There are 500k Circassians on the world at max. The only country that recognises the indepence of the Circassian state (Abkhazia) is Russia (and Abkhazia is no more than a Russian vassal state really, it just have some autonomy but other than everything is tied to Russia) And with the recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia, there's no chance of getting recognized by any more countries. So yeah, Circassians are pretty much doomed.

So as Clanricarde, conquer Tyrconnell and become Holy Roman Emperor. Seeing as Tyrconnell is just some other Irish minor, I can't imagine conquering it would be all that profitable, so perhaps a bankruptcy would be inevitable.
Here's how you do it with Circassia: 1.Flexible Diplmacy = As soon as possible, you declare war on Genoa for your core, win or lose doesnt matter, you're not gonna take your core back rather send a peace deal that converts ''you'' Catholic. Focus adm, get the first idea group, take diplo, reach out to Poland, Lithuania, Austria, France etc. You dont expand untill you secure yourself with atleast 2 Catholic Big Boys 2. Cant beat them join them = Again rush for Gazikumukh, declare war as soon as possible, take one province, try to convert it without missionary maintinance, spawn sunni rebels, convert and lastly Join the Ottomans. With the help of Ottomans, whole eastern europe is yours. 3. Ally the Rus = Well this is what Red Hawk shows in the video, unfortunately Moscowy used to be a reliable ally and would do wonders for Orthodox minors in the Balkans and Caucases, but now Muscowy is a big drunk bear. Its do-able but as you see its the hardest way out of these 3 tactics.

While the ottoman war was unwinnable I'd have put off reforming into a horde due to the rough terrain penalty and tried to break them on those mountain forts
I once played Circassia as an Orthodox theocracy. Suprisingly flavourfull, because as far as I know it's the only somewhat genuine way to become a theocracy as an orthodox nation. I think that there even was a special government reform for orthodox theocracies.
I know it's A to Z but when taking cores back for another vassal in a reconquest you should use the return core tab since won't be charged the unjustified demands for the 2nd vassal.
Pirate Ireland is great fun and easy to do as an Irish minor. Clanricarde ideas are bleh but they do go with the boat flavour of pirates and imperialism cb in 15th century is pretty good
I think that if you're doing reconquest, it's better to use the "return province" peace deal rather than just taking land like normal conquest. I think the AE is lower or something.
So, a bunch of my games recently has England PU France and Spain. It’s been super annoying and then Russia and the common wealth being the other 2 super powers. Even with a tech advantage and more troops, I’ve taken some serious losses. Weirdest part is Sweden ends up over Denmark and absorbs Norway. 3 times now.
Completely agree with Hawk, Huamnist is objectivley useless - especially as Orthodox considering partirarch authority buffs. This actually seems like an incredibly fun run that I might give a try!
The Ottomans were insane this game, I don't usually see them so far into mamluks/persia/hungary at the same time this early. They knew they had to stop super Circassia.
Not exactly the only tribal Christian nation, East Africa has one Coptic nation, Makuria, and it can also become a horde I think, and if you form Ethiopia you get tons of reform progress from missions
Everyone in the comments saying ZAZ is an Orthodox Steppe Nomad. Do they even play the game? Or just buy it and watch others play it? Sich Rada is literally a republic reform, they get elections every 4 years, government progress follows republic government tiers, not the tribal the not monarchy. Sich Rada has has cav bonuses that fits the cossacks, they also have government interactions similiar to Russian government abilities. You can raid neighbour and get free dev in your lands, get attrition reduction and movement speed and spawn free cossack cavs. Its actually my fav government reform, they used to be able to raid coastlines just like pirates ( %100 historical ) but devs got rid of it with a patch.
Well, they can raze provinces but their government is some kind of a Republic (Sich Rada or something like that, I don't remember well), not a horde. Basically Cossacks leads the country.

When you release it, either gets monarchy reform by lithuania or gets independence by itself which makes it tribal monarchy just same as Circassia. And then there's a decision. You click it and it makes you a *REPUBLIC* . Not a horde. And no you dont have the same abilities as hordes. You have buffed cav modifiers, similiar russian gov abilities, and election every 4 years just like other *REPUBLICS* also no horde unity or legitimacy its republican tradition you get. Why so many people calling ZAZ horde? Why is that? I just cant understand it. The only possible answer is that people buy the game but dont play it themselves, rather watch others play it. huh? It takes 5 min to check it if its a horde or a republic.
I love your videos and I really enjoyed this one, but as a French I didn't really like the fact that you used a background video showing the Louvre Museum and its pyramid while advertising MasterWorks. The Louvre only has works of art belonging to the State, no private ones. Be careful though, the use of the image of the Louvre is subject to private property rights
Why would you fight the ottomans in mountain forts? Steppe nomads get a massive 25% shock damage debuff outside of flat terrain. You should have let Muscovy wear them down and saved your manpower for proper terrain. It was an interesting idea, and a fun video, but execution at times was painful - I would have preferred to see you take quantity instead of a meme choice like humanist, since I would also like to know if this campaign is reasonably doable/survivable.
Humanist is anything but useless. -10% idea cost (another -10% from the trade-humanist policy), -2 national unrest, -10 years of seperatism (another -5 from the offensive-humanist policy), increased religious harmonisation speed, and the rest are all massive. +2 tolerance of heretics and heathens may not seem powerful, but together with the enforced enterfaith dialogue priviledge, it makes converting provinces pointless. Amazing idea group overall. Not the best one for tall gameplay, though, which I gather you prefer over managing large nations. Still, it is a great idea groups even for nations such as the HRE, Poland/Lithuania/Commonwealth, Qing, etc.
Can't wait for when you get to France or England you'll get to do something like "The United Imperial Kingdom of Great Britain and China" and get the mandate of heaven, hre emperorship and add some other strange twist

Wasn't humanist nerfed a bunch of time ago? I remember taking it every campaign a few years back and having no rebels whatsoever, but nowadays it pretty much does nothing
i dont think humanist was nerfed. i think unrest was reworked in general. now what does the trick the most is getting high autonomy in a province. thats the only think the reduces the unrest enough so that rebels dont spawn but you want rebels for army tradition :P

Playing in the Caucasus is always fun until the 1500s hit, and the Ottomans stop letting you have fun. Tried too many times on so many different versions of the game, but there's no surviving them 99% of the time.

Ottomans in this patch are basically a carpet of green with 200k troops in the early 1500s every game.

The Ottomans were insane this game, I don't usually see them so far into mamluks/persia/hungary at the same time this early. They knew they had to stop super Circassia.
Not exactly the only tribal Christian nation, East Africa has one Coptic nation, Makuria, and it can also become a horde I think, and if you form Ethiopia you get tons of reform progress from missions

Sich Rada is literally a republic reform, they get elections every 4 years, government progress follows republic government tiers, not the tribal the not monarchy.
Sich Rada has has cav bonuses that fits the cossacks, they also have government interactions similiar to Russian government abilities. You can raid neighbour and get free dev in your lands, get attrition reduction and movement speed and spawn free cossack cavs.
Its actually my fav government reform, they used to be able to raid coastlines just like pirates ( %100 historical ) but devs got rid of it with a patch.

Well, they can raze provinces but their government is some kind of a Republic (Sich Rada or something like that, I don't remember well), not a horde. Basically Cossacks leads the country.
Sich Rada is a republic. Do you guys even play the game? When you release it, either gets monarchy reform by lithuania or gets independence by itself which makes it tribal monarchy just same as Circassia. And then there's a decision. You click it and it makes you a *REPUBLIC* . Not a horde. And no you dont have the same abilities as hordes. You have buffed cav modifiers, similiar russian gov abilities, and election every 4 years just like other *REPUBLICS* also no horde unity or legitimacy its republican tradition you get.
Why so many people calling ZAZ horde? Why is that? I just cant understand it. The only possible answer is that people buy the game but dont play it themselves, rather watch others play it. huh? It takes 5 min to check it if its a horde or a republic.

I love your videos and I really enjoyed this one, but as a French I didn't really like the fact that you used a background video showing the Louvre Museum and its pyramid while advertising MasterWorks. The Louvre only has works of art belonging to the State, no private ones. Be careful though, the use of the image of the Louvre is subject to private property rights

in the current patch the ottomans are so strong that it isn't fun to play anywhere near them.
Why would you fight the ottomans in mountain forts? Steppe nomads get a massive 25% shock damage debuff outside of flat terrain. You should have let Muscovy wear them down and saved your manpower for proper terrain. It was an interesting idea, and a fun video, but execution at times was painful - I would have preferred to see you take quantity instead of a meme choice like humanist, since I would also like to know if this campaign is reasonably doable/survivable.
I first converted Circassia to Islam and then grew up in the region with the Ottoman alliance.

Humanist is anything but useless. -10% idea cost (another -10% from the trade-humanist policy), -2 national unrest, -10 years of seperatism (another -5 from the offensive-humanist policy), increased religious harmonisation speed, and the rest are all massive. +2 tolerance of heretics and heathens may not seem powerful, but together with the enforced enterfaith dialogue priviledge, it makes converting provinces pointless. Amazing idea group overall. Not the best one for tall gameplay, though, which I gather you prefer over managing large nations. Still, it is a great idea groups even for nations such as the HRE, Poland/Lithuania/Commonwealth, Qing, etc.
Can't wait for when you get to France or England you'll get to do something like "The United Imperial Kingdom of Great Britain and China" and get the mandate of heaven, hre emperorship and add some other strange twist

Also, as far as I'm aware, the rulers of the IRL Mongol Empire were elected, though only members of the ruling family could be elected, so it was kinda scuffed, but still. If you can Raze provinces and you get the tribal conquest CB you are a horde.
Wasn't humanist nerfed a bunch of time ago? I remember taking it every campaign a few years back and having no rebels whatsoever, but nowadays it pretty much does nothing

i think unrest was reworked in general.
now what does the trick the most is getting high autonomy in a province.
thats the only think the reduces the unrest enough so that rebels dont spawn

Playing in the Caucasus is always fun until the 1500s hit, and the Ottomans stop letting you have fun. Tried too many times on so many different versions of the game, but there's no surviving them 99% of the time.
you dec war genoa to take back your core, win or lose, you send them a peace deal that converts circassia to catholic (heresies can convert each other in the peace deal) then start with diplo ideas and reach out to poland, austria , france etc... this is the only way for circassia.
