? Or do you just remember what you need to do because you have been doing it for years?
I look forward to watching you every day... you are contagious! I have learned so much . After watching your video where you made the square wreath , I jumped in the car and gathered branches to make it right away. My husband sawed them to equal lengths and voila! I am so proud of myself at 71!
It's so lovely to see such a happy young woman doing what she loves most. I'm leaning a lot and now that I'm back in Canada in the mountains gardening is quite different here. I was in Scotland until recently and if you ever get the chance to go to the UK make sure you go visit some of the incredible walled gardens there. Some have been there for hundreds of years and they are stunning to walk through. There are quite a few private ones, but if you make an appointment with the gardener you can visit them too. You can get a copy of Scotland's Gardens, the gardens have tours and visit times as well as email or other contact info for the gardeners. Thanks for all the inspiration and tips, I'm really enjoying your happy times in your gardens.
I love love love these videos!! All your videos are so great and I watch them on loop all day but hearing you walk though them idk just makes them new again! Thank you!!
I was LOL so hard at Susan’s expression when you told her she was filming herself!! 🤣🤣 I didn’t know you could use Wilt Stop on a real Christmas tree, game changer for sure. Thanks for the info!
Love the recaps and answers, great idea for the videos as I do not get to watch all week! Love the foraging video, all summer I enjoyed a random road corner of black eyes Susan’s, so yesterday I cut some stems for the seeds! I’m excited about it! Of course your seed harvesting video also inspired me to do that! I have been following you since last winter and I have learned so much. My houseplants have never looked better. What I used to kill before (violets and orchids) are absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for your sweet honest personality 🌱🌞💝
THANK YOU for putting the Farenheight to Celcius calculations on the video! no more frantic pausing and then googling to understand what is going on! thanks!
For comfort (not for water/mud) you absolutely have to get some slip on Merinos, which are made of wool. So soft, comfortable, amazing! I bought 2 pairs and still want more of them
That video of you and your Mom backing the trailer up and then your Mom filming herself is one of my favorites. I re watch that part, occasionally because it just makes me laugh and laugh! Put your Mom in more videos! She is a hoot.
When you haven’t watched the video ... and it was uploaded 3 minutes ago... but you like it right away because you know you’ll like it ❤️ thanks for all you do! 🌲
I do that too lol
Hahaha me too! 😂👍🏻
@@anmarievanderwalt3176 Me to!!! How could we not like anything Laura (and Aaron) do!!!!
Your mom should create a vlog for “Romancing the Ordinary!” She’d be amazing. I love you guys together, you are sooo adorable!!
I would love to see that video!!
Agree! I love this idea!
I was just going to comment on this! Her mom is so sweet☺👍
Good idea!
Agreed! It’s not only funny to see her filming herself, going out for coffee, but also her teaching us her flower arrangement skills and how she designed her garden at home 🏡
Wear Van's. Wear your hair down. Wear long sleeves when it's 100° outside. Continue to do what works for you ❤
Hayley Wise best comment!! I was thinking the same thing love everything about her
I can't stand it when people criticize her for her attire or how she wears her hair.
Love your family; how well you compliment one another and work together. Have some family in Baker City and lots of history there. Bless you!
These Q&A’s are becoming a favorite!
Love your videos and you are great inspiration!
Love the part of your mom filming herself. You guys are so much fun!
Shelley Trunnell That was so funny! She should have a channel I love her garden too!

Omg the clip of your mom made me laugh SO HARD ! Lol
What i thought was so great when your mom was filming herself was that she didn't immediately turn the camera around or point it at something other than herself. She just laughed.
I’m the south we also say that seeing a cardinal is a family member or friend in heaven coming for a visit. :)
Oh my, I love that you showed both Russell and Cheddar. I think that Russell is the main Boss! I'm curious to know if that assumption is correct? Thanks for answering the foraging questions! I always look forward to these videos.

Thank you for adding Celsius to the temperature you say! 😁👍
1.20am here in UK and just watched this after it popped up after a long night at the computer working. Another great video 😊
Sian P Nice to watch her while Gardeners World is sleeping for the winter... well, nice to watch her vids anytime actually, but especially during winter when Monty is doing other things.

Your Mom is so awesome! Able to Laugh at herself and always pleasant and thoughtful! If we could all follow that example. 😇
Hi Laura. Just want to say thank you! You have really inspired me. I had forgotten about that video where your mom filmed herself. It had me cracking up. She’s so funny
I love how this woman is natural on her videos I'm sick of RUclipsrs screaming and being too hyper
I love these Q&A’s. How has the response been from the community? I’m thinking of duplicating this on my own channel 🌿
Smart!
I really enjoy these weekly reviews. I watch all your videos, but still like to watch the reviews for the week. Thanks Tab
The BEST part of this recap was seeing your mom accidentally filming herself...I can totally relate and it made me LOL hard! Love, love, love the recaps! I smile the entire time.

Thank you for including the temps in Celsius. Very helpful!!
I loved you and your Moms trio in the woods and the whole picnic idea! Good times right!!! God bless!
I'd love to see more videos of you and your mom filming together. The chemistry between you both is incredibly enjoyable to watch on so many levels. Love watching your videos!! .
I loved that video of your mom taping you !! I love her laugh!! I wish I could find it back!!!
Really loving you Q&As, I didn't think I would because I love seeing the gardens and the plants, but they are really brilliant!!
I love the weekly recap videos so much. Thank you Laura and Aron for everything you are doing.

Awesome video! You guys feel like my friends! How special to share your love for gardening and plants with your mom!

Thanks for the recap. Your mom is a hoot and it would be fun to have her in more videos!
Definitely do a Mom Vlog! She’s so precious!!
Love your Mom !!, You are so lucky !!!
You are the reason I look out my window while driving and think..."ooooh wish I could cut that down for a pot."
Dig that up?
Thank you so much for placing Celsius on the screen, it means I understand the temps.🧡🐨
Love your channel, Laura! Found it a few months ago, and now I’m addicted.
I love love love these videos!! All your videos are so great and I watch them on loop all day but hearing you walk though them idk just makes them new again! Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing the differences between Cheddar and Russel. Beautiful cats. I love orange cats!
I was LOL so hard at Susan’s expression when you told her she was filming herself!! 🤣🤣
I didn’t know you could use Wilt Stop on a real Christmas tree, game changer for sure.
THANK YOU for putting the Farenheight to Celcius calculations on the video! no more frantic pausing and then googling to understand what is going on! thanks!
I love this format! Answering questions and such. I bet it makes it easier for you all for content as well!
I love these sessions answering questions! I too love Detroit Garden Works and Deborah Silver has some absolutely gorgeous winter arrangements!
Your mama is a doll. Complete doll. I loved the vid of you two spending the day together thrifting, it reminds of doing the same with my mama. 💜🥰
Thank you for the Cheddar/Russell side by side. I too was trying to tell one apart from the other.
My father had a landscaping business all of my childhood and I'm sure much of my appreciation for plants and nature comes from that. 😁😁
You are the only garden video I watch. Love your videos. You are so pleasant to watch.
All your videos are just utterly delightful to me! Thank you for doing what you do!
I love vans and Keds for everyday wear, but I wear crocs for gardening since I can hose them off.
Also, I sure hope, & look forward to a tour of your parents garden in the spring😃
Skechers are what I wear in the garden. I wear them out but they can go into the wash.
For comfort (not for water/mud) you absolutely have to get some slip on Merinos, which are made of wool. So soft, comfortable, amazing! I bought 2 pairs and still want more of them
I like the recap video's Laura. Your Mom is great! Love the cats and keep wearing Vans if they are comfortable! Love you!❤
Thanks Laura and Aaron for your time....... Happy Holidays.... Kisses to Benjamin, R&C.....Hugs from Minnesota
I like that you used materials that you found in the wild. I had used a bunch of branches that fell down in a storm and it was so much fun!
That video of you and your Mom backing the trailer up and then your Mom filming herself is one of my favorites. I re watch that part, occasionally because it just makes me laugh and laugh! Put your Mom in more videos! She is a hoot.
