I hope Daisy feels better very soon. At parents' evening, my mum was told that I would always struggle with my school work. My mum sent me to private English lessons, and after a few weeks, my tutor told my mum that I was doing fine and that the school system didn't suit me. It still knocked my confidence for a long time, and I always wished that I was an intelligent, popular girl. After many years, I am now happy with who I am. Schools have a lot to answer for.

To satisfy our need to get around we have bought a static caravan in the countryside and we travel a bit round the area.I could live in that caravan but when winter comes it would be mega expensive to keep warm so not a great idea. We all have to find our own ways of keeping contented. I think you are sensible keeping the cottage. We had a boat in younger days but it was a money pit😢 Roll on spring x

I've not seen the cottage before, it looks lovely and lovely area, so pretty with all the snow. I live parked up in my bus with my son, it's like a small one bd apartment, houses feel like such a huge waste of space to us now, even though we are both creative and could use more space for that at times. Moving into the bus was necessity for us, but it is like living in a hug.

I had the same experience at school..totally shamed by the art teacher when all I wanted to be was an Artist. I'm in my 50's now and rediscovering art as a natural thing and realising I was born as an artist. School wasn't for me either Reese, I didn't know I had adhd then tho. Shocking how much teachers got away with in those days and how much damage they caused. Good to see the snow. I grew up in Yorkshire and remember it coming over the top of my wellies some years..sitting by the radio in the morning praying for ours to be on the list of schools closed. Best deal with a Luton body you don't have to mess getting the bad sorted, but then their not cheap you run being the shape to the wind they are and the problem of getting them in or out of many places because of the height which also takes a battering from trees etc. Poor Daisy I hope she picks up OK.Happy New Year you three.

Hope daisy feels better soon. saw your thoughts on van size - I have a big van, its extra high top and LWB I love the fact I can stand up in it and we have room to store things high up- but after 2 years of owning the van I'd give that hight up no questions asked to be able to fit under hight barriers!!! it drive me insane the amount of places I pull up to and we have to turn around and spend hours looking for other park ups because councils have installed 2.5m barriers. even in the middle of no where woodland park ups and there hight barriers, also had to turnaround for a low bridge once too. I'd defiantly not get a van taller than 2.5m again and I'd advise anyone who likes wild or stealth camping to get a van that fits under the majority of hight barriers because other wise its hard work in the UK. Romany looks an awesome size small enough to fit everywhere but big enough to stay in a long lime whilst travelling . I think you guys picked right. !

I identify with Emma‘s experience at school. And it really can have a terrible negative effect on your self-esteem and self belief. I think back in the day teachers could be very cruel. Being of the Gen X generation I think School was not a good place for me.

Luton aren't cheap to run aerodynamics are dreadful seen them blow over in wind,a Mercedes sprinter is a better bet.
