There is a limit on how much energy hybrid cars can use per lap. That green bar shows how much more energy he can use, not the charge level of the battery. And that available amount resets each lap.
@@jiricharvat4211 absolutely right. Thats why they accelerate like a hell during exiting corners. But they cannot use the boost recklessly, as they need to use it mostly on mulsanne straights(exiting the chicanes). Unlike the non hybrid P1, their ic engines are less powerful (about 150hp or more) so the non hybrid should've higher top speed in straight lines. Wec and aco has done well with the BoP and EoT to make sure the privateers can compete with the manufacturers
Ikr! Forza needs to step up the game. A sound update is in need. They need the full functionalities. If you play project cars 2 you can be the 919 with working HY
In the 1990s the LMP1s reached 330kmh more easily than those reaching 290kmh. But unfortunately the rules made LMP1 slower and slower. It was for LMp1 to get even faster without Hibrid and with the hybrid still further ripped. These current rules are making the LMP1 slower and slower .. They could put a V8 powered to Biofuel with higher RPM, higher torque and the hybrid system .... If they did it that way would be technical, ecological (for being a motor driven to biofuel and the hybrid system ) and would be much faster and more aggressive than in the 90's, cars would reach from 335 to 340kmh without the Hybrid and with the hybrid would reach more than 380kmh with the chicane .... without the chicane it would pass from 400kmh .... if they did something like that it would bring back the glory of LMP1
So what, these cars might have lower top speed but they are much faster in corners. So they end up being significantly faster than the cars from 1980s and 1990s.
reaching 340kph at the end of a 2km straight sounds good for headlines, but it is not really the fastest way to get around a track. The LMP1H cars had 1000+hp, but would only apply it at the first few seconds of the straight. 120-280kph takes just 4-5 seconds. Speed at the beginning of the straight carries the car for the whole straight. where as energy used to reach 340kph at the end of the straight is just wasted and not only do you need to spend more fuel to get to those speeds, your avg speed is slower too.
I think it is because tyres get unreliable beyond 350Kmph. I understand that as tyres approach that speed the circuit owners are obliged to put in chicanes. Can anyone confirm or correct?
The car has only around 550 hp (plus little hybrid for acc) and much aero. 330 kph is than normal. F1 with 800 hp (plus hybrid) and much more aero only 320, plus DRS. This car is no Veyron/Koenigsegg with 1000 hp and almost zero aero (relativly). And: straights longer than 2 km are not allowed, FIA. Straights in China, Baku, Le Castellet, Spa and here, Le Mans, are a little bit shorter than 2 km.
thx for the upload with telemetry man~~ subcribed :D :D
Thanks! stay tuned for the 6 hours of nurburgring, with more onboard cams
love your channel Julián, awesome uploads!
80 kph is just like a walk in the park
Yeah it's a little bit strange because when you actually sit in a car that's moving at 80km/h it doesn't feel as slow as it appears in the video.
Was my first thought too! 😉
At 11:50 he has zero Hybrid power, then suddenly it goes to full. Does anybody know why?

Better than a video game!
I wish the car had this type of performance and systems in Forza 7. I could really use the HYS boost.
Markus Orison You play Forza 7 lol noob, do you think it’s a good sim

IRacing has the best hybrid system
@@simracingnoob2248 probably. But I haven't played it. Project cars is very good tho
But project cars 2 has the manual deployment, were you have to press a button to deploy the energy
That hybrid system sounds faulty doesn't it? Or is it just the crappiness of the onboard camera?
rüzgar akgül That sound is normal for a racecar.
Can you upload onboards from Toyota if it's possible? :)
Not possible :( Sorry
Julián Gómez oh ok...I thought they also have onboard camera available😔
this video is at le mans.
Best lap (melhor volta) 03:20
How the battery gets filled up so quickly?
No that indicator shows the Limited amount of E-Energy they are able to use every lap. This is why it gets reset every lap.
thx!
It's not from Apple.
@@17plus9 true that too lmao

Well look what prosche created with the 919 evo. Imagine that car in lmp1.
@@EarthIsFlat456 I don't think this guy understands how aerodynamics work :D i'd rather see unbelieveable cornering speeds instead of going 340kph+

quando ele usa o motor elétrico a aceleração é brutal, pena que quando chega nos 250 ele tira pra não gastar tudo kk
anyone knows why he double upshifts sometimes?
Berk Gündoğan fuel saving he is also coasting into corners
Where exactly?
saving fuel. he is also not aggressive into the corners.
slow-zone throught porsche curves :(

Max speed is just 323km/h !!!!!!
Yes
zak bergmann toyota did 336 in the record lap
330 at 4:45
