So do I. His musical education and natural talent for creativity and composition was so missed after _Songs of Faith and Devotion._ We'll never know what might have been. But Depeche Mode's _Memento Mori_ is the best since _Playing the Angel._
I do it too. Go back and listen to some of the live 86 recordings of question of lust live and maybe have a cry while you’re at it. Simply sexy perfection.
It only took the longest list of producers in the history of DM to pull it off, and Martin writing nothing by himself. 😂 Seriously says so much about them post Alan. I can only imagine how much better everything would have sounded. Even MM. I will give them this, MM is the first album post Alan that I’ve liked 9 tracks from. I haven’t liked 9 songs in the entire post Alan catalog. You can still hear where his vocals should be and that’s a problem, but I’m actually pleasantly surprised by MM. It’s never going to be a Black Celebration or Violator…
If that's the regular album version of "Enjoy the Silence", I had no idea that Alan sang the lower octave (along with Dave) on "here, in my arms..."... that's him for sure, it's crazy. He blends so well with Martin and Dave he should have been up just a touch more in the mix, imo
Wait, some of these I legit thought was either Dave or Martin... how does his voice blend so well with them both? ...it's almost as if he was meant to be there......
I’ve been looking for someone to isolate his vocals forever. He really has a beautiful voice. I wish he had more confidence in his writing because his songs were amazing. Better than 99 percent of what David has written.
Thank you so much for the hard work you put into this audio. It's sublime! I've always been in love with Alan's voice but his singing really is to die for... The Sweetest Perfection!
And he had! But didn't want to be a pop singer, his interests were different! 1st 3 albums my fav, UM too, but then things get worst.. Liquid is very good in instrumental version!
8:26 that's definitely Martin in "Sweetest Perfection". btw, I think Alan's vocals are present in "People are People" choruses as well as in "help me understand" part
@@ilyaertushov6213there is no goat vibrato in here, bro! In lead vocals Mart sings with it, yes, but in backing - Al without any, listen to it carefully! It looks like he did in EtS, right here, next example.

Very nice. Are you sure in sweetest perfection is not Martin’s voice? I wish you could extract his backing vocals on 101 and song of faith and devotion live
Actually listening to that refrain many times, I can hear some hesitation at the end of the phrases ( sweetly, deeply, completely). Martin's sings more in tune and his virbrato is different,. i think it's Alan. @@e.g.348

Pretty sure the surround left of sweetest perfection is Gore. However I'm curious, where did you find Wilder's voice in the things you said live, policy of truth and enjoy the silence ?
On The Sweetest Perfection, Dave sings the backing on one side and Alan Wilder sings the backing on the other side for definite. In the case of policy of truth from the Devotional 5.1 mix, things you said from the 101 5.1 mix, enjoy the silence backing vocal is from the multi
Alan's voice is so sensual and beautiful. When I watch live DM performances I always try to "fish out" his vocals

Alan Wilder is missing in Depeche Mode. Master of the sound of DM.
this is a hidden treasure omg

It's the multitrack sample of EtS.
It's well known Dave sung backing vocals on SP, but Alan's voice was so surprisng!
I had no idea he sang on Sweetest Perfection and Policy of Truth😮 those are my 2 favorites!
Alan has such a beautiful & soft voice...
Alan, can you please come back ? ♥️👏
А Дэйв с Мартином хотят его возвращения?
In Sweetest Perfection? WOW! I didn't know until today after all those DM years!
His vocal range is outstanding? He should’ve sang more. His voice fits so perfectly around both Dave and Martins.
Wow!! Just when I thought I couldn't miss him more
He's a legend
@@RetroMuseumTV Which programme did you use to isolate his vocals?
@@mikoajnowak1627 it comes from the seperate 5.1 audio channels
@@RetroMuseumTV Okay 👍 Thank you for answering
Alan’s and Martin’s singing voices sound very similar.
Came from one channel in a 5.1 recording, so there's likely some overlap.
Just recently watched DM 101 and I miss Alan so much 😢❤
Wow, Alan’s voice is so soft and sweet! 😍🤍 Thanks a lot for sharing this nice compilation ✨
This was so comforting❤
OMG, I have gone to heaven!!....been dreaming of hearing this for 36 years!! I should have looked for it sooner....Thanks a billion!!! 🌹

Alanhas amazing talent and a very beautiful voice sift6 and velvet. 😊❤❤

Wow, thanks for putting together this compilation of Alan's singing. I've always loved his vocal harmonies with Martin and Dave!
Sweetest perfection is what he absolutely enriched doing a duo with Martin
correct!!

Wilder should have to start parallel solo career in deep 80s already.
