Super actually hit the nail on the head with NYXL, we all love our boys and want them to succeed wherever they go, it'd just be nice if they succeeded on NYXL. For some reason the org/staff never wants to play libero even though he always ends up being the best on whatever flex role they need, Mano is one of the best main tanks but his defensive playstyle just isn't optimal in 2020, SBB is my favorite player in the league but I, unfortunately, believe that he peaked in 2018, and Jjonak hasn't seemed like he's improved at the same rate that other flex supports have or that he demands too many resources when that's not optimal in 2020 either. I want NYXL to win but with all the signings that have already happened with no pickups in either players or staff, I have a bad feeling for next year NYXL with an all-new tank line, a DPS lineup that is never played, and possibly an ok main support who has never played with Jjonak.
Honestly, it’s so reassuring to hear people in the esports scene talk about Covid. The nature of esports and its adaptability to online makes esports professionals quick to embrace quarantine. As a grocery store employee, I spend a lot of time worrying about my ability to spread Covid-19, and there’s a terrifyingly high percentage of people in my life who don’t take that seriously. I sympathize with the pro players and all the casters and analysts who feel burnt out by the grind and are fatigued by having their professional and personal lives occupy the same physical space and their lives. I wish it wasn’t so brutal for them, but I do really appreciate how safe they all same to be behaving, and how much pro-Covid safety they promote, from the “play apart together” stuff on OWL broadcasts to Shock closing off the restaurant in Seoul for the players and staff to celebrate their championship victory. To Super, the Plat Chat crew, and all other esports pro players and staff, thank you. It legitimately warms my heart that I’m not alone in this pandemic.
I'm so happy for the PlatChat crew to be able to score Super star player Supertf on their little podcast show. I'm glad Mr. Super gave you guys a chance. You guys are moving up.
People don't seem to realize that a likely reason for OW2 radio silence is that they want to continue selling their game. As soon as you announce a date or start getting people excited about OW2 then your OW1 sales will start dropping. The reason for the Blizzcon announcement of OW2 is to manage expectations regarding the lack of new content in OW1 while all their resources are dedicated to OW2. There is not really a better way to do this that I can think of, this was their best move IMO.
I mean, seeing as OW2 is basically a massive free expansion for OW1 + a story mode and other PVE and cosmetic changes I would be surprised if people stopped buying OW1 accounts just because OW2 is coming soon
Super was a great presence on this cast. It would be great if we could see other pros come in every now and then, especially now that we're in the offseason.
One of the best episodes to date :) super was the perfect guest to have on to wrap up the season cos he was there for the whole thing and has all the inside knowledge!
To add onto the coaching discussion of good coaches in the league, heres some good news for dallas fans. According to crimzo and paintbrush, Yong is one of the few coaches that gets into the thick of it and actually coaches. Rush should be the same
Overwatch was announced literally one year in development... even though Blizzcon 2014 had a demo for it, it was far from done like 80% had to still be built up from scratch. Considering all this, why do people get surprised when Overwatch 2 has no release date or no news at all, It's literally so raw even though they made it look presentable in Blizzcon 2019, Its what the did with OW1 all we can do now is wait.
The assistant gm Avalla is doing everything right now for Paris right now. That is why there has been no social media posts or anything. And yeah their budget is super tight. Also xzi denied an offer from Dallas because he wanted to be on a mixed roster
Official NYXL fan here; totally agree with super about NYXL and Nenne. Edit: when he said Nenne and Libero I literally creamed my pants. I love you super
??? thats doesnt do anything. The point of the checkpoints in 2cp is so you don't have to cap the entire point in one push. With KOTH the percentage doesn't reset if you don't full cap.
@@onepants6081 Very fair point. I was thinking it would help with some capture points that are notoriously hard to cap - like city center oasis - not feel so hard to cap with random teams, but I definitely see your point.
@@dogs-game-too Oh, i didnt understand what you meant at first, but now i do, i thought you meant a checkpoint in terms of the control point progress. i think the game already has some form of this system, as long as you contest the point your recapture percentage doesnt go away. Adding a 50% mark could definitely be a good idea and would give people more of a sense of progress on ladder. But i see ur point.
I think the playoff format needs to change. I like the double elim but they need some sort of series component. When u talk about Paris and how great their season was all they need is to have one bad day or play against a team who was really on it that day (or both in both games) and their cinderella season is over. Washington for example would have had more issues with their run cause teams could play a game than create a strategy to play against it instead of short notice and having surprise play a bigger factor than skill and strategy.
Should get Packing10 on the show one week. He's been on others and he's a great interview, very straight shooter, too. Interesting perspective with hero pools, too.
Here's a question for you. Is overwatches monthly player count boosted by alt accounts? Because Personally I have 4 total accounts and I play on all of them periodically. I don't think its super common to have 4 but most people have and use at least two.
They talk about how it's a miracle they even finished the season when there is LoL worlds where it was 100x better in production while having the same global pandemic.

Team culture especially, they seemed the dullest out of the top 4.
Yes! As a Philly fan it was just frustrating to watch. I'd also like to say that letting go of Poko and EQO hurts so bad man. I think Philly really needed to play EQO more.
