I've had other BPM baits ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
This is the way the original fishing spoon was originally made and that is why they are called spoons. Visualize a spoon then cut the spoon off the handle and throw the spoon end away. Then cut the handle off about 1.5 inches from the bent end where the spoon was attached. Then round off the four corners and drill a 1/8" hole at each end. Then put a small split ring through the bent end and attach a small treble hook to the split ring. Then attach a swivel to the other end to tie your fishing line too. It is has the best action of any spoon ever invented. There is a company in Pennsylvania that manufactures them and call them the "THOMAS EEL".
I'd say this one started being a spoon, but then when it got filled in with resin and wood, etc, and became a body, it turned into a lure. All that the original metal shape is then doing, is adding weight and a hard side.
In fact a young lady that worked with me wanted me to make earrings out of the smallest Buoyant lures and she sold about a dozed of them in one day. So I ordered a thousand of them and my wife and I took off the hooks and put pierced earring hooks on them and sold all of them to a large department store and they sold very well.
Hello! It's a simple mold which anyone can make at home. The gray material is called chemical metal. We'll show how to make one in the next video which shouldn't take to long to come out.
Great craftmanship! One thing a don't understand are why you use aluminium sheet as a base but then basecolor the lures in white? Why dont just dip it raw, smooth it out and then paint? Anyway you made some nice spoons!
An eye dot has been added to the rear of a lure for eons. Many fish want to eat their prey head-first, and with alot of lures, they will side-strike, which can lead to foul-hooking them. Trout can be especially bad for that. A rear-placed eye gives them a target, which is near the hook.
Thank you. Any type of metal sheet works, because the metal string is connected using the holes. You can buy 0,8 mm copper from ebay. The wood is balsa, but you can also use cork wood.
man those look amazing id sell my soul for a 10 or 12gram version of that in 60mm if your ever taking orders man please gimme a shout that thing just looks made for sea-trout in strangford lough
Two methods: 1. In very low water, slowly winding, so that the spoon stays on the surface. 2. In deep water, letting the spoon slowly sink (like a half dead fish), then wind it up and let it sink back down again.

Why is the hook infront of the eyes? :)
Where can I get some of that copper

He used it over the mesh to give a scale texture.
@@zzz7zzz9 Aha! Tanks..I must have sleept during that moment. If you want real and not only imaginary scales thats a good way to do it.
lo mejor de poder hacer señuelos baratos uno mismo es que dan mas cacturas que los señuelos que uno compra caro. gracias.
aaaah!! that scratching with the caliper xD
I love the background music
Waw..amazing..how to buy sir..😁😁
why do you have the eyes on the hook side of the lure?
You can choose the side you add eye/eyes to, if you do.
It really doesn't matter. Mostly for the looks.
An eye dot has been added to the rear of a lure for eons. Many fish want to eat their prey head-first, and with alot of lures, they will side-strike, which can lead to foul-hooking them. Trout can be especially bad for that. A rear-placed eye gives them a target, which is near the hook.
What kind of wood is that

Awesome lures. Where did you find the copper sheet and was that balsa for the underside?
Thank you.

So you teased a mold video over a year ago. I can't find one. What's up with that?
this is pretty great! have you caught anything with them?
what type of varnish u used? wood varnish works?
Hello.
It's nitrocellulose lacquer, but it's also possible to use glossy water-dilutable varnish (which will dry a lot longer).
Any particular reason you use copper?
Hello. Other metals work too.
Copper is just easier to mold since it's quite soft.

You are right looks amazing for Baltic trout
@@halsingefiske7989 are you in quarintine i am its no good when your a sea-trout hunter
Wow
It Doesn't matter how fancy Fishing lures may look. The bottom line is do they work at catching fish! Then you got a great lure.
Why would he make lures if they don't work? Looks like the creator is a Finnish person and these people definitely know how to fish.
what kind of polish were you dipping those in?
Hello.
It's nitrocellulose lacquer, but it's also possible to use glossy water-dilutable varnish (which will dry a lot longer).
How would I fish this style of spoon jig it slow reel ?
Two methods:
1. In very low water, slowly winding, so that the spoon stays on the surface.
2. In deep water, letting the spoon slowly sink (like a half dead fish), then wind it up and let it sink back down again.
What kind of paint are you using
Hello. These are old car paints. Not water-delutable, but those work too.
👍👍🙏
it looks like a Tide lure
Would like to see it in action, lot of work for a show piece. Great workmanship though.
Lol not a show piece. Looks like it was made for use. I honestly think fish like it
Salam kenal bosku 🤝🤝
using reflective lure tape would be another approach
Copper that's soft material. A fish would
Wath the resin to use?
It doesn't really matter, we used a resin that hardens a little faster.
Even hot glue works, but then you have to be fast.
HM boss?
Can't hack the music. Bye
There is a mute button for those of you who listen to justin bieber.
no one has all that shit you use to make it tho .lol
it's not a DIY video. it's a making of...
This was made in school. But you could make them with different tools if you are creative
