Ive watched all your vids. I’m in the process of purchasing a truck and leasing onto a company hauling Fracsand in Alberta Canada. Please keep up the great videos. Appreciate all your insight and knowledge
I worked as an EMT on a ambulance in Taft California back in the early 80's They had "kids" driving "NEW" Kenworths ( 20+ yrs old). They did not have the experience driving these trucks and ended up crashing quite a few of them. That seemed to be the mindset on these companies on who they hired. How they passes the CDL is beyond me. There were mostly "good conscientious drivers that were hard working and productive. At that time there were a "slew" of jobs you could get in the oilfields. Even good company jobs as well
Hey Robert, thanks for all the great content. i see you worked at mesquite haul waste water.. I have a tractor and a saltwater trailer and i was wondering if you had a idea on to which company is hiring O/O' s with good pay!!! Thank you for any information you can pass on..
@@HaileZe there’s no equipment that’s doesn’t take a beating! The up side is the pay is good I was 6 to 9 a mile so you just have to spend money on maintenance. The other big expensive is the companies charge a lot for cargo insurance. They have to carry a lot of insurance for oil field work. I was leased to Trophy trucking in Odessa Tx you can google them and call they will give details you need your own truck and trailer flat or step or winch truck they also run hot shot with mini float.
I'm in Midland, TX working for Properto Services and it effing sucks! I don't drive as much as I want to plus having to rig up and down as a Cement Equipment Operator is not for me. My Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are pretty much worthless because every employer is looking for someone with 2 years experience. I have 3 months plus lease road experience; I'm a U.S. Veteran and still can't get into Hazmat. I'd like to haul Fuel or Crude oil, but the companies blame their insurance smh. Yo Loco can you give me some pointers? And definitely keep it between the ditches! LOL
I’m interested in getting in this field currently I am doing 3 to 4 weeks out at a time with two days home time currently in NC how do I go about looking into that I have four months experience CDL driver hazmat tankers
I have a job offer in midland tx to lease my international LT 2019 on but I’m debating if I should take it being you say the roads are really bad and beat your truck down idk if it’s worth it or not, maybe just park my truck and ride company
Park your truck and ride company until you see if it's for you. The roads are bad but there are mandatory speed limits on those roads (aka lease roads) that require drivers to go slow. Good luck!
Hey Robert, love your content and information you provide. I’m moving to Pecos, TX this month & would love to connect with you. Definitely wanting to start sand hauling as soon as I get in the area. If you have an email address you could share that would be awesome. Thanks!
Good video, thank you
To make a million dollars in the trucking business you start with 2 million

Hey how about some tips on looking for company job as in I'm not an owner op I've been looking have not had much luck thanks
Absolutely, will be doing a video about that sometime soon.
I had my truck and step deck for 6 months good money but the lease roads are HARD on your equipment!!!!!
What kind of equipment would you say is good for that environment? May be older? Are you leased under a company? If so, How is the split? Thanks.

Hopefully the pay makes up for the ware and tare on the truck for maintenance
Hi thanks for the video could you give Me point me the right direction in to start in the oil field.
Those roads are so bad in west and south Texas. Have you ever worked ND? I think they pay the best.
Yea but the winters suck!
Yeah they are even worse in New Mexico. I have never worked in North Dakota, are you currently out there now?
@@WeroLocoTrucking no. I've never worked in ND, but it looks liike they pay the past from what I see online.
People underestimate how bad these roads are. I know I did.

That’s what I was going to ask, if it sucks how much are you making?
So you are now back in the oil field as and owner op

Hi! Are you Canadian or US oilfielder?
Would you discourage bringing a automatic truck in the oil field , from your experiences of course. Anyways love your vids very informative!!
Not at all, doesn’t really matter.
When trump gets in as an O/O where’s this oil market going to open up? ie: City or town.
Bottom line anywhere, who you gonna run for. Anyone can buy a truck
