I am French and I am so happy for our Italian cousins. Italy has always been underestimated but they have this fighting spirit in their veins. I can’t wait to see rugby evolve even more in this country.
Merci mon frere!
In other sports I'd just wanna compete with the French no matter what, but in rugby we need each other's support to make sure the Latins beat the anglos
@@iamnutty8471 they're not Latin though
@@iamnutty8471 the Georgians are a welcomed exception
@@Bolognabeef most of France isn't Latin. Wales, Scotland and Ireland aren't Anglo. Breton is Celt for example. Most England players are Hoorays and are of Norman descent. Normandy is in France. Most of north Italy was originally Celt. Cultural appropriation mate.
Mai nella mia vita avrei creduto di vedere qualcosa del genere: PAZZESCO.. Grazie ai raggazzi, al team, alla federazione e a tutto il movimento! ❤ ITALIA❤
Una vittoria storica
What an epic forward battle! Well done, Italy.👏
SH needs an annual u20 tournament. The u20 6 nations seems to be giving the north an edge
Correct
SH, NH, SH , NH 🤮🤮🤮 guarantee you will see these words every time you watch a rugby highlight or game 😂😂😂
@@alphabarre9096 absolutely we need more competition - an u20 annual tournament of The Rugby Championship would be brilliant
@@headintheclouds6935not sure about S.A/AUS, but i can't see where NZ would find the money to make this a reality, since they spend the large majority of it maintaining and keeping all blacks from leaving.
this is the price, NZRFU sacrificed the future for the present and now
@@kelsyn21 when rugby went pro i knew eventually the countries with more people and money would get the edge, for a country of 5 million NZ do really well in international sport
Well done Italy, definitely the better team🔥
The mud. Medieval Rugby. ❤
Well done Italy in horrible conditions.
Highly recommend everyone watch the France vs New Zealand game... Very impressive
That French team is ridiculous. The current state of French rugby is incredible. I may be South African but I will be surprised if France doesn't win the WC this year on home ground. They have the home ground advantage mixed with an immensely talented team to back it up. I think it's really their WC to lose.
@@Sabundy and they play such a lekker style of rugby.
Hi-speed, violent, precision
Super Italy !
As a kiwi, I’d say the French need to be careful not to focus on the quarters and worry about a steadily improving Italy in that pool. Even I’m nervous for the all blacks to not get to the quarters.
The Italian team lost by only a point I think to France in the 6 Nations Under 20 competition.
Odiase will be a world beater one day. Italian rugby is coming
Bravo Italia!!! It was an epic game with the conditions, the players will always remember this game. It is an important game for the future of Italy's rugby as the boys know now they can beat big nations!
OMG 😱 !!!
WELL DONE ITALY....... 🇮🇹
Well done Italy.. 👏👏🇮🇪
Well done Italia! Bagged a full house for the NH teams. That individual try from Marcus was a thing of beauty in those conditions.
Watched the Italians under 20s last 2yrs in Under 20 6 Nations they are building quite well, hopefully it helps with their senior side
Great win Italy. Crushing....
Well done Italy. The better stronger more physical team won.
What an awesome, individual, length of the field try by the Baby Boks 2nd five, Damien Marcos.
Sold two dummies and finished with a side step to run it in under the post.
Sublime.
And they lost. Looked like Italy physically bullied them.
@@galinor7 Italy looked noticeably bigger. The same with France over New Zealand. Size is definitely an issue.
Insane speed!
@@JaemanEdwardsWhen have we ever been able to say that about South Africa. They always had the big boy packs. Maybe it's all the smaller but quicker Bantu
This boy🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
What a win for Italy!!! 🎉
Italy and Georgia are the dark horses of these 2023 U20 World Championships . Great for world rugby. Kudos to these boys.
Hard loss for the embattled Junior Springboks, after an unconvincing win against the Young Lelos.
The way Italy let scores in against Argentina is worrying. Also Georgia got put to the sword their previous game
@@zombievikinggaming4258 To be fair Italy were 1 man down for 70 minutes
@@zombievikinggaming4258 What's worrying is you commenting bullshit.
The Italians did well considering they were down a man for most of the game, and Georgia didn't get put to the sword at all. The Baby Boks barely scraped past them.
Ignorant.
Italy in 15 was in absolute control with Argentina while Georgia, despite playing well, never questioned the victory of South Africa
@@gba7534 They certainly did question the victory. One sloppy moment where the ball slipped out of the maul allowed the Junior Springboks to score that last crucial try. If not for that, the Young Lelos might have taken that game.
i am south african and have to say italy played good hope they can do it to the other teams
Unlucky boys ZA, let's dust it off and move on to the next game. Congratulations to Italy
WOW! Che coraggio ragazzi! Incredible performance! To go head to head and beat South Africa on their own patch is no mean feat! BRAVO! Well done.
Either this Italian side is the next top tier team or South Africa had a rubbish afternoon because this was a well earned victory for Italy and hopefully can brighten the future of Italian rugby
Take a look at the other 2nd round results yesterday - the NH teams won a number of those games in similar fashion.
Italy the better team on the day no doubt. Congrats. But would like to see them again in good conditions with SA having another couple of games together. Our rolling maul defense was truly pathetic. I noticed the coaching team was one of colour not of merit.
Well done Italy. That was a well deserved win. Your rugby has definitely improved. Italian rugby is no longer the joke it once was. As a Saffa i can only say that next time U20 Boks prepare better and you should have known what Winter conditions in Cape Town are like. Why on earth is this being held in Cape Town in June and July? The wet rainy season in Cape Town? 🤷🤷🤷🤷. Surely Durbs would have been the logical choice for this tournament at this time of year in South Africa?
Incompetence.
It was never a 'joke' - have some humility amidst defeat and understand it isn't one of the top 5 sports in Italy and they've come a long way to get where they are, beating a country whose only impact on the global sporting stage is Rugby (RSA) is some achievement.
@@alextully3221 imagine thinking South Africa's only impact globally is rugby. That is pretty ignorant. Sometimes it's better to stay silent and let people think you're stupid, rather than open your mouth and confirm it. Also I don't think the op was being disrespectful at all, not 2 years ago everybody in Europe was calling for us to be replaced in the 6 nations by Georgia...but also this is just 1 game...at u20 level, don't be so ignorant. Italy are on our way up, and we have set a LOT of good foundations for the future...but we are not there yet. This victory does not indicate our arrival, it is just one step in the long journey, and at the same time one loss at age group level is hardly the death knell of SA rugby...great game though. Dai dai ragazzi!!
@@aldobonaso3481 With all due respect Sir, Rugby is the only sport currently where South Africa are at the very top (competing with the very best), insulting me and calling me 'stupid' won't turn against objective fact. What nonsense also about NH Rugby fans calling for Italy to be replaced by Georgia, it was an educated minority at best? I fully support the continued progression of the lelos but at the expense of the Italians? No chance at all. I long to see Italian Rugby flourish as they've produced some sublime players.
It's rainy season over here in new Zealand when the rugbys on too 🤣
If Italy and Georgia can nurture their youth talent and combine it with their already decent senior sides, they could make that leap to tier 1 nations.
The rolling maul is certainly the meta of the modern game
Italy are a tier one nation. They play in the six nations.
@@galinor7 They make up the numbers in the six nations*
I don't know about the rolling maul meta. For me it's something that might work particularly well in youth tournaments due to the lack of experience at that level
Awesome. That mud reminds me of school rugby.
Good to see Italy improving 😍
Watching this match after watching the previous harangue makes it more epic. Congrats to the Italy boys 👏🏻
Thank you🎉ive been waiting all day❤
Italy played the forward physical game, and it paid off.
Well done Italy from a springbok supporter the best team won 👏👏👏
A tremendous performance by the Italians . I'm delighted for them.
イタリアの未来が明るくて仕方ない🇮🇹
That's what happens when they choose players because daddy are friends with coaches or because of the school they are in so many talented players out there not getting a chance because they are in a small school or their parents aren't close enough with coaches
Exactly
Italy shows the strongest ruck, moreover considering the absence for all tournament, i think absolutely unfair, of Aminu.
Said that, SA number 12 did something magic on such an heavy ground..
Did SA rugby not anticipate these conditions? Everyone knows winter in the western cape is wet. Should’ve been somewhere up north
literally
They chose the pitch themselves. Probably believing that it would be advantageous for them.
@@puccaland Problem was, Italy had all the advantages. 😂😂🇮🇹
Mighty effort 🇮🇹
Well dane Italy, I hope the carry over this type of performance when they play for the senior team.
Fantastic to see such talent from Italy.
Good game from both sides!! Good young lads!
Forza Italia , un gusto
Young Legionnaires growing! 😊😊😊
Italy! Well done!
Every southern hemisphere team was beaten in the last 48 hours....interesting times indeed
Can you guys upload the full match?
Only watched the highlights but looks like Italy out played SA with their own game plan
Woo let's go Italy..
En tout cas, idée de génie cette coupe du monde en afrique du sud à cette période...
As a Frenchman coaching junior rugby in Australia, I strongly believe that the school rugby system in SA, Aus, NZ is a disadvantage compared to club rugby in Europe. Here in Aus, unless they go to private schools, kids between the age of 15 and 19 (colts) barely have the opportunity to play competitive rugby.
Midi-Pyrénées in France (Toulouse region) where I come from has 450 rugby clubs for 2,5m inhabitants. Brisbane where I live has 30 for 1,5m inhabitants, only 15 of them having junior teams from U15 and onwards.
School rugby used to provide the best players but it’s no longer the case. Worse, in Brisbane, school rugby is no longer the preferred sport. Historical rugby schools like Brisbane Boys College have more soccer teams than rugby ones.
I don’t know junior rugby in SA as much as I know it in Aus, but I suspect that they have to deal with similar issues.
Secondary school rugby in NZ is alive and well and generates much interest. Of course, NZRU have their own chalenges, going forward. Rugby, however in NZ remains an inclusive sport.
Grandissimi ragazzi! 🎉🎉🎉
This is amazing
They gotta sort those pitches before the knockout stages. Great pack performance from Italia.
Shouldn't have hosted the tournament at cape town in July. Its always rainy. Should've picked Durban or JHB
Congrats Italy!
Bravissimi ragazzi!! 💪💪
THAT...... WAS A PROPER GAME OF RUGBY !!!!
Cet essai du 12... Incroyable
Grazie Ragassi !!!
Well done Italy, the state of that pitch is a disgrace.
It's a local scool pitch. The area has gotten near flood like rain the past few weeks, so it's understandable to an extent
@@lamos1537 Should've moved it, it was barely playable
Serous question. Do you get upset if they don’t leave chocolate on the pillow when you stay the night?
@@lamos1537 Yes, but these players are the future of world rugby. Did the organisers not know this could happen? It shouldn’t be a school pitch for a start.
@@usarugbyleagueunionfan What?
wow awesome win by Italy and just maybe a sign that Global football power is shifting. Italy look good enough to go and win the comp
Nah, it's still too far
But if rugby keep growing one day maybe
meravigliosa italia!!
Nice to see someone giving the boks a taste of their own medecine
wow goosebumps
Proper rugby weather
Grandi ragaziiii
A very good Italian side well worth their victory
FORZA ITALIA! Respeto desde el País Vasco.
Congratulazioni.
The absolute size of these lads
very specific, great
The brother(12) can motor....and that step....bang!!
two european super powers of rugby going at it hammer and tongs
Magnificent Italy! I wonder how Argentina managed to beat Italy, and then lose to Georgia?
Early red card for Italy, and Argentina being a better team, but this was sweet to see. Forza Italia da l’Irlanda!
The red card made it easy for Argie
because Georgia was better at that day)))
The pitch was just dangerous - my son is out the World Cup due to his ankly injury.
Damian Marcus's try OMG
Bravo les italiens
Well done Italy. Amazing performance here. Well done here lads. ❤🐀
The Stormers would have felt right at home on that pitch
Good job Italy, SA needs to lock-in with their young guns this team has way too much talent to take this many L's
Who is scheduling day/night rugby? It's hard enough in the weather.
Well done Italy. Bokkies need to learn maul defences and how to vary their attack as they are predictable.
The pitches are on shocking comditions, eith still more games to play. They are getting unplayable by the end of round 2
It was a stressfull match
Well done Italy. You did very well in the U20 6N earlier this year and now you have thumped our PANSY U20 BABY BOKS!
Our Baby Boks FORWARDS look like they have never played rugby before! But Italy is looking very strong here!
Wow
Great game - ouch!...
tough conditions
So much mud... How do they even keep up with who's playing in which team?? 😅
Were are the live full MATCHES
👏👏👏👏👏
2nd try...first touch from try scorer was a knock on.
No it wasn't.
Ireland won its match never entering the gate and staying constantly offside. Not to mention the injury of the opposition player( which should have been red)
Well done Italy. Very disappointing that Springboks would lose on their own soil.
These endless rolling mauls are spoiling the game. Its like 8 man rugby.
We live in a world where italy beats south africa in rugby 34-26
Not the first time, Italy beat South Africa in other match
@@gunofpatriot00Not under 20 though
Did South Africa miss the first conversion???? it was right under the posts haha
офигеть !!!!!!!!!!!!!
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Quite surprising to watch France, Georgia, Italy and, Ireland basically overpower their opponents in the 2nd round in identical fashion. The playing field conditions are atrocious - poor standard for this level of competition.
Una vittoria storica
The u20 springboks were too light in the pants toooo skinny
A great result, Italy will finish higher in the 6 Nations after these fighters get into the national XV's.
New Rugby fan here. What's a 'no rolling' penalty?
A player made a tackle, and once you've made a tackle and brought them down you need to release the player and move away. The tackler needs to get away quickly so that they are not obstructing the opposition from competing for the ball, they didn't roll away quickly enough and they got stuck in the ruck. Sometimes unavoidable but you see the top players making a big effort to get out of there asap once they have tackled
@@makeperceive Thx for the reply but I'm confused on something. Sometimes a player is tackled but gets back up and continues running. Does that mean the tackler has to have complete control on the ground for it to be considered a tackle? I'm used to American Football so, to me, a tackle is if the player's knee, butt, or elbow hits the ground the play is over.
@@MrBoDiggetyFor it to be a tackle the one tackling has to wrap his arms and bring the other down. And anyway if the tackled player quickly release the ball he can take it again and run
