WHO WE ARE:
We are Christina, Katherine, Lisa, Amy, and Lauren Cimorelli, 5 sisters originally from Northern California who are now based in Nashville, TN. We grew up singing in a big family of 11 children and our mom, a classical pianist, taught us to sing in harmony when we were kids. We got our start in musical theatre productions, doing classical pieces in the church choir and performing barbershop harmonies at nursing homes for the elderly (back then our grandma was our agent).
In 2009, when Christina was 18 years old and Lauren was 10 years old, we posted a cover of us singing Party In The USA that ended up going viral. From that video, we were discovered by a manager in London, and shortly after signed with Universal Music Group under Island Records. We moved to Los Angeles in 2010, where we lived and worked in the L.A. pop music world for 5 years, before getting extremely burnt out. We realized a major label deal wasn’t for us, left our label and moved to Nashville, TN, looking for a new start. In 2015, we officially became Nashville-based, independent artists.
Since then, we have written and released 5 albums of original music, toured all over the U.S., South America, and Europe, performed at festivals in Germany, Spain and the Philippines, wrote a book, Believe In You: Big Sister Stories and Advice on Living Your Best Life, started a podcast (The Cimorelli Podcast) and reached over 1 billion views on our RUclips channel. Currently, the 5 of us sisters are embarking on new journeys of marriage and starting our own families (Christina, Katherine and Lisa), and figuring out life as twenty-somethings (Lauren and Amy).
Our goal with our RUclips channel is to constantly challenge ourselves to grow creatively, and to make videos and music that is positive, uplifting and innovative. Our Christian faith guides our decisions, and we will always create content that is family friendly, while not being afraid to touch on topics that we believe are important, such as mental health and personal growth. That wasn’t funny - it just felt mean and undercuts the goal of being a positive community. So many of your listeners are likely struggling in a similar way to Amy and the constant bullying by the leader of the band is disappointing. On a positive note, I think Lisa also used to engage in bullying behavior of Amy and she seems to have really worked of herself. So many of your listeners struggle with self-esteem and a good portion probably don’t even know it yet. Your mission suggests that your behavior should be inspiring young girls to respect themselves not subject themselves to humiliating behavior from people they admire. Please do better or at the very least don’t put it on camera.

@@liwerni9 you're taking this way too seriously. It's a well-known fact that Amy panics in every single one of these types of videos where they all record things separately. Amy is the biggest proclaimer of this, especially when it's a new type of challenge that they've never done before, such as in this exact video. Amy even said herself in this video multiple times that she was really nervous, even putting a "panic meltdown" in her lyrics. Plus, they are sisters. Like, do you not have siblings? Siblings pick on each other and make jokes about each other all the time. The more comfortable I am with someone and get to know them better, the more likely I am to joke around with them and roast them. My sister is my best friend and we make fun of each other constantly and we both think it's hilarious. Like, there have been times we ended up rolling laughing in the floor together because of the insults we said to each other. Most of the time, it's really not that deep for someone to make a joke about their sibling. And what Christina said didn't even sound mean-spirited at all lol

I've always loved each cimorelli girl individually for different reasons but I do admit, when one girl is missing, the group always feel incomplete. Lauren brings so much to the group and with her new album and music videos coming out recently she's really been thriving. I agree with rhe girls she brings am intensity and there's a whole missing without her there 💔

In Australia, we have a Music Quiz TV show called Spicks and Specks (with celebrities as contestants) and for one of the segments, one of the celebrities from each team is given the name of a popular song BUT they have to read/sing word for word from a random BOOK in the tune of the song and their team has to guess the song. This had similar vibes! 💖

Can I just say that Amy's verses are very accurate and relatable and same with Kath's like she was thinking of food when she was recording and it sounds like something that I would do. The first verse/ chorus had a story plot:
There were two girls one was hungry, so she went to the kitchen. She saw a squirrel out the window. The other sister needed to iron her clothes. She got the iron out but quickly got distracted when she saw her sister chasing a squirrel into the forest where the big bad wolf lived. The other sister came in and started having a pannic meltdown because the iron was burning everything. AND thus, the chorus is them arguing over whose fault it was.

Omg this reminded me of a singing game I made when I was a kid that I used to play with my sisters. I think it would be so funny if you guys tried it?
So there are two bowls (the lyric bowl and the melody bowl) filled with song names, and each sister takes a turn choosing a paper from each bowl. Then we have to try to sing the lyrics from one song over the melody of the other.
Sometimes they actually sounded decent, and other times we just ended up in laughter. 😂
