Wow Paul, that place was amazing and your shots looked great, loved the post processing to pop the moss. Somewhere we'll have to go mate because I've got to visit that place sometime this year, great video 👍
Wonderful video Paul, so many photo opportunities and you captured them perfectly. I passed by there last year but never went to it, cursing myself now for not going. Thanks for sharing such a lovely video of one beautiful place 😁👍
Went to that place about 4 years ago after discovering a route on the 'WalkHighlands' site. You might also want to consider, 'The Birks of Aberfeldy' in Perthshire I think it is - a big wooded gorge, you can walk round it on an easy path, bit like Ingleton Falls but these falls are much bigger, there's a huge one in the middle with a footbridge over the top, it's very impressive, especially in Autumn.
Hi Paul wow what a place great video brilliant photos yet again could you mention on the wet gear you use as quite wet there at times and you looked dry and comfortable which is a big bonus when out and about happy new year to you and looking forward to what you brings us in 2024
i have to make a gear video of my stuff, it works ok but i am yet to stay DRY 100% its hard to find a perfect wet coat that works inside and out... and you can carry
@PaulComptonPDphotography hi Paul thanks for your reply look forward to your gear video I know what your saying very had to be completely happy with clothing keep your videos coming
Fabulous photos, Paul, but couldn't help feeling that the colours were a little too intense and vivid for my liking. That could be my new monitor though, I might not have it fully adjusted yet. So far I've only managed to visit one photo location that I've seen on RUclips, that was the bluebell wood in Whalley you recommended spring this year or last year. Just walking from Whalley town centre to the wood practically finished me off, then it started raining heavily so I called it a day. Must get fitter!
Right on my doorstep virtually. McInroy's Point, where you got the ferry to Dunoon, is about 5-10 mins drive from my front door, so this video was a lovely wee surprise, seeing so many familiar locations. A wee word of warning though, don't let the locals hear you talk about a roll and sausage, we call it a slice roll!! lol Great video as always.
A stunning location Paul with compositions around every turn. Thank you for taking us to these wonderful places throughout 2023; you've certainly clocked up a few miles on your travels. Well done mate and very best wishes for the New Year 📷👏👏
What a beautiful place to visit, excellent content, always look forward to your adventures, thank you for sharing your experiences. All the very best for 2024.
Yet another inspiring video Paul. I only live about 40 mins from where you caught the ferry across and did not know this place existed, so thanks for highlighting it, will defo visit sometime soon!
Hi Paul, very interesting place to visit and photograph. A big thank you for all your vlogs this year found them all very inspiring with a few places to tick off on my bucket list. Best wishes for the New Year.
Great photos, Paul. Love the colours you pulled out in postproduction… Thank you for your great content and especially the stories behind the places you visited. Happy new year to you and Denise.
Wow what a an amazing place Paul. Definitely got to be square sausage in a Scottish roll. You must have taken hundreds of image's. That place was out of this world to photograph. You captured some amazing image's. Definitely one for my bucket list. Look forward to the next one mate.
What a gem of a location, Paul. Well worth the visit for sure. My only comment on the processed images would be that the greens are consistently a little over-saturated to my eye, but maybe that was the style you wanted to achieve
I used to live on the Firth of Clyde, in fact I lived right beside one of the tourist tags on your Google map in a Victorian cottage above the beach. Ha, the good old days, snowed in and having to cut down a tree for firewood ... less romantic than it sounds. I have said before, why are you driving past so many good locations to go to Glencoe and take the guidebook shots? Argyle is a landscape photographers paradise. Its Central Scotland, not Southern Scotland, not Highlands either. Technically Puck's Glen is a 'Temperate Rainforest' as the humidity doesn't drop too low and the sunlight doesn't often get directly to the floor, which allows the moss to grow. You'd love the 'Rest and Be Thankful' pass, which is not far from where you were, the Arrochar Alps etc, etc. Its an 'egg and square doubler', no need to mention sausage, without the egg its just a 'roll and square'. It beats a McMuffin breakfast any day. It puts hair on your sporran 😁
i think i have been throught the Rest and Be Thankful pass on my motorbike years ago.. i am going to plan a visit in the area as i am looking for a place near Lochgilphead i have to pop to..
Love your enthusiasm for this place, Paul. It's been on my list to visit since I saw it on, I think, John McKenna's channel. It's an amazing glen with so many picture opportunities. Great pictures, too!
I found this place by accident while I was stating in Dunoon and was looking for places to go. And what a place. One of the most beautiful places I have seen so far. Also on the return to Dumbarton/Glasgow there is a place call The Devils Pulpit which is worth exploring but is more tricky to find and get down.
Thanks for watching, If you would like to join me on a walk or photography one to one please do contact and ask what i can do for you paulcomptonpdphotography.co.uk/contact

Definitely. I'm only a short drive away from Loch Lomond, Dumbarton Rock (ancient castle on a volcanic plug), etc, a photographer's delight.
