@Kiza_ like typically when he's on all fours and you use smoke bomb to get the TCS off on he's head. I've only come back to iceborne this past week in like a year and used to us ls against fatty now that I met some mates we use gs and I have trouble mainly with 3 things in our casual runs 1. The smokebomb TCS I mentioned 2. Knowing where to stand during all he's transitions for the TCS to the head when he lands (I just follow my friend's lead) And 3. The hardest for me, doing a TCS on fattys head when he does his standing flamethrower. That needs to be so precise but it's so satisfying XD
@@KuronDarkly for all fours smoke tcs, I usually perform the same motion every time. If I am in position during the smoke animation, I will pay attention to which way fatty’s head turns first, so if fatty’s head turns to the right first, I will stand slightly in front of fatty’s left arm, charge cs to lvl 3 and hit head as it turns to his left, then I slinger burst to that same direction (fatty’s left) and charge tcs to lvl 3 while turning to my right, if positioned properly, you should be able to reach fatty’s head with the full tcs. If you want a visual example, in my 5’38 duo GS video, me and aji do this same exact tcs at the end of our phase 1. Also, if I am not in the right position and I have to run to the right spot, I will change the lvl 3 cs to whatever lvl I reach when I do get into position. For example, if I am very late to position, I’ll just go for lvl 1 unsheath cs, and continue to do lvl 3 tcs if I have enough time. It really depends on how late you are to the position you need to be at. For the other two things, I would really suggest watching TA wiki Fatalis GS runs to learn what to do against his attacks. Most of the time, when fatty is standing, you’d want to bait cone by standing a little away from him. When he starts to do cone, you can roll toward his head, unsheath cs, slinger burst facing his head and charge tcs (if you are late, lvl 2 or even only lvl 1 tcs). If he does the zigzag flame breath like you mentioned, it is very sensitive with timing and position, it’s easier to hit if you are near the center of fatty’s chest but more on the left and then you aim slightly to fatty’s right (only a little bit). The time you release tcs is the same exact time fatty’s RIGHT hand will touch the floor. (This timing only applies to enraged fatty in phase 1 and 2. You can skip to TCS (true charged slash) by cancelling your SCS (strong charged slash) with tackle or if you have any slinger ammo, you can slinger burst after CS (charged slash) to go straight into charging TCS. There are also attacks where you can slinger burst afterward and start charging TCS (like around 1:12, we roll > tackle > slap > slinger burst > tcs) but you're free to experiment with that! Hope that helped :)
Hmm, I think we spent about 3 days on this run until we got it. :) We were figuring out a lot of small things to do in the run that would help with damage for one day as well!

His hp is locked to 1 until he does his big roar at the start of phase 3, which you can then finish him off after. ^^
