I remember listening to their hit songs on fuse and mtv2 back in the day. My brother ended up buying the record and took me to see them in 2005 at the Northern Lights Clifton Park which is in upstate NY. Good times!

That is one of the things I love about Relient K--as a Christian, I can rock out and feel uplifted without feeling stifled by the generic (ahem, boring) lyrics characteristic of Christian music nowadays. Welcome to this corner of RUclips!

Well, Matt's been pursuing a solo career under the moniker Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes, and I support him, personally, if he prefers to just work on calmer, more folk-like stuff alone as opposed to songwriting for a rock band. I do miss the old RK sound, of course, but I'm happy Matt is still producing music in a style that he enjoys to use a bit more than rock (sorry to reply after so many months, but I just wanted to answer the question about what the band's been up to and give my opinion on Matt's most recent aspirations.
