Got mine! I hope it helps support you guys and more content! Been enjoying your videos since hot rod garage.
Booooom tube! Moonshine Bandit in full effect! I m glad your not going gaser! You my friend are treating this car and motor with the proper respect! I absolutely love it and can't wait to see this bad ass work of art ripping! There are only 3 people I joined there monthly or buy merch! You, VGG and Cleetus!
Thrash car
The ploughboy off madmax hahah cars name or nassdrag 55
Tony with all the grinding lying around why no carb cover. I've see so many videos of the same.
Finnegan has Blasphemy. You have Profanity.
OH OK. I like it
@@StayTunedTA definitly a winner. Perfect name. Do a poll on it. Best name ive heard. Lol
Blasphemouse
@@StayTunedTA imagine an announcer at a dragstrip:
" next up it's Blasphemy in lane1 against Profanity in lane2! "🤭
That would be hilarious🤣
it's Blasphemi, because Hemi
"Checkered Past" is perfect name for this excellent build.
Ya, but I'm also partial to "HoonShine"
Chester
Rolls off the toung, very fitting for the ride.
“We’re gonna lose the sleeves!” If you guys decide to sell sleeveless shirts you already know what needs to be on them.
100% came here to say the same thing…
I hope that the other Motortrend and former Motortrend guys are helping Steve out as well. I know us fans are helping him the best we can. Thank you for promoting his go fund me page. It has to be humbling to go through what he did and then have to do what he has had to do to cover (which is a crime in itself but that’s neither here nor there).
The 55 is coming along nicely.
Just got home from work, twisted one, Five Guys and Stay Tuned, nice!! Hope all you good people have a good summer! ✌
Livin the dream🍺🍕
LEt's GO!
Dudes living the life
Heck yea brother
Haha same!
Stay Tuned seems like one of the very few car shows where the hosts are obviously so genuinely enthusiastic about their projects, the authentic feels of making progress on a dream car are hard to convey on camera but Tony does it better than anyone. Keep up the good work guys, see ya next Friday
23:07
Dude your channel is the real thing. I started watching your shows a long time ago, during motortrend, but truth is I watched those shows because of your authenticity. Your channel is like hanging t with friends in the garage, you’re doing awesome!
Tony, you put that fuel pump right where the leaf springs will hit it! Use your head for something other than a hat rack!
-my dad, probably
Checkered Past is the one Tony just makes perfect sense
I really like that one.
best name 100%
I agree
@@StayTunedTA man I think "ShineBox" would be a good choice...you get a NASCAR/moonshine reference, the tri-five Shoebox reference, and even a Good Fellas reference.
a sleeveless angelo's gym would be pretty fitting ngl
Did Ray Charles pick the location of that fuel pump? 😂 Those headers are awesome. I love that the car community is stepping up for Steve Magnate, hopefully he doesn't have to sell everything he has to pay his bills.
I donated to Steve's GFM the first day it was posted. It's heartwarming to see so many people from the automotive community come together. We always have each other's back.
We come for awesome car builds. We stay for random zebra facts.
Checkered Past! That one is terrific!
Right? CLEVER.
I like it
Yeah it’s by far the best one
That is good a good one! I threw out “Shart Tank” since it’s brown 💁🏻♂️🤣
best
Header design is an art and a science all within itself. It's cool to see your approach to how to get them to work! I'm really looking forward to seeing how this thing turns out. It's going to be an absolute BBBBEEEAASST!
Harmonics, CFD, and manufacturing sciences all combine
Reasons to watch Stay Tuned: Learned skills in CAD (Cardboard Assisted Design), New and exciting uses for a bandsaw, Count how many times Barb goes "WOOO"! randomly in the episode, Watch some killer old rides come to life.
Best Damn Car Show on the Internet! Love this project.
Thomas! Appreciate you bud!
Is that a Smokey Yunick reference??
@@willhoonforfood4463 Could be…
Good to see Zac drop by for a free meal!! He’s looking well and relaxed, miss his gangster welds
When you're done. you,Alex Taylor and Mike Finnegan take pics with all three cars that would be awesome see all three together 👍
Thanks Tony. You guys are amazing and a joy to watch the fabrication work you do, come together.
My favorite part of Friday evenings is to watch the new stay tuned vid! Thanks Tony!
Right on, thanks for watching!
Checkered Past is a killer choice.
46:00 i had a Caddy that did that. Get up to temp and start slipping. Turned out the tranny had a bunch of clutch matter and i did a flush. Dump some clean run through gears and dump it out. Last i filled it and dumped a bottle of Lucas trans stuff and i ran the crap outta that airbagged caddy. It was a staple of cruises in Dallas area in the early 90's. I sold it and some kid totalled it playing with the coffin box i built for the switches while driving. Trunk was huge so i had a couple huge tanks for a lotta air storage. Ran 3 electric compressors and one engine driven to keep them full. One of the funnest cars i built. Wanted to juice it but couldnt afford it at the time.
I like Chequered Past. You could get a cool sign writer to paint some old school distressed taxi chequers down the side and something like Tangelo’s NASCAR Taxis on the door.
Glad to see so many are donating to help Steve (nit even trying to spell his last name) so I did a smaller donation and join the site. It's payday and I am dumb enjoy
Since you had trouble spelling "not", it's wise of you to not attempt "Magnante" 😂
The way you and past employees treat each other says a lot about what a good guy you are.
HUGE FAN of a high horsepower small block in an old 55 or 57 Chevy. Great build brother
Cool video Tony! I too have a 55 and haven't decided on a powertrain just yet and I enjoy seeing your work. Thank you also for Steve's link. Keep up the great content Tony. I'm enjoying it from Florida. 🤜🤛
The 'Pie Runner 55' is probably my favourite build yet, beauty work yall. Stoked to hear this thing sing, rowing through the gears, and rippin up the twisties!
Yes, I can't wait! So excited to watch that tach blast past 8k.
‘Pizza Problem’
Ya'll know that scene in Return Of The Jedi, where the Ewok rides the Speeder? Yeah, this'll be just like that, with Tony hanging off the steeringwheel like a flag off a pole!
Love your project. One of my first cars was a '55 Handyman Wagon. In 1967 I traded a '59 Apache p/u for it. The p/u had a 331 Hemi in it with a 3 spd, and the '55 had a 283 & powerglide. In early 1968 I wrecked the '55 in a collision with a '67 Belvedere cop car. I bought a '55 210 2-dr sedan roller and put the 283 & powerglide in it. Stupidly, I sold the 210 to a friend, who proceeded to wrap it around a tree. If you keep the rear drums, upgrade to a sent of wagon shoes & drums, more brake surface is a good thing. Another '55 210 is my bucket list car. But this time I want a 6.2 LS & 6-speed. The '55 Chevy in most any form is, IMO, the absolutely BEST looking car ever produced.
Loving the channel mate. enjoying the rawness of the builds and just the general shop banter. Killing it
Tony has not once broken any car.
I would venture to guess I have also not driven your car?
Not ever
@@StayTunedTA what I said was dripping with sarcasm. Have Freiburger arrange for a time for you to drive my 240sx. I bet I can get you to pass out before I hit a 1/4 mile, with me driving.
@@DennisFrechette-et6gg you get the sarcasm.
THIS MOST DEF NEEDS TO BE A SHIRT!
“Manual brakes because we’re grownups.” I love it! Can’t wait to see this car at the nostalgia drags at Cecil Cty. Heading down tomorrow btw.
Love the energy you’re bringing. Can’t wait to see you drive this car!!!
Gotta say, love the background music in this channel! It goes perfectly eith the work. Its my favorite of all channels i watch.
There was this super nice dude at my work who raced on the weekend and since I was also into cars we became fast friends. I went out to his house one weekend for a cookout and he had a bunch of older vehicles that he used for demo derbies, but also some cars he ran on an oval at the local racetrack. He had one car with zoomies and when he fired it up it sounded like angels and bald eagles all singing in unison.
Stay Tuned is my gateway to the weekend. So glad it is here!
I AGREE
Love the way the Buick sounds. The Chevy is an awesome project, loving that one, too.
Excellent build, with that screaming SB2 and some handling suspension I know you will throw at it I think "The Drifty 5" would be a perfect name for it.
Ok the bandsaw brotank is just a boss move, love it!
HAHAH
Checkered past should definitely be the name, fits perfect
Massive fan of what you guys do and can get done, I'm an adult automotive apprentice and it is awsome to see! and I will never quit play with cars, keep up the good work and can't wait for the next 1
Checkered past is clever. I hope you do full exhaust but with motorized cutouts for when you want to be rowdy.
Barb🤣🤣🤣”Who’s pipes?”
Call it "Junior Johnson" Junior Johnson
Raced the number 55 from 1955-1957, starting 42 times and winning five races. He started his NASCAR career running moonshine. It fit's the whole vibe of the car!
I used to watch hot rod garage because of you !! , your entertaining and passionate about what you do which goes a long way , it’s also awesome watching you build something rather than cobbling it together !!
Keep up the good work from your viewers in Europe 👍
Damn that sounds good on the dyno! Yes, please!! What a cool build!
"It's not pizza it's okay.
More like a tomato cake"
Lmao 🤣😂 I couldn't agree more!
Me too Chicago deep dish is more like lasagna on a bread crust
You’re not wrong, and I’m a lifelong Chicagoan. Deep dish is its own thing, and Tony described it perfectly, the mistake the rest of the country makes is thinking that deep dish is all Chicago has pizza-wise, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Get out of the tourist areas and get out into the neighborhoods and experience the awesome thin crust cut into squares that is Chicago.
Nah, NY style for a snack a Chicago style for a real meal.
Yes yes yesssss cant wait to see this old beast purr in power! Happy Friday ST!!
I know you guys already know this and have a million details going through your head at once while thrashing on that 55 but don't forget to put some rubber bushings between those aluminum fuel cell mounting tabs and the trunk floor. You know the vibrations will crack that aluminum sooner rather than later if you don't.
hopefully the name has something to do with moonshine. awesome job fellas, cant wait to see it cruising down the road
Call it the "Johnson 55'" . When you wack the loud pedal, it will wrastle your "Jimmy's". 🤣
As someone who wrote film crit (establish my bone fides) locally. When I see your video post. First thing I do is look how long the video is. Seeing this was longer than usual, I was still shocked when you said you had run out of parts for this episode. To me it felt like twenty minutes had gone by. If that. Great project. Good to see the young welder back. Zimmy?
That's one Nasty-Car!! Love the work you guys do! Grew up right outside P-ville, so it's definitely cool to see you cruising on familiar streets! 👍🏼
love watching Stay Fed every week
I can't lie to you Tony. I spit up a little beer laughing when I hear "You're gonna lose your sleeves"! Too funny! Love the content dude. I look forward to your videos every Friday!
Glad you enjoyed it! More dumb jokes next week!
HellYeah Boys. That’s how to start a show!!!🤘🤘. This bad boy is coming together. Can’t wait to see it rip!! Beer and a Slice Time! Ready to Stay Tuned 🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
LB Let's GO bud! A lot of work this week but coming out insane!
@@StayTunedTAAppreciate all the work. It’s looking like a monster in the making 🤘🤘
I mean, 55 Revvy is a fantastic name, but Chequered Passed/Past is the best unique name and honestly should win imo
Love the build, 55 Gasser is one of my all-time favourites. I think it should be called " Dirty Deeds"... it has that ACDC hard rock feel about it.
It's always great to see your show Tony, been a loyal watcher since HRG, met you at LS Fest in BG in 2019 when you had the Twinpala. Hopefully I'll get the chance to meet you again one day. I have a 2004 GTO 6M and the engine has been out for a few years. Was planning to build an LQ4 block into a 408 for a while now, good parts are so expensixe now, I have noticed that 7.3 Godzilla blocks are like $1000-1500 new, heads are $600 each assembled, used stock cranks are $200. Holley would cost the same. So I might just do a 7.3 in a Holden since I would have 445-451ci for similar money to a 408 with 823s. It gonna be awhile because I am going to Brazil to get married but, maybe I'll get back on my YT and get more into the community again. You are definatly a huge inspiration.
Thanks for the support! That sounds like a rad project I had no idea that Godzillas were that affordable.
It should be called the 55 Hellaire!
Real happy for you guys from Australia
Yes! So awesome! I want to see Jimmy Johnson drive this thing once it’s done.
You guys keep pumping out awesome builds. I need to get my stuff done.
"The Rev-rolet"😮
I hear ya Scoob!
Philadelphia's own Tony Angelo truly comes alive when the sleeves are optional. Love the channel boys, keep up the good work.
Love this build, can't wait to see what it's gonna end up like.
The headers are wicked cool. Great episode.
Let's go!! Let the fun stuff begin!
Let's GO bud!
Tony i know you love pizza. Next time you're in Chicago a proper tavern style is on me. None of that deep dish (which is pretty good on occasion)
Very sick tony! I'm super jelly
Your videos are like a window into your world, love the view!
Wow, thank you!
Bot!
@@StayTunedTA Tony you gotta stop replying to the bots lol
Paula just gets me
Couldn’t have said it better Skynet.
Keeping with the NASCAR theme, maybe you should run truck arm style suspension like NASCAR. Similar to a 65 pickup but with box tubing. You know what I'm talking about. Love the show. Keep it up.
Nice Job TA and Crew ❤ the 55
Checkered Past has my vote!!👍👍
Tony you keep me tuned in for the next episode loved you on hot rod tv man you’re killing it with your content creativity
the build is coming out sweet so far! the name will come to you when you least expect it!
great job on the headers they look Awsome
Great episode 👏🏽
U have the best car content on RUclips. Love ur show thank you.
This car is going to be amazing
great vid guys,thank you
Hi from Vancouver BC Canada 🇨🇦 🇨🇦🇨🇦 Tony awesome new channel and glad everything is going so well for you. Love the 55 build...More 55...
Thanks for the heads up on zebras been wondering 🤔
Tony said he wants to run it on the drag strip. Slick Trickle
call it Rev Gordon, wicked petty or dale..
love watching this build!
Now this is a cool project....love the power plant...
Yo Tony! This thing is wicked sick! - I am watching this while eating some Wagyu Carne asada, homemade green salsa with Mexican rice and refried beans also homemade while slamming some tequila and some beer! There's a party in my mouth and this Chevy is gonna be a riot! What a great kick-off to my weekend!
Couple names: Rum Runner, Harrison Ford, Dutch Graffiti, Pie in the Sky 😂 (that would be the pizza flying when you drop the hammer).
Bandsaw to the sleeves!!!! Love it!
Those headers are bad ass !!! Killin it guys!
Glad to see that you prepared the frame to not rust behind the fuel pump mount......
Love the headers, gonna be a rowdy ride for sure!
Man those headers look killer! Great work on those!!
My favourite build to watch right here
Awesome project. Will not miss an episode. I would have replaced the trunk floor and painted the firewall, but that is me being OCD.
Awesome job on the headers. And as far as where your build quality/style is, you want to land south of Kindig but way north of Pole Barn Garage. Keep it going
Congrats on 300K subs Boyz!
I teach applied engineering to middle school kids, working in the shop on bandsaw etc... that cut terrified me lol always use a guide and 4 fingers away from the blade. That thing looks like the blade may be dull also. You guys rock, glad all fingers were unharmed (except a few hot links from holding those header tubes!)
"We're gonna MIG weld them on. Nobody cry and at home..."
LOL. That might be the sentence of the year. Looking forward to you doing some righteous drifts at lots of RPMs.
