My mind is always chaotic, I love making journals they relax me, but it's the initial starting of one that bugs me. I like your sorting system; I sort all my stuff into colored boxes with labels on the front of them. Can't wait to see what you make from all these lovely red bits and pieces.
Thank heavens for this ....i collect bits ....get lots of ideas ....then Bammm Chaos!!! I look at it lately ....sigh ....panic sets in ...and think to myself...what am i doing?? Slumps in chair ...head in hands ...ok coffee in hand ...lets see what Luise would do.❤
Oh dear Luise! I sincerely appreciate everything you create and teach us about and all of your hard work really shows up in every single one of your amazing videos! Thank you so much for sharing your incredible gifts with us/me!
I have all the stuff collected for several journals stuffed into stacking baskets, which works for storage, but not for working on the project. Pulling everything together in such a way that you can find/remember/see all the items is a brilliant idea. Thank you for sharing, Luise.
Luise: good explanation for those who need to think how to organize themselves and their craft rooms. Love your little organizer. Carol from California
I just love this. I do quite similar but in a down and dirty way...I just put things in several plastic zip bags sorted similarly to yours, that I use over and over for projects. I can't wait to see this fabulous red/black/brown journal. I'm so intrigued!
Luise, such a wonderful idea, then you're not looking all over your craft room to find things to use, just brilliant. The big red is so gorgeous, enjoy your weekend, big Hugs Luise.
Great video, Luise. I love your small cabinets and your process for gathering items for your next journal. Can’t wait to see the journal come to life! ❤
Wow, I always love your video content and wanted to say this is the best video I have watched of all the journal makers I am following (which are many). It is the most helpful for me as I often loose momentum when I can’t find the components for a project and after I waste precious time trying to find things, I get tired and don’t want to continue. I will put your ideas into practice. I also wanted to say I purchased your recent printable which is based on your new gorgeous piece of furniture. I didn’t leave a comment on Etsy as I didn’t realise I could so do until I had finalised the purchase, so I wanted to tell you I am excited to use the truely original labels and appreciate your hard work. I look forward to your videos.
I love your idea, but I gather whatever I’m going to use and put it in a rolling cart by my desk. I also use muffin tins on my desk for small bits like Tim does.
Yes❤! THANKYOU! I also love making junk journals but i am always rummaging for what i want even though i have the basic things sorted. No one has ever explained this kind of sorting to me! I have a plastic container with compartments, i can use. This is extremely useful! New Subscriber 📚✉📏✂️🇭🇲💖
👏👏👏 Bravo Luise! I did notice you used some great vocabulary words, like CONCRETE & DIFFUSE. This is such a treat for me to hear. Noting stood out to me as terrible errors in usage, I will think about it. I will say that the "bling bling" things are called CABOCHONS, pronounced "kab-oh-shawns" as it is a French word. I'm writing this late at night and I'm tired,. The minischrenk is so so useful. Did you know that the word FLOW comes from a Hungarian psychologist specilizing in creativity studies. His name is Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. I thought you might enjoy knowing this. Cheers!
Hi Luise!🤗 Another fun and informative video!! I can hardly wait until time for another video from you!! You are such an inspiration!! I enjoyed your guitar videos with Sascha so much and am headed over to purchase the kit!!🎉. I already purchased your Halloween 🎃 in August kit to use for my October journal and I am going to take your advice from this video and get all my stuff for the journal contained in one place!! Thank you for all you do!!!❣️❣️
I love the altered drawers! I just wasn't sure why you used paper for the front of the drawer panels, instead of painting them. I could definitely use something like that but no more room!
You must have been reading my mind during the last week. How am I to store my ephemera, clusters and ready made journal inserts? Should I have them on my work surface, next to it, or in the China cabinet (very large storage unit) to bring to the table when I need it?

I get lots of ideas, overthink them, then feel overwhelmed. Thanks for this ❤

I could have written this comment 🤣 I have the same syndrome.
I absolutely love the drawers! This is a good system for organizing while making a journal. ❤
I find this way of teaching us to start the journal very helpful.
Luisa, I found this video very interesting. My art room is a bit chaotic so this could really transform my process. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Hi Luise, I'm so excited you're starting a new joutnal and going to do it with us! TFS 😊
I SO look forward to seeing this journal as I feel they are not your usual materials. TFS 😊

I can't wait to see what you are going to make either. Love your mini shrank and using it as a project organiser.
I think the word you were looking for regarding the fabric of the bow is velvet. Love this video as usual. Thanks.❤
Love the way you organize things to start a journal and love the cabinets you made they are so kool how you decorated them.💖
I am discovering these things too…thank you! ❤
This is just the kind of organization help I need. Thanks, Luise!
Can’t wait to see this new journal!!
Oh, oh a new journal from my favorite artist. Love watching how you bring something together
"Don't freak your freak!" Love it!

Great ideas!!!
This is a great idea for organizing a new journal. Looking forward to this series.
Luise-that red heart ribbon/tape is called “velour” in English, FYI!
Oh but I DO need something that is that beautiful but I don’t have the room. I’ll just sit here and envy you 😊
I love your idea, but I gather whatever I’m going to use and put it in a rolling cart by my desk. I also use muffin tins on my desk for small bits like Tim does.

Aww 🥰 thank you!!!
I see bows!🙂
Good idea Luise. I use a similar idea to collect the bits and pieces that I want to use in a project or journal.

Perhaps the name of the velvety fabric you are trying to think of is velour?
I like you already. You have ink on your fingers😊
Cheese cloth?
,?!
The red fabric in your hand I believe is called cheese cloth. The natural cloth is used when basting a turkey
