I thought I heard, " It felt like flames on the side of my face... Breathing breaths of... heaving breasts." Well she said she hated Yvette so jealousy of those breasts would be a motive, LOL.
Tim plays EVERYTHING perfectly. I honestly feel that the ending would be a bit better if everyone was at fault, and the true crime that Mr.Body(The first Mr.Body) committed was paranoia,it feels so much more fitting for such a good movie. Alas,I can see your point. All three versions of his character are amazing.
Yeah, but it makes the least sense. For one, why did Wadsworth have them all come there in the first place if he was Mr. Body? Two the original Mr Body gifts therefore make no sense as they out Wadsworth at risk. Three the call from Hoover would be much more concerning for Wadsworth if he is the real culprit.
The wicked grin/laugh Tim does when Mr. Green says (spoiler) "YOU'RE Mr. Boddy!" is one of my favorite moments in movie history. He's so brilliant. Love Tim.
Tim Curry is one of the best villain actors. He does great with Mr. Body, Pennywise and even has great voice acting with Palpatine in the later seasons of the clone wars.
My friend is a middle school teacher of a small class, and for a class project the kids all put together an (unauthorized) play of Clue. The kids were the ones who adapted the script for the stage. When the end came, the kid playing Mr. Green pulled up the gun and proclaimed "Now I'm going to go home..." and then turned to the audience and gave this HUGE, uncomfortable pause. "...and HUG my wife." I don't know why, but it's the funniest thing I've ever seen in a theater.
It makes so much sense that in a movie adaptation of Clue, there are multiple endings with different killers, and in the true ending, *every main character is a murderer with the protagonist being the one to shoot Mr. Boddy.*
My favourite is the Miss Scarlet ending as well. When I first saw this film, the Miss Scarlet ending was the one the DVD randomly picked. I thought it was really clever!!
+Freddy Lowe ikr? and i love Tim Curry, but i like him too much as the butler to have him as the killer. and The Scarlet scene really made more sense than the Peacock... although i loved Mr. Green's lines in this.
1:48 that whole line of dialog was improved by herself she had little lines in the main script so she went off que for the sake of hilarity and it worked wonderfully.
I like how in this ending, he's an actual badass. I think that's why the phrase " I'm going to go home and sleep with my wife" came in as sort of an ironic statement.
When the movie came out you had the choice of seeing the A, B or C ending depending on which theater you saw it in. In the A & B endings Mr. Green is still gay and Wadsworth is the FBI agent. So that's what's makes the line so funny.
And also explains why he wasn't interested in Evette. Good men like that who love their wives don't go after other women like the other guys did. My dad definitely being one of them, even before he and my mom were married.

I recently rented this movie on vudu and they showed all three endings and this one was my favorite of them all. Besides through the movies you can see clues on how this ending could be the cannon ending.
Madeline Kahn, ladies and gentlemen, was amazing. While she’s confessing in a way only she can, Christopher Lloyd’s confused expression is hilarious. Few beats and Mr. Boddy just interrupts her rant.
Interesting Trivia: This ending has the most characters use the weapons they were given. Mrs. Peacock used the Dagger. (Also used by her in Ending #2) Colonel Mustard used the Wrench Mrs. White used the Rope.
Maybe I'm over-thinking it, but it seems that this ending makes sense. Tim Curry's character knows so much about everything in all 3 endings, so it kind of makes sense that he's the one.
This movie was good and you got to give props to the director and producers from making each ending including the hypothetical what if and what actually ending be played randomly across theaters so one person would get one ending while another would get a different one depending on where they went to go watch it.
Professor Plum in the study with the candlestick. Mrs. Peacock in the kitchen with the knife. Colonel Mustard in the lounge with the wrench. Mrs. White in the billiard room with the rope. Miss Scarlet in the library with the lead pipe. Mr. Green in the hallway with the revolver.
My favorite ending of the 3. The entire film is great though. Great writing, terrific acting, and just a very witty plot. All the main characters just nail it.
You know, i love all of these scenes, but for once, i would like Mr. Curry not to be the villain in this.. i just love him as the Butler. Miss Scarlet as the murderer (especially explained in the scene) makes more sense.
+TheHauntedMansionFan12345 There was going to be a 4th ending which had Wadsworth (Curry) being the actual murderer but John Landis actually scrapped it straight away cos it was too much to do instead of having one of three endings.
TheHauntedMansionFan12345 yea, this one doesn't seem reliable. There were also originally going to be endings for Colonel Mustard, Mrs White, Mr Green and Professor Plum as in the Clue: The Storybook, there is a picture of Christopher Lloyd as Professor Plum holding the revolver whilst smoking the pipe, so it would have echoed one of the actual endings of the game - "Professor Plum in the Library with the Revolver"
This is the ending we got when i saw the movie in my Forensic Science class. I just saw the others and honestly, this was the best ending because i never expected Mr.Green to be the FBI agent and Wadsworth to be the real Mr.Boddy.
I love how Mr. Green pretends to store his glasses in his pocket so he can grab his gun, and while I understand why other people might not like this ending, I personally believe that, while it doesn't really work as the climax of a murder mystery, it does a good job of establishing the point of Clue as a game: Anyone could be the culprit. That's why I was ecstatic to discover this ending at the very end, it's the perfect adaptation! Say whatever you want about it not making any sense, but I definitely felt satisfied with it.
Mr Green, with the revolver, in the hall....we’ve been waiting the whole movie to here those words to determine who was guilty but when they were finally said it didn’t mean much... Mr Green was the most innocent person there

I love how just drops Ms. White down the stairs. So randomly hilarious
Especially since Tim Curry's character don't care and just continues explaining
He does accuse her of murder right after, so it makes sense.
It's Mrs. White. Just saying
"YEET"
Mrs. White: "This is incredible!!"
Wadsworth: "Not as incredible as this!!"
[Wadsworth let's Mrs. White fall down the stairs]
