This is by far my favourite of the series.
I have followed Adventures with purpose for quite some time now so I remember this case well, and I was shocked by just how quickly the team discovered her, despite the local PD etc conducting a thorough search of the area.
As for the side issue with AwP I did hear about it and know that Doug has now parted ways with Jared. Regardless I think what they do helping to locate the lost and missing loved ones and honourable thing to do.

I'm glad you liked the episode! I only watched the one video of theirs on this case, but it did make me want to watch others! I try to be unbiased in my research, so I kinda felt like I had to put the bad on with the good, but I personally think what they do is admirable and a fresh take on true crime content....a different angle.

And as a side note: I wouldn’t be a good detective/cop/agent bcuz I wouldn’t be able to let go of cases like this… I don’t like cold cases simply bcuz it’s an unsolved mystery … it’d drive me nuts!
Thank goodness it's not just me! I was like... eyebrows raised all over the place! Then when the reports came out it all just POOF. Not talked about anymore. Like closed and done moving on now. WHAT?! Stinks all over the place imo.

Sundown is pretty convinced there was maybe a kid at the party related to LE somehow and was involved in whatever happened who then got help from said LE to misdirect or impede the investigation.

I have seen on TV if you are becoming submerged in a vehicle, you are supposed to let the water fill then swim out as if you try to swim out while the water is rushing in you are pushed back down. It is SUS that they did not find her submerged car if that shallow of water….
I've never heard that, but it makes sense! And how could they NOT find the car in such shallow water?! Makes zero sense.
I watched the video done by adventures with purpose on this cae and their dive. Can you say cover up?

Did the autopsy note how long her body had been submerged? Is it possible that she and her vehicle were dumped into the lake after the teams searched? Someone is covering up and it makes my heart break for her parents and grandparents.
That autopsy sounds pretty sketchy, imho. It sounds like the Medical Examiner and the PD are covering for each other. Sounds like the Chief was saying his ‘divers’ only had a resort diving course. 😖 He is using every excuse and hoping one sticks.
I think that third theory is the one that makes me the angriest. How would these parents feel if it was THEIR child missing? Disgusting! Teach your kids to make decisions fully knowing the consequences, and then if they go over the line, they need to be dealt with.
Your final theory of other people driving her body into the reservoir is the one that rings the truest with me. I think that the PD and ME were both incompetent and because of that they have messed up the evidence. That poor family! They are in a perpetual hell wondering who did this and are they seeing them every day? I would have to move away because I would look at every person I see as a suspect.
I love hearing these stories, Sweetie! You have such a keen mind that loose threads are easily spotted and pulled; inconsistencies can be the way a case is solved (although I know I don’t have to tell you!). I also recognize the amount of research a video like this takes, so please don’t overtax yourself! What I am trying to say (clumsily, I admit!) is that while I really enjoy the mental exercise of trying to figure these cases out, please make sure that you are keeping a work/life balance, my Dear❣️❣️❣️ (((((Hugz))))))❣️❣️

When a car goes into a body of water it’s usually head first so tipping downward. Opening your door is impossible due to the pressure pushing against it. The next thing that happens is your power windows don’t work anymore ( the first thing you should do in this situation is roll your windows down immediately). I don’t know how far her front window was open…a crack? Halfway? She probably couldn’t fit out. I’m assuming she began ‘climbing’ the car trying to get away from the water that was coming in from the front end (she’s panicking). It’s impossible to break the windows unless you have a special tool. I’m not sure why her passenger side window was broken but we’re not sure, again, to what extent. So she’s climbing up to the back of the car only to get trapped (again panicked). I don’t know how anything else happened but that’s my theory one the car, her lack of escape and body placement.
Did they say her lungs were full of water? Like did she drown?

LOL @ asked too soon. Yeah I wanted to know about her lungs too! But I couldn't find any mention of it, granted I didn't do a targeted search....but now I kinda want to... lol. It would settle some issues for me if I knew that tid bit of info. The one passenger front window was busted out completely and the back driver side window was about halfway down. The divers opined that she was tiny enough to have fit through it to get out but we don't REALLY know that for sure.

Interesting! And if she wasn't wearing her seat belt and the water came rushing in, as small as she was, the water could have carried her to the back of the car?
@@Mushmellow79 yes and she might have also hit her head on the passenger window breaking it. Although I didn’t hear anything about bruising.
There was no physical trama at all. Zilch.
Thank you for your video on Kiely! 🙏🕊️💜 In my opinion using logic and common sense, this was no accident. If it truly was, why so many secrets? What are they hiding and why? It was just an accident , right?
Kiely was not drunk and did not drive herself in the lake from the BACK of her CRV. She had to have been placed in the trunk, strapped in by a seatbelt (you can see the seat belt hanging out of the hatch door in the AWP video) AFTER she stopped breathing then the CRV was either pushed or driven by someone other than her into the lake. The autopsy/toxicology had no findings that she was drunk, that she had any water in her lungs, ear canal, or stomach, but showed her lungs were very underweight. So how did she drown then? Why did she have only peas in her stomach? Weird! Kiely was cremated right away so no other examination could be done (IMO). They had a plan. Medical Examiner then suddenly “retires”. The LE there aren’t incompetent, they did what they did accidentally on purpose. The extraction of the car saddens me the way they flipped her car over without wrapping it to make sure nothing came out (like her laptop, mints, and the other things found by a YT creator) or to protect Kiely’s body from being thrashed around. Then the LE lady puts her hands all over the steering wheel / rubs it without gloves. All on national news too!! Not to mention, I don’t believe a thing Sami says. She contradicts herself every time she speaks. LE allowed her to interview teens, weed through tips, and run the show! WHY?! She was not even a friend of Kiely’s. As a mother of a 16 y/o girl, I would never give her my permission to go to a party with Drinking/Rugs-d. Maybe I’m the “mean Mom”? Even Sam Brown said the underage drinking Prosser parties have been going on for years! Why don’t they enforce the law there? The dumb Truckee Way? Who supplied the party with booze? They don’t care. Also the curfew? She was not supposed to be out driving that late. I just have so many questions. Nothing is right in this case. Praying sweet Kiely gets justice ⚖️. She didn’t deserve this, no one does 💔

Thank you for expanding on the facts of the case! I had to cut so much out because I could've gone on for DAYS with all the info that's out there! Maybe I'll make a multi- part video next time I have facts as voluminous! I just hope I did the general story justice with the time I had and that it at least makes people go poking around the info/ raise awareness for Kiely and others like her.
The whole situation just screamed SUS. And that Ryan Upchurch guy? I never did root to the bottom of why he's SO invested. Maybe he is just using his resources for good? I dunno.

I’ve followed this case from day one. Breaks my heart!! I think most people saw it was ruled an accident and just accepted it without knowing any facts (because you’re supposed to trust officials). And then Idaho happened which took attention from Kiely’s case (IMO). After this case, I look at all LE a little different now. I know not all LE are like this but there are many bad apples. I don’t know much about why RU dug in. Maybe because he saw the 🚩🚩🚩 and wanted to try and make a difference? I am wondering why he is the one being sued instead of law enforcement, and/ or the people involved with supplying the under age party and those hiding info from the party. Is it his $$? Guessing so. I think the screenshot of the surveillance video of “Kiely” from the gas station is Sami (IMO). I can’t unsee her. If that was my child, I would not stop until I got some answers. I appreciate you keeping Kiely’s name out there!

I think there was absolutely foul play here. Why there is an obvious cover up happening with law enforcement and her supposed “friends”, Im not sure, but I do wonder 💭 f one of the friends is related to a member of the force i. That town. Either way, someone killed that poor girl was killed, put in her car, and thay car was pushed into the water. So sad.😞. Love these stories, Mush! Keep going with them! 😁💜😁

Sounds like maybe someone in the police force done something and they tried to cover it up and had success... it's sad cause such young life was lost and had great things for her coming ... 💔
Sundown was thinking something similar.... maybe a cops' kid at that party was involved and they tried to cover up not anticipating a skilled volunteer group to come in and actually find her.
My two thoughts as a passive listener to the tale (by passive i mean not thinking with purpose Just Willy Nilly Brain thoughts (farts) as i work on a Rosary) thought #1 Teenagers do Silly and stupid things when in large groups. thought 2# Set up by the "yoututbie" People to (God Forbid) get Clicks and Oh wow Ego Boost "look what we did Kind of thing When the Police couldn't ? ::pats self on back::: What a tragedy for that family
Very possible! Those are theories too! There's been much chatter about the rescue/dive team, questioning their motives and such. Especially since the founder was caught in doodoo.

@@Mushmellow79 okay I've had time to process the information you gave. things stand out like a sore thumb to my mind any way .. And I'm giving the law enforcement the benefit of the doubt here 1 girl and car missing, 2 NO one can find her, 3 divers brought in and area around lake is searched with no results.4 Tips on the tip line roll in about check the water 5 police say nope already checked that area (think map with red X on that quadrant) Okay where would you hide a car every one was looking for? my mind says in a place they already looked at and crossed off the list. Some one had Inside information on what and where the search had been. Hiding it in place already looked in is the Easiest and safest way to "Dispose" of a car /w body... its an Old trick of evade and not get captured Go where they are not looking. Hide your trail and disappear ( I had a father in law who was Shot down behind Enemy Lines in Viet -Nam it was how he made it back to "friendly lines" )

But I failed you (and everyone else)(I'm sorry!!) when I failed to mention another crucial key to this puzzle: there was (later) found footage from a fire watch camara that allegedly shows what was likely Kielys suv leaving the party, turning towards the lake, and driving straight in with no hesitation. Really all that's visible is headlights in the dark, but the time and date stamps match when he phone stopped pinging. No way to tell who was in the vehicle or where they were in the vehicle though.
