It's incredible how this theme sounds like it could really work as a GBA theme. This is something I really love about Pokémon music - most of the time, they can be replicated in other sound fonts and styles and they still work perfectly!
Pokemon SV has quite a few Wild battle themes and you chose the only one that sounds Pokemon'ish. Great job bringing this song to the style of Generation 3!
This works so well because of how old school the Masuda compositions in SV are. You did an absolutely fantastic job translating it to the Gen 3 soundfont 🔥👌

This fits so well for me because I went into Violet without spoilers, and when I saw Wattrel in the opening scene I was convinced it was a regional form of Taillow. Then I found out it wasn't, and I was genuinely disappointed.
Most sound front mixes I see of tracks, sound like nothing like the source game they’re drawing inspiration from. This sounds exactly like it came off of the GBA hardware from that style of composition on those 3rd generation games. Really amazing.
This is pretty good, but I feel like the Southern Province's battle theme would be even better if you can find a way to replicate how it goes completely ham with the bass.

The mix between scarlet/ violet and ruby/sapphire is just a masterclasse. Gen3 and gen 9 are both great games and great music
