Manowar is the Kings of Metal. And I don't really dig that they are not good anymore. I think many people don't realize that Eric and Joey are getting close to 70s and to release the album like Lord of Steel in their 60s it's pretty badass in my book. You can't expect they will rock the same way as 30 years ago. Who can do shows and songs like them is their age? I love basically every album they released, of course some are better than some other album, but overall it's always a pleasure for me to listen to Manowar. I have whole discography in my phone and it can never get old Manowar was/is and most likely always will be my Kings of Metal "Power" or "Fight Until We Die" is a great fast song suggestion.
Just saw them last week and by god they were amazing. The music was as intense as ever, they have not sounded so good in ages. Eric Adams is a freak of nature with his vocal quality at 70
You can just imagine this song at a concert with all the crowd screaming the chorus back at the band. You should check out some of thier live stuff, their music works well with the big crowds. Cheers
Kings Of Metal is their sixth record, not their forth. My favorite album by them is the next one - The Triumph Of Steel (92) and Kings Of Metal is my second favorite. Check out any song from the Triumph Of Steel album: Spirit Horse Of The Cherokee, The Power Of Thy Sword, The Demon’s Whip, Ride The Dragon, Master Of The Wind, Achilles, Agony And Ecstasy…
His solos were amazing during this time but Manowar really put out some good stuff later. Warriors of the World is very solid. I do like Triumph of Steel a lot
I would Suggest Call to Arms for a driving metal song or House of Death if you want something really heavy. They have that, power ballads and everything in between.
Sing with us the BATTLE HYMNS, INTO GLORY RIDE, HAIL TO ENGLAND, THE SIGN OF THE HAMMER is our guide. Forever FIGHTING THE WORLD side by side. Those are Manowar's first 5 albums. Kings of Metal would make Six Magic Circles made by the Blood of the Kings
Not my kinda metal but at the same time I understand why people enjoy it if that makes any sense. It's like video game cut scene metal, gets the juices flowing before a battle. The extended wail was kinda crazy though, holy cannoli (I realize the expression "holy cannoli" is near the top of the list of least metal expressions ever)
Manowar is like travel back in time. It aint fancy pantsy way of life its feudal times and you either killed or be killed often enough. Cheers guys from Swedish metal fan. I wish i was born in 900AC. BTW this and sons of odin are among my fav manowar songs
For the record Kings of metal is manowars 6 th album and yes Ross the Boss is easily the best guitar player they've ever had I'm not pooping Carl or David Shankle but Ross was the guy who founded the band he did that guitar solo on the song battle him and well there it is
When I first heard this on CW Post radio's weekend metal show I thought they were singjng "kill and kill, kill , kill, kill and kill". I kind of liked it better that way but Hail and kill is ok as well....at least it's not rape and kill.
And I find it sad I have to agree with the previous commenter that man o' War are simply not living up to the previous standards which were pretty darn high if you think about it I mean go back and listen to the first six albums and even the seventh one Triumph of Steel is pretty underrated

They`re great live!

So spot on about Ross the Boss. He was the best, always melodic, always making sense musically. Not shredding for the sake of showing off!
Manowar is amazing music and a way of life! Hail and kill!

I like this song alot 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, they don't have half measures.
That's why I enjoy them so much.
Best depression treatment available.
King of metal is the sixth album by Manowar released on Nov. 18 , 1988. This is the last album with Ross The Boss. They invented power metal..
His solos were amazing during this time but Manowar really put out some good stuff later. Warriors of the World is very solid. I do like Triumph of Steel a lot

Awesome! I'll add those to my playlist. 🤘 - Dustin

Manowar has a lot of great songs but Haill and kill and Power are the ones that turn me on the most.
Funny how I actually thinks this is the FIRST album of their peak period ('88/'02)
I am a little late to your party. Kings Of Metal is Manowar's sixth release.
Best Manowar Song 💪💪
lo maximo manowar

Can’t wait to hear Michael Angelo Batio on tour with Manowar as lead guitarist. It’s going to kill…
