He was right about everything with Y6 in itself making Kuze seem less an antagonist in hindsight but more as the final stand against the inevitable downfall of the Yakuza. Kuze did everything to prevent and resist the cesspool thats about the hit the underworld that arrived just like he said and peaked in 6.
And he hates/fears Kiryu as the avatar of their destruction, before understanding that the Yakuza brought this on themselves with their hubris. And ultimately accepts Kiryu as an avenging angel for the old ways, because Kiryu wanted to join the romantic ideal Yakuza which no longer exists, in the same way he did. Kuze could have been Komeki the trainer if 0 came first.
Did Okayu not have any funny reactions to the fight going up the Dojima HQ where that one nutjob just kept showing up after you beat him like three times?
absolute s tier antagonist
He only gets better as the series and time progresses cause everything he says and predicted ended up true.
Agreed, he’s one of only two people in the entire series I’d consider an S tier antagonist. (The other being Shishido)
@@Arkenstone435 I'd put Kuwana up there
20th anniversary next year... Let's hope for Like A Dragon 0-2, set in the early 90s, Kuze comes out of jail...
When i saw this cutscene without context i truly believed it was the final boss.
whats crazy is that somehow the final boss is even more dramatic lmao. kuze do be a goated character though.
This is the man who said "Took ya long enough, idiot" when he finally was cast as a Yakuza character.
Enemies become friends
Friends become enemies
And Kuze will not stop chasing me
Best fight intro in the game. The music's buildup is intense.
you know she's touched when she doesn't point out how the suit cleaned itself
Man
I
Love
Kuze
Ah yes, I'm MILK.
Thank you for clipping and adding subtitles!
I love Kuze, man. And as tthe games go by you notice that he was kinda right when it comes to Kiryu.

Kuze could have been Komeki the trainer if 0 came first.
one of the coldest mfs in yakuza
Scores every point in tenacity
Thank you for the translations! Yakuza 0 is my favorite game and Okayu seems to be really enjoying it!
Ending jump scare
It was this moment right here that sold me on the Yakuza franchise.
Gokudo like Kuze are cool af.
thank you for translating! i didn't even know she was playing y0, so this is a doubly blessed way to find out.

good intro but not the best game.
