I might have an excellent idea on how Infinite could be brought back in Sega's next Frontiers gameplay-styled game. In the game's story, a mysteriously cloaked figure finds a way to gain access to the Ancients' technology on the Starfall Islands and has a plan to reforge the Phantom Ruby but make it an improved model. The missing piece to complete the plan was to use a red blade. It somewhat works, but it resulted into creating a new kind of creature that uses cyberspace to expand the phantom ruby's power. This catches everybody's attention, hence the game starts. The mysterious figure joins Sonic to stop this reality-bending and cyberkinetic being from reshaping the world as it sees fit. After defeating it, the cloaked figure draws the red blade and pierces it into the creature which causes a tornado-like purple explosion with red glitches surrounding it. When the dust clears, Sonic sees a familiar figure. The figure turns around as the leitmotif of Infinite's theme from Episode Shadow plays. The figure is revealed to be Infinite all along. He has his red blade from the IDW comics, and he counters against both Sonic and Shadow with this new boost of power. It would turn out that ever since the original phantom ruby was destroyed, the finalized prototype was linked to it and it caused Infinite to fade in and out of existence for a long time. With his life on the line, he sought to find the Starfall Islands and learn of the Ancients' secrets as well as reforging the original ruby to stay alive. Now, that the finalized version has been replaced with a new phantom ruby, he now seeks to gain more power in order to defeat Sonic as a means to reclaim his title as the ultimate mercenary. He also claims the lands, ruins, and technologies of the Ancients as his bounty. So, if Sonic wants to survive and get Infinite off the islands, he would have to fight to the death. That's something Sonic would never think of considering to do. In this game, Infinite could have his own DLC story where his combat style could reflect that of his swordsmanship skills and the phantom ruby cubes abilities similar to one of Sonic's moves.
Never really expect you to make a special edit of one of the most edgiest songs out there. But hey, if its a Tyrus Sparda edit, i know its worth listening to.
Tbh this sounds like something out of Sonic Frontiers is Infinite came back as a DLC boss vowing revenge on Sonic and Shadow for the defeat, so from the drop of the song he reveals full display of his Psychic powers and as battle rages on and more HP he loses Infinite gets more Enraged as why you wont just die. What i get feeling from this mix

Without you, I never would have been able to complete the Phantom Rubie" "No y-you shouldn't - We defeated you" "YOU DEFEATED EGGMAN!! I am not Eggman, I'm not a machine. I AM NO ONES PAWN!!!" He crushes the gem in his hands, the power now spiraling around him "Bare witness, ALEPH 0" 3:12 PH4NT0M Infinite (basically what Super Sonic is to the chaos emeralds but with Infinite and the Phantom Rubie)
This should have been the theme for a multiphase battle, with us seemingly fighting to the death against Infinite even in super sonic state, while getting to the bottom of Infinite’s edginess
While the game’s music in general ranges from passable to banger, I must say whoever did the soundtrack for the Shadow DLC was composing out of their fucking minds Going from the instrumental intro of Throw It All Away into Infinite’s theme is pure compositional goal that slots perfectly into the cutscene it’s a part of, and overall the SA2 remixes for the stages are amazing as well.
Shadow: ultimate life form created by a dark god and a mad scientist Infinite: That edgy teen that posts pictures of Shadow with quotes that he thinks sound cool
Perfect opinion... The only mistakes of game was no Super Sonic, Infinite was such a dumbass, poorly written backstory (THEY COULD'VE JUST FOLLOWED THE BACKSTORY IN INFINITE'S THEME) And worst of all, no Shadow and Chaos fights (And Classic Sonic) Rest were incredible
I could definitely see myself infinitely replaying this one. It's got a good buildup, with a lot of energy towards the end. Only critique I could give is that the horns near the last bit get a smidge loud, and drown out the vocals, but it's still quite worth listening to. Great job with this one, Tyrus. You know that sega just released the expansion soundtrack for Sonic Frontiers. It includes intrumentals of the titan themes. I would really love to see those used in the case that you remaster any of the titan tracks. Theres also a new version of im here in there too (well, techniqually two) and i think a special edit of that would be super awesome.
