It is so amazing how far Disney animation would come within ten years between this Silly Symphony short and with the underwater scenes in Pinocchio. There was so much depth and realism when Pinocchio is walking on the ocean floor and all the underwater creatures that he and Jiminy Cricket encounter. The Silly Symphony series were really where the Disney animators were learning their craft and experimenting.
