As a teenager my family toured Lewes (we were staying in Bethany). I absolutely adored the Zwanendaale (sp) Museum. I later took my young husband there. My new in-laws found a barely still there old hotel fascinating. Thanks for teaching me more about the real Lewes. It’s too easy to get stuck in the sprawling discount malls on Route One. Oh, we took the Cape May -Lewes Ferry over the years. Great day trip or alternative way home to NJ for my family. I’ve always loved boats!
Lewes is a charming town. Love the 1700's and 1800's architecture. I don’t go to Lewes during season as it's tough to get to from Fenwick Island. But can't say enough mice things about Lewes.
You convinced us to visit Delaware/ Rehoboth Beach in October for our vacation. Love your videos! Unfortunately we're getting snow here in Colorado this week also. Keep up the good work my friend!

Hey John! November we typically start to see temps cool - 60s most days on average. There are some places downtown Rehoboth that will have closed, mainly along the boardwalk. But most of the restaurants that are not open air stay open year round. Anything along Route 1 will be open still as well. In downtown Lewes the only thing that may not be open is the Dairy Queen, most shops on 2nd street remain open year round
Dairy Queen? Its a big corporate franchise. Isnt there a mom and pop ice cream shop that is better than DQ? McDs wouldnt make a top 6 list of my home town.

The weather at Lewes will be similar to Freeport.

Does Lewes beach have bathroom facilities?
If you are at the public parking area at Beach 1 they do.
If you enter from another public access point between homes, there is not bathrooms
