Andy performed with the Bee Gees on the song You Should Be Dancing. Andy Gibb was announced as joining his brothers on the Bee Gees fulltime. He died before that could happen.
Andrew Gibb (5 March 1958 - 10 March 1988) was an English-Australian singer, songwriter, and actor. ... He was the younger brother of the Bee Gees. Andy came to prominence in the late 1970s through the early 1980s with eight singles reaching the Top 20 of the US Hot 100, three of which went to number-one: "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" (1977), "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water" (1977), and "Shadow Dancing" (1978). In the early 1980s, he co-hosted the American music television series Solid Gold. He also performed in a production of The Pirates of Penzance and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Andy would later have issues with drug addiction and depression. He died on 10 March 1988, five days after his 30th birthday.
I crushed hard on Andy Gibb when I was a kid. Loved him on Solid Gold. Watch Bee Gees biography on HBO Max. Barry talks about Andy and how they were so similar. Andy was going to join the Bee Gees the year he died--that's what Barry says.. Really good documentary. Died too young.
Thank you for this reaction! NOT a one hit wonder! He had MANY HITS!!!!! Andy Gibb was SOOO talented! Check out - Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker Than Water, Don’t Throw It All Away, Rest Your Love On Me (duet with Olivia Newton-John)
Baby bro of the Bee Gees! You can hear his brothers doing backup vocals. There is a clip here which has all 4 of them singin in a concert. Man! Love a lot of Andy’s songs: love is thicker than water, I just want to be your everything, one more look at the night, I can’t help it (duet with olivia newton john)
My older cousin introduced me to great music from a young age. I was about 10 yrs old when she bought Andy's new single "I just want to be your everything" & she had me come over to hear it. She played it over & over on a constant loop, until we both had the lyrics memorized. I just turned 55 on Tuesday (Apr 5) & I still know every word of that song & "Shadow Dancing". Those two songs have been burned into my long term memory, so I'll still be able to sing it verbatim when I'm in my 80's or 90's... if my body lasts that long - LOL! I'm so glad more people are starting to discover the music of the "baby Bee Gee" brother. Even though Andy was 12 years younger than Barry (the oldest), they could have been twins. They share very similar facial features & vocal sound. Barry & Andy looked more like twins than the actual fraternal twins, Robin & Maurice did - LOL! Andy is the baby of the family & he was still little when his older brothers hit it big on the music charts back in the 1960's. With the help of his brothers, Andy embarked upon a solo career, which he was very successful at, even in the short amount of time he created music. He put out a few albums, appeared on many TV shows, & also hosted a variety show called SOLID GOLD that did weekly countdowns of the most popular songs of the time. On occasion, he joined The Bee Gees while on their concert tours or TV specials. Sadly, he died just a few days past his 30th birthday (1988) from a heart condition, which was greatly exacerbated by years of alcohol & drug use. He was the youngest, but the first to pass away. Then twin #1 Maurice died in 2003, followed by the other twin, Robin in 2012. Barry, the oldest boy and his sister, Leslie (first born) are the last two surviving Gibb siblings left...
For next Valentine's Day put "I just want to be your everything" by Andy Gibb. The BeeGees were his 3 older brothers. Andy knocked his brothers off the top of the charts more than a few times. He died before he reached his full potential. Too many people were trying to grab a flicker of his light and the pressure got to be overwhelming. He blew up very quickly at the age of 19 and stayed mainstream for 8 years before he ran into a brick wall.
Another great songs from Andy Gibb is "Love is thicker than Water" .." I just want to be your everything" ❤️❤️❤️ Love Andy ...Gibb brothers are Amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Andy was a gorgeous young man, the youngest of the Gibb boys & of the Beegees. Can u hear the resemblance in sound to his famous brothers? Of course he had his own successful career being younger than the others. He also sounds a lot like his brother Barry & was closer in looks to him than Maurice & Robin. They were a talented family that's for sure & all good looking. Unfortunately, Andy did throw it all away by dying at a tender age of just 30. No-one knew what lifestyle he was living not even his brothers, not till the end when the truth came out. So sad as he was so gifted & left behind a family of his own. Andy also had songs called Words & Music & I Just Wanna Be Your Everything both great songs written with the help of his brothers. His career would still be going today no doubt had he not left us in 1988.

So right, they're an awesome example that music is devoid of colour, gender, race or religion. Music is the most common language shared and represented by all 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Andy had a lot of songs out - couple duets and hosted a tv show called solid gold. I got my nickname Andie from this beautiful man. Miss him 😭
Andy Gibb was a heartthrob back n the day. Every teenage girls dream ! 💓 He died at 30 years old.🙏🏻👼🏻 He was a Bee Gee! 💯💓💥🎹✝
You can hear bee gees doing back up. They helped write a few of Andy's songs.💞👍👍
Andy. Gibb was. A. Wonderful. Singer like. His. Brothers. The. Beegees. Rip. Andy. Gibb God. Speed
Andy performed with the Bee Gees on the song You Should Be Dancing. Andy Gibb was announced as joining his brothers on the Bee Gees fulltime. He died before that could happen.
Such a shame Andy left this world so young . World only saw just so little of his godly talent. RIP legend.
Andy was so brilliant and beautiful ❤️🔥Love your reaction!
He looks just like his oldest brother. Did you recognize the background singers? It is his brothers, better known ae the Bee Gees
Skated (forwards and backwards!) with my friends to this at the skating rink when I was little! Loved Andy 🙏🏻💜
Andy is the Bee Gees little brother who went solo and was to young to sing with his brothers... BUT he died early and very young
Damn right.
He was my 1st concert Andy Gibb RIP ☮️💜
I just want to be your everything. Great song by Andy.
Listen to Starlight! Oh my goodness 😀. Not a huge hit but his vocals are amazing!!! Makes me tear up.
he came out and did his thang...love Andy!
Andy was an amazing talent!!! I had posters all over my room. He was a superatar. He died in 1988
My older cousin introduced me to great music from a young age.
He was 12 years younger than his brothers, Andy had several good hits , he died young at age 30
Andy Gibb.....Don't Throw It All Away.
❤❤❤❤ Andy Gibb, thus song came out i was in 3rd grade. My best friend & i argued which of us would marry him!
whenever i see a video of Andy, it makes me sad. i grew up listening to his and his brother's songs (BEE GEES), only when i turned 22 that my mom told me that he died early...i cried. no, he's not a one-hit wonder. he's got a plethora of them. below are my fave songs of him:
WORDS AND MUSIC (the reason i learn some guitar)
I JUST WANT TO BE YOUR EVERYTHING
AN EVERLASTING LOVE
DON'T THROW IT ALL AWAY
I CAN'T HELP IT
REST YOUR LOVE ON ME
He was the youngest beegee brother!!
Andy is the baby brother of the Bee Gees. You may recognize their voices singing back up. Barry Gibb co-wrote this song and produced for his brother Andy. Did you know the Bee Gees are brothers?? Here is the link to, "You Should Be Dancing" from the Bee Fees Spirits Having Flown tour. They performed this song with Andy, so ALL 4 brothers together. Such a full, rich sound. Andy was 12 years younger than Barry and wasw too young to be a Bee Gee. They were playing with idea of bringing Andy into the group, but sadly, /Andy passed away. Barry is the only brother left and at 74 he is STILL recording and performing.,
He passed very young. R.I.P
5:36 i so enjoyed watching you react to this one!!!!❤
He was young brother who passed away from drugs an alcoholism..he was on his own an his brother Barry helped him write all his hits an he has alot...he was ready to join his brothers in bee gees but passed away before that... Andy Gibb was so talented and good.. he's no one Hit wonder..he has many hits
Love Andy Gibb!!! Amazing voice!!!!
He could have been a bee gee but he wanted to do it on his own. He's a Gibb of course he has awesome voice. He was their younger. He dated Victoria Principal. He died young.
Try listening to the Gibb Collective - The children of the Gibb brothers (and niece Bari) singing their songs, as well as The Ghost Twins - Spencer Gibb and Samantha Gibb. The next generation of the family is incredibly talented as well!!!
And Peta, Andy's daughter
Barry once said Andy was the light behind all the UFOs!! Soar with the angels Andy, Mo and Robin!!!
I had a mad crush on him and his brother Barry (Gibb from the BeeGees). My room was covered in posters of them! I cried for a week when he died 😢. I still have this on a 45 (that’s the small vinyl records) lol
I still love Andy 💕
ONG I had the BIGGEST crush on him when I was younger!!!
The reason his voice is so good is obvious. That's his brother Barry Gibb backing up his mimi-me. He had at least 3 #1 songs and some other hits over varying success probably.
My favorite is "Thicker Than Water "
Oh we can't forget Anna.... Dancing Queen
Andy Gibb was the youngest brother of the Bee Gees. Sadly he passed away when he was quite young. Bee Gees did the back ground vocals for this song.
I just love watching your face. You look like you love what you do.
That's Barry Gibb (his big bro from the Bee Gees) that singing falsetto. He was on fire in the day. Song of the year, multiple #1 hit songs in a row, etc. Then tragedy...
Great singer! Also react to "Time is Time" and "Don't Throw it All Away, Our Love" oh and he sang with Olivia Newton John "Rest Your Love on Me"
Andy Gibb had quite a few hits. He was fantastic. Tragically he passed away at such an early age. He was the first of the Gibb brothers to pass away.
This song was wrote by, Barry, Robin and Maurice.
They wrote 3 songs in one day, Too much Heaven, Tragedy and Shadow Dancing for Andy Gibb.
They were very Talented writers...
Try I Just Wanna Be Your Everything, a great song. He died very young of an overdose RIP
I still sing I just want to be your everything. I know every word to that song, with also many of the Bee Gees songs
He didn't die of an overdose. He died from a heart infection. His heart was weakened bc of the drugs. He had cleaned himself up bf he passed
This was written by Andy & his brothers (BeeGees)........Andy had several great songs. All of the brothers Gibb had those voices. Andy was younger than the BeeGees , so he missed out on the group...but they were all close and supportive of one another. Barry is the only one remaining....Bless his heart.
I was lucky enough to see him with his brothers perform! # Just the best ever!👏👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶🎶❤
