Linda and fellow peppers I just started using a dehydrator! Mine has low, medium or high settings not a specific temperature. I used high setting. It has 5 trays. I did purchase food grade tray liners. My first try I used one 12 oz. bag of frozen corn and a 2 pound bag of frozen mixed vegetables. That was about 9 cups of frozen vegetables and I got 3 cups of dehydrated vegetables. I think i could have added more but i wasn't sure how full I could fill the trays. I let my machine run for 8 hours. Today I used two of the 2 pound bags of vegetables and 1 bag of 12 ounce corn. Now I just need some recipes to use my veggie mixture!
You can throw them into any soup or stew or any casserole if you’re using hamburger just toss them in with a little bit of water as you fry up your burger so many things you can use them for just as if you would if they were fresh

Thank you for giving me more meal ideas. I love experimenting with different sauces or seasoning for dried pasta since I can get it cheap. I have liked teriyaki sauce with canned chicken and the cooked spaghetti noodles. I add rehydrated onions, and bell peppers. I have a variety of white sauces like parmesan or garlic or Alfredo then I add the cooked spaghetti noodles, canned chicken and dehydrated onions and peppers. I try to add variety to my meals. I have done a chili Mac using the canned beef, cooked spaghetti noodles, chili seasoning and canned beans. I have never thought about going taco with it.
Also those cheese packets are a great pantry item..and they frease well to..it's just me and my little so I use maybe half at a time..and freeze the rest for later

This looks delicious! I canned some ground beef with taco seasoning in it. Would be perfect. Maybe next time I can it I’ll add some jalapeños and onion to it.
The beautiful thing about this recipe is that you can use any canned meat you have or even pressure canned meat from your pantry. Have you tried the canned sweet red peppers yet? That would be awesome in this as well. Love these SHTF meals! This is a particularly a good one! TY mam!
@@personalemail2167 oh, sorry. It’s from Dollar Tree. I don’t know the brand but they only have one. It’s actually in a jar and it’s flavored with garlic. Delicious I also use it and marinades for chicken and for fajitas. Just delicious!

Yay! A recipe! I recently started using dehydrated onions. The dehydration process concentrates the onion flavor. A little goes a long way! 😉
