Magsorc is my absolute favourite. My main is one, and I spend most of my play time on it. She’s a PVE toon, but has skill points to burn. I look forward to changing her up and trying this out in PVP. Thank you for the incredible looking build!
The grind for skill points never stops on my magsorc main, especially with the new dressing room coming to counsel I'm ready to try this and so many more builds!
You're the grandmaster of builds deltia. Those builds are just well thought out and i can approve of that as i tested your dk tank build for 4 player content. You will also be able to cope with the hybridization, no doubt. Thanks for your effort!
You should drop surge for harness and use spell power pots. The healing from surge is not noticeable and one shield is not enough in my opinion. Plus the extra crit from the pots makes a big difference in damage. Try it and you'll love it!
No sir Crit Surge Heals are awesome! The only thing that sucks about having it is for Solo Play....for PVP nah, BECAUSE you have to be on Offense for you to benefit for it...If you are on Defense then its a dead skill, but you can double Streak for Offense and Defense and be Golden and use a POT instead....WAY more Sustain!
@@RealRigorous your crit is really low if you dont run any crit boost sets or buffs, so its not enough to take up a slot imo. 1 sheild is just not enough, it will get melted off you by an half decent player. And dark exchance is your sustain, just spam it 3 times and your good lol.
@@benoneill4318 I mean Not necessarily. My Crit unbuffed is like give or take 30 (Percentish) My Spell Damage unbuff is also 3300ish and over 4000 when FULLY BUFFED with over 1500 Mag Recovery and 15K Pen....I don't need a lot of crits LOL....But see how well CritSurge works when you running or on defense or trying to streak away...when you can streak through em and use a POT and still did damage with your streak! BUT more than 1 way to skin a cat...Better sustain if you double bar Streak...Thank me later
@@RealRigorous you dont need good crit to benefit well off CRIT surge? your crit will be around 20% if you dont have any buffs to crit. And thats not enough. ive tried all setups and for me and every other sorc i know. 1 shield is not enough. You cant justify a slot on your bar for that im my opinion.
This is almost exactly what my build is but I run medium chest and legs of trainee, weapons and neck are ancient grace, medium domihas. So a 3/3/1 setup. Oh and whoever suggested spell power pots I don’t agree with lol, tri pots are so OP!
2 def sets + 5 pieses light alfiq can be better for solo. I think that this setup is more for deathmatch or bgs or group play. Crushing Shock is not so good as you think, overload with elemental weapon is better and easier and deal more damage. So, I don't think your build is defended enough, you also haven't roll dodge cost reduce as solo meele stamnbs have, you need second shield. This is group pvp build, not solo anyway. I think that this build is for bgs, zerg destroying and ganking. Defence and mobility is low for soloing. Build is good, but for group.
Nice play! I haven't played eso for a while. But now I wanna try magsorc again. My problem was always about executing my opponents. Now I wanna try double destruction staff bar with matriarch twilight and the last support skill on my front bar on top with temporal guard. So my shield would be 15% stronger
Magsorc on PvP is easy to get into in that they have straight forward abilities like shield, heals in the form of either crit surge, restoration staff or dark deal, they have a very minimalist combo for kills and it's the only class where you want to preemptively cast execute ability and have great positioning ability in the form of streak for both offensive and defensive maneuver. However, of all the class in my opinion has the highest skill ceiling in the game. It's very easy to die if caught off-guard specially without shield, positioning is hard to master and while it's combos are simple executing them requires experience and skills because they are easy to telegraph by good players. Magsorc thrives on building max magicka both for damage and defence i.e shield as such your health is rather low, you constantly need to reapply shields, stacking shields and dark deal while looking for opportunities to kill. You can do well with average players but against good players it will show your level of expertise. This is coming from someone who main magsorc and has over 3.5k hours on it both on pve and PvP. A simple straight forward class, easy to get into but hard to master because of its simplicity as it's abilities are easy to telegraph.
Could I use medium armor instead of light? I was thinking of using Twice-Born Star with the Mage and Atronach birthsigns instead of Alfiq. Before enchantments, I’d lose 1433 magicka but gain 1096 stamina and 1206 health.
@@Deltiasgaming Thanks for the answer Deltia! I’m hoping an Atronach Breton with dark conversion and dodge roll cost reduction will help with that. Spell penetration might take a hit in exchange for 10% more spell damage though. I’ll try it out and see.
So I came back to ESO maybe a month ago and when I hopped on my magsorc I noticed crushing shock no longer seems to proc crystal frags, was this changed or did I forget how to play?
@@Deltiasgaming Yes. When you were using the curse and then waiting to stun them. There was a colored ring under their feet that you said notified you when your curse went off. i’m using same gear,i think majority of sorcs does, but my traits is x4 well fitted, top with cp for dodge roll reduction when shield applied makes me roll dodge kinda as much as i want, also i prefer elemental weapon instead of crushing shock, just for burst, overall it works nicely in cyrodiil

I agree it has a high skill gap HOWEVER there are playstyles on magsorc that are just so easy. So many Mag sorcs now just use elemental weapon and overload spam with occasional frag and curse. I very rarely see any mag sorcs that don’t spam or abuse elemental weapon and overload. I also very rarely see mag sorcs that don’t abuse dark deal and streak. Those two in conjunction make mag sorc so easy to play. But if you play without doing that then yes the skill gap is huge. Speaking from 5 years experience of mag sorc. Nice build anyways deltia. I don't agree much saying it has a high skill cap etc. For me magsorc was, is and will be always the easiest class to play and to master. Especially in bgs is literally a no-brainer and it's the easiest class to have 0 deaths on due to streak. On class like dk where mobility is super trash, you can be a god player, but if you get caught 2vs1 3vs1 or even 4vs1 hard focused nothing saves you, while I saw magsorcs escaping 10vs1 at ease. They are super solid in cp and shine even more in no-cp environment. They are the evergreen pvp class good for beginners and veteran players who want easy to do combos of damage, the best ingame mobility and sustain. They only suffer to heavy dot pressure which melts their shields so easily, but if you play well you won't receive a single melee dot on you, so yeah, you have the possibility to avoid that too. Everything else I agree and great video as usual, peace :D Edit: I am mainly talking of PC players with mouse where magsorc is 10 times easier than in console due to camera rotation speed.

why do you have "armor of the trainee" if you're only gonna equip one piece of the set it doesn't give you Magicka? 6:10
What about using a proc 5-piece set and helm/shoulder combo instead? Something tanky with health and one range dmg proc?
