I would attach all the pieces together to check on how much threading is used and how much is exposed. I would mark it in black or whichever color you are using, then take apart the pieces and put painters tape on the threads that go into the hardware. This way the threads aren’t tacky when you need them to go in smoothly.

What do you think is the weight capacity? I'm concerned more about the left facing pipe since if it's heavy enough it might loosen the elbow

I hanged light weight curtain and it’s fine didn’t not loosen the elbows.

What size screws did you use to fasten the flanges to the wall? Just did the same set up with inch and a half screws in all 8 screw holes but unsure it will hold.

I did the same set up with 1 and a half inch screws in the fringes but unsure if they will hold up.

i used a copper pipe because it's a lot lighter. If you're going to be using heavy pipes for a drapery rod, I would suggest in my non-professional opinion
Using wall anchors. If people hang TVs with multiple wall anchors, you should be OK and just check the weight rating for the wall anchors
