Very cool! Will you ever do the fast foxtrot like they used to do in the 20's and 30's? Formal dances are beautiful, but people used to really "cut a rug" back then, little to no formal training, just get up on the dance floor and figure it out as they went along. Everyone danced and now almost nobody knows how or is afraid of doing it wrong. Would be so great to relearn the basics of how to just have fun again =)
Here we have social foxtrot steps (maybe thats close to what you expect) ruclips.net/video/j2s9t0Ek960/видео.html and here ruclips.net/video/rtk9L-9jCXI/видео.html
@@EgilsSmagris Not sure. Maybe if were sped up to some actual foxtrot jazz music? Steps kind of look the same, but the rhythm is so different. Here's a jazz age example: ruclips.net/video/Bj8TsfWYXEs/видео.html
Hello I love all your videos I have a question about this video. 3 minutes 51 seconds into the video of the text says three falloways but that step does not seem to take place, only the third Fall Away of the three Fall Away pattern seems to be demonstrated.. please let me know if I'm missing something
Greetings Eglis, I have several questions about this routine. 1.) Couple does the hesitation heel pull from outside partner position because previous curved feather which ends in outside partner. Does this hesitation heel pull require more rotation to the right because couple starts from outside partner? Presently, I do foxtrot rumba cross from natural turn - heel turn for lady. This allows lady to step inline to do the hesitation to rumba cross section. 2.) You have couple not do the natural pivot as last step of rumba cross? Is this because couple does the drop fallaway ronde and man needs to be diagonal back to Lod ? Or is this the technique of this group figure such that last step of rumba cross has no natural pivot when following with drop fallaway ronde ? Thank you so much for your response. Sincerely, Regina, NYC 3.) After the side cross you do waltz weave steps 2-3. Are you referring to steps 2-3 of waltz weave from PP ? 3.) If steps 2-3 of waltz weave did the couple continue with the waltz weave ending with open or closed outside change? Or did couple end this routine different after the waltz weave steps 2-3 ?
Hi Regina, thanks for interesting and detailed questions. 1) Heel Pull is about same amount of turn (it depends more on direction you finish curved feather).Your choreography - rumba cross after natural turn also is good version. 2) Yes, we don't need pivot here because of next direction (backing DC) and also because next step is back in fallaway position. If we would do pivot next step would be forward (for men). 3) Yes, after side cross we dance steps 2-3 from waltz weave from PP. Good follow after waltz weave steps 2-3 would be heel pull and feather or curved feather ending.

What is a tumble turn?
Tumble Turn = Feather Finish + Reverse Pivot
Shouldn't it be 2 Fallaways as there is not a 3rd Fallaway?
Three Fallaways is original name of advanced figure. We use part of it.
