That is not a 'custom' holster in the sense of being specially commisioned and built singly. It may have been made to fit that pistol or something close. Looks like a George Lawrence (Co.) design holster. It looks like it works as a belt holster. I am probably not a large collector, but I'm a collector of (among other things) .32 ACP and .25 ACP pistols from that era (between wars) and I have two of the Ortgies 7.65mm pistols; one with the "D" cat symbol shown and one with a criss-crossed "H" and "O' for Heinrich Ortgies, who owned the patents and first arranged manufacture of the gun. I also have the smaller version in 6.35mm but it won't fire. I think the firing pin spring is just too tired.
I have one. In perfect conditions, it shoots like fully automatic because of an "ear" of fire pin that broke, shoot very very fast. It is very sturdy and precise, but the fire pin breaks easily if you fire without ammunition. I've switched the fire pin 3 times.
Diego Ortgies 765 it sounds like your trigger pin is worn down. My step dad left me his dad’s that he brought back from WW2 and it was doing the same full auto thing. If that pin wears down it will fire full auto. Not safe.
I have the same one but my serial number starts with 900 I was at a gun show recently and some guy selling one there was telling me mine was reblued but I was pretty sure it was not cause I inherited it from my grand father and he had it in his safe for about 40 years
I inherited one of the first ones made from my father/grandfather card one of the walnut grips is missing and the other one is broken. Do you have any idea where I could get replacement grips?
I picked up one of these in .25 ACP just as a cool old gun. It is a beautiful and functional toy. Lot of character in these little guns.
1 own a 32acp Ortgies, I like it alot.
I really want 1 of these!!
My dad has one and when I first held it immediately felt like a spy.

Disconnector is worn out.
I need someone to fix my .25, it won't shoot and local gunsmith couldn't get it done.
Very cool. I get the idea of that safety; its just a little too far to be ergonomic.

It could have been reblued before your grandfather picked it up. They stopped production on these pistols in 1923/24.
