Vince Clark is the Elvis Presley of synth pop new wave music ,,,He has the voice the looks the creative talent ,, he is the best the first ...King of Synth Pop ,,,Vince Clark.
THANKS a LOT for this. About those times, I was in my early teens, living behind the Iron Curtain, and this music was for me like from another planet, I LOVED it! It was so much MORE than, that now, in the globalized world…
Very cool. The Television set has a kind of Kraftwerk influence, but I highly praise Clarke for his great talent. He is one of my greatest synth heros.
Vince also did the Rapture rap during the _The Erasure Show_ tour in 2005, mixing it with his Family Fantastic one from "Doin' This Thing". The first few nights he performed live, but as the tour moved on he covertly switched to pre-recorded because of illness, being mortified of the experience (he stated so on an interview), or both 🤭
He has such a cool voice and a strong accent, What's Your Name? and Ice Machine is missing here, and it's there a way to separate (on the Speak & Spell tracks) the backing vocals from each other for another video? Because there's always like 2 voices together
Cheers for the comment! You're right, it sounds like Martin is singing the high bits in What's Your Name but it's hard to tell without having the multitrack to separate them for a clear listen, could be Vince singing along with him as well. And Ice Machine sounds like Vince is more prominent in the response vocals, but yea again sounds like a duel vocal with Martin.
vince is the king of synth, he was born with a moog in his hand.
Vince is a living legend

Just can’t get enough is the perfect pop song. Especially at the Pasadena Rosebowl. 🎶🕶️
So good hearing the vocals/harmonies isolated on this video

Well done Retro. I can't believe DM turned down Only You but the Yaz version is great.

Just adding: Family Fantastic - "Nice!" (2000), Vince's rap on "Doin' This Thing"

Yes, but thats speaking/rapping, not singing ;)...
Good job compiling the vocals...I think you missed "Situation" though (I believe it's Vince singing "Move Out" throughout the song).
You're right. I also forgot the bit on Sweet Thing too
Fab upload. Thanks

I would have liked them to record these songs properly and release them as rarities .
Isn't Vince doing the melodic singing on the bridge of "I Sometimes Wish I Was Dead"
Wow! Is there a complete Photographic entry somewhere? I liked it even more than the original from the album
That's the longest version out there as far as I know
is that baby dave? ❤️❤️❤️❤️

DID V.C. EVER DO ANY PEEL SESSIONS ? ? ?🤔
how did you get the backing voices out of speak and spell
It's from the seperated channels of the 5.1 mixes
@@RetroMuseumTVwhere did you find those mixes?
