These are not “prepared for anything” parents at all. They are actually quite astoundingly clueless. None of these people are dressed for cold water immersion, which requires dry-suits or thick neoprene. The water is probably in the low 30s. If one of these rubber bathtubs or all of them went over, the little ones and adults would probably suffer cold shock with insurmountable gasping filling their lungs with ice water if their heads were submerged. They at least had PFDs and would not immediately sink to the bottom immediately. They would have very limited time to organize themselves and their unconscious kids to get back into their rafts, which they likely never practiced before. No, these have no effect on it, at all. There are much bigger forces at play, that determine when it happens.
