Hi, I have just gotten back into collecting and using knives. I really have an eye on the Twosun one piece titanium handle knives. I am reaching out to you for you suggestions on some ideas on something that is still in production that I could get my hands on and not be afraid of using. I like this Kubey knife you are reviewing but I am more of a cleaver or wharncliff style blade.
The integral twosun knives are still available I believe but are expensive and I personallywouldn'trecommendthem for an everyday user, if your into clever blades I Def recommend the Kizer sheepdog non flipper, they make a flipper version in titanium and it's a great everyday user, I do recommend the twosun ts223 and 301 for everyday users but they are not clever blades
I live in NYC. AMAZON won't ship folding knives to me. Funny thing though...they will ship a 9" tactical knife to me. Hmm. The finger chole on the Veloce is too big and takes up too much real-estate for me. I do a pinch grip when I choke up on a blade. Nice video
@@JIZQU OH I absolutely buy knives from those sources that you've mentioned and more. I just find it ironic that Amazon won't ship folding knives to New Yorkers...but you can buy damn near a sword with no problem.
Jared, I need your expert opinion. I have two framelocks from the same maker and the same model; the differences are as follows: 0ne has a stiffer/stronger lockbar lockup than the other, however, area-wise it has a smidge less contact with the blade tang than the other knife. Neither knife has big contact area between the lockbar and blade tang. Also the knife with the stiffer lockbar, seems to have a smidge tighter detent. In your expert view which would be your preference in terms of safety and operation. The opening actions are similar, but, unsurprisingly the knife with stiffer lockbar takes a bit more of a push on the flipper tab, but not much. Thank you Jared.
I'd just check them both for lockup issues as long as your finger are out of the way, usually the one with the stiffer detent will be safer because the lockbar is probably slightly stronger, but it's more about lock face geometry then the strength of the lock bar, both will settle in eventually the more you use them the faster the lockbar will break in
Get your finger off the lock bar you are locking the detent closed with you middle finger and pointer finger, remove your middle finger and only use your pointer finger over the top of the pivot when thumb deploying
@@NeevesKnives very tricky to accomplish with meaty fingers, but out if the 10 attempts I just gave it I was able to get 2 deployments, thanks for the tip!

I love that kubey can make a knife in just about any category and nail it.
I’ve had one for about 6 months, and I love it! Carrying it this morning, as a matter of fact. Lol
This is one of my few knifes will just keep in safe to look at sometimes.

just buy your knives on FB forums Im In jersey no issues here, and there are sites that dont care and will send you knives . try White mountain knives
When I choke up I think of push cuts, like thick cardboard or feather sticking

I've had this knife for a few months now and I must be doing something wrong because I cannot for the life of me thumb flick mine open 😅
