Thank you for another great one, Andy! 👍
Great..great as usual as always..
Infact i hadn't tried once open ear but after watching your review, i simply want to try them..
Thank you for the beneficial comparison.
Glad you found it helpful, thanks for watching
I have the Pro's, the OWS2 and the Shokz Openfit. Just like in your video, I find the mic on the Pro's the worst of the 3, and the Shokz the best. In my opinion this is very apparent in your video too. The sound quality is comparable on all 3, maybe just a few % between them. To me the Shokz sound the best.
And after wearing the OWS Pro's for a few hours, my ears are soothed by the lightness of the Shokz. Their significantly less weight and 'flimsy' design mean they do not put so much pressure on any part of the ears. The fact that the OWS Pro's are not flexible on that first curve causes my ears to hurt after wearing them a while.
And as you say, your mileage may vary. Not much to choose between them for sound quality, but for me, the mic, and much more so, the MUCH more comfortable Shokz make them my go-to ear phones.
Thank you for the review :)
Bingo
@@BillyNewport-ez2vn you are absolutely right about the weight and flexibility difference between the Pro and the OpenFit and I see how that can be a huge benefit indeed. But my ears seem to be perfectly compatible with OWS designs
Excellent review Andy as usual! Keep up the great work. I have the OWS1 and just got the Arc II's and I agree with you completely. The Cleer buds are not as comfortable but the sound quality and feature set are very compelling.
Thanks 😊
The JBL soundgear sense is pretty good get that next
Thanks Andy - agree with most of what you say here. The OWS Pro is indeed a beautiful product - I pre-ordered it on day of release but sadly it proved to be flawed and I had to return them for a refund. My unit had an annoying buzzing/hissing/ticking sound every time an audio stream was active. It really was quite irritating. I contacted support and was told this was normal. This, combined with a flaky battery life on the left bud, and a poor experience with support meant I had to return them. On your previous recommendation of the Shokz OpenFit being better for low residual noise, I purchased them instead and am much happier - no hiss whatsoever. Perhaps I will revisit the OWS in the future once they have the bugs ironed out (have heard from others online who had a similar experience).
There is hiss indeed so I see what you mean. Its only noticeable in perfectly quiet conditions in my case though and it doesn’t impact sound quality on my experience.
hi how is the overall performance compared with the aerofit pro ?
I just got the ows1 and have to say my shokz openfit sound better with calls , audiobooks , music and even gps navigation .
The ows1 sound good enough . I will be testing the claimed 16 hour per charge which is the main reason i bought the ows1 .
Thanks for thorough review, Andy! Got a question, if you don't mind. Is body (where dynamic sits) of OWS Pro longer than that of OpenRock Pro? I've tried the latter ones and they gave me a real hurt by touching the back side of my ear. Thanks in advance.
I guess im one of the few people who don't want a bright neon color (or bright white) on my ear buds.
Id like them to NOT stand out. At least Cleers are somewhat chill on the color.
Thanks for the review.
these come in black too
best youtuber ever please tell me which has better sound quality and clarity and more accurate sound jabra elite 7 pro or sennheiser momentum 3 thank you
The Elite 7 might have a more sparkly and detailed treble but the MTW3 is more balanced and accurate across the whole range
I got the open Shokz for 82 usd because I have credit points at my local electronics store. They only carry open Shokz . It’s a shame that Oladance didn’t have their product at the store to try out.
I really like the open Shokz and I use it purely for mountain biking and road cycling . Amazon does sell oladance but I don’t want to deal with the hassle of returning it. But I agree that if I crank up the volume, I get distorted base on the open shokz.
Shokz products are available in most stores as the brand has been popular for many years. Oladance is a relatively new (and smaller) player on the market so we cannot really expect such a strong presence on the shelves
I have the OWS Pro and find they sound better than the Shokz especially in the bass, louder volume, plus amazing battery life. They very comfortable. The controls are also better than Shokz with volume control. Although I am curious if the OWS 2 is better sound has as a bigger speaker. They all good, I gave the Shokz to our daughter. The zen mode does work you can tell by the sound of your voice is odd when you talk feels muffled.
I have both ows 2 and ows pro. Ows 2 sounds better and feels more comfortable. Idk ows pro doesn't sound good compared to ows2
Finally got my hands on both OWS Pro and OWS 2.
First of all, I've noticed a mistake in the review: according to Oladance site both models deliver Bass 2.0, so there's no improvement on OWS Pro side. I didn't notice any significant difference either (listened first, surprised as I was sure Pros should take an advance, checked the site). But what slammed me right in the face is total lack of sub-bass (true for both models). It's literally non-existent on tracks like Reso "Nut Damage" or Benny L "Vanta Black", where the latter loses A LOT in track texture and body. Sure, that's more or less true for all open-ear buds, but I recall OpenRock Pro was performing somewhat better. Nevertheless, take a note EDM listeners.
Now, answering my own question under this video: OWS Pro is more comfy than OpenRock Pro, but I still have some light pain wearing them. OWS 2 is clearly my choice here!
what can you say about the comparison with Oneodio openrock?
I like Oladance and have the previous version as well as recently buying the OWS Pro. The sound from the OWS Pro is great, but think twice if you have smaller ears (like me), as they fall off when running. The OWS Pro is lighter than the earlier versions, so unless you have a snug fit, they will work loose. I did not have this issue with the earlier, heavier versions, as the ear hook was longer, allowing them to remain in place.
Probably the OWS Sports is going to sort the fit issue for you then
@@AndysTechTone I was going to say the same!
I’m hoping the Sports model is comparable to all these you compared in the Pro video, since I haven’t seen anyone directly mention the Sports/Pro in the same comparison.
I’m leaning toward the Sports for extended-use comfort
I purchased the pro about 2 weeks ago and they gave me a rash on the top and backs of my ears. I think it’s an area thing. They have a thicker bend and more of it was touching my skin. I don’t have the problem with the openfit. But, I miss the buttons. Also, I had trouble with the loudness and it turned out to be the iPhone hearing protection which if on is too low for these style buds.
Sad to hear about your struggles with the Pro. The only benefit of the OpenFit I see is indeed the size of the buds and the ear hooks which seem to work better for some people. I could wear the Pro for days with no issues I reckon
@@AndysTechTone Pros of OpenFit, cost, comfort and mic. Cons, battery life and touch rather than button.
Which sounds better in medium to low volume levels: open fit or cleer arc 2? I prefer more bass (as long as it is good quality bass) over anything else. And which is more comfortable over long workouts?
The OpenFit has a warmer sound with a punchy bass at low volume and I also found it more comfortable over long workouts.
thank you for your reviews please tell me whivh one has better sound quality and clarity JBL Endurance Peak 3 or oneplus earbuds pro 2
I've never used the Oneplus so don't know
Please I am looking for very loud and crystal clear sound earbuds .. with special audio or Dolby Atoms or 3D surround sound or all
What do you suggest under 100$~ if can
I like the OWS 2s better than the pros, I also prefer the sanag Z65s pros overs the OWS pros, my ears are small and the pros do not stay put at all like the others, even the tozo open buds are a better fit to me, and there is more volume on the others also, soundpeats run free are also a better option especially when considering the price discrepancy in the models.
I’m going to test some more affordable options soon and I can’t wait to see how they stack up to these premium offerings
Who sound better of all that you mentionet ?
@@alur9160 the soundpeats run free and the oladance OWS 2s sound better I think by just a bit, but the sanag are far behind at all.
@@doublewhopper67 yep but there is the option to buy one separately
Now there is openrock S get going with reviews haha
How are they for hearing traffic when cycling??
They do not block your ear canals, so you will hear traffic just fine
Will you compare the 1more s50 open ear
I probably will, yes
Can you review the 'nwm MBE001' open earbuds?
Not sure I'm familiar with those
best mic earrbuds under 100$.. please suggest..
Soundcore Liberty 4NC or Earfun Air Pro 3 maybe. Going to do a comparison with some of the best earbuds under $100, so stay tuned
Wow i love it but it's pricey i'll buy it if i won the lotto😅
They are not cheap for sure…
OWS2 has 16mm driver - OWS pro has 23 mm so not the same.
You're absolutely right! I don't remember exactly why but when the video was made I thought the two were the same
