@@alextully3221 imagine thinking South Africa's only impact globally is rugby. That is pretty ignorant. Sometimes it's better to stay silent and let people think you're stupid, rather than open your mouth and confirm it. Also I don't think the op was being disrespectful at all, not 2 years ago everybody in Europe was calling for us to be replaced in the 6 nations by Georgia...but also this is just 1 game...at u20 level, don't be so ignorant. Italy are on our way up, and we have set a LOT of good foundations for the future...but we are not there yet. This victory does not indicate our arrival, it is just one step in the long journey, and at the same time one loss at age group level is hardly the death knell of SA rugby...great game though. Dai dai ragazzi!!

@@aldobonaso3481 With all due respect Sir, Rugby is the only sport currently where South Africa are at the very top (competing with the very best), insulting me and calling me 'stupid' won't turn against objective fact. What nonsense also about NH Rugby fans calling for Italy to be replaced by Georgia, it was an educated minority at best? I fully support the continued progression of the lelos but at the expense of the Italians? No chance at all. I long to see Italian Rugby flourish as they've produced some sublime players.

As a Frenchman coaching junior rugby in Australia, I strongly believe that the school rugby system in SA, Aus, NZ is a disadvantage compared to club rugby in Europe. Here in Aus, unless they go to private schools, kids between the age of 15 and 19 (colts) barely have the opportunity to play competitive rugby.
Midi-Pyrénées in France (Toulouse region) where I come from has 450 rugby clubs for 2,5m inhabitants. Brisbane where I live has 30 for 1,5m inhabitants, only 15 of them having junior teams from U15 and onwards.
School rugby used to provide the best players but it’s no longer the case. Worse, in Brisbane, school rugby is no longer the preferred sport. Historical rugby schools like Brisbane Boys College have more soccer teams than rugby ones.
I don’t know junior rugby in SA as much as I know it in Aus, but I suspect that they have to deal with similar issues.

      No it wasn't.
Ireland won its match never entering the gate and staying constantly offside. Not to mention the injury of the opposition player( which should have been red)

Well done Italy. Very disappointing that Springboks would lose on their own soil.

Quite surprising to watch France, Georgia, Italy and, Ireland basically overpower their opponents in the 2nd round in identical fashion. The playing field conditions are atrocious - poor standard for this level of competition.

New Rugby fan here. What's a 'no rolling' penalty?

A player made a tackle, and once you've made a tackle and brought them down you need to release the player and move away. The tackler needs to get away quickly so that they are not obstructing the opposition from competing for the ball, they didn't roll away quickly enough and they got stuck in the ruck. Sometimes unavoidable but you see the top players making a big effort to get out of there asap once they have tackled

@@makeperceive Thx for the reply but I'm confused on something. Sometimes a player is tackled but gets back up and continues running. Does that mean the tackler has to have complete control on the ground for it to be considered a tackle? I'm used to American Football so, to me, a tackle is if the player's knee, butt, or elbow hits the ground the play is over.

@@MrBoDiggetyFor it to be a tackle the one tackling has to wrap his arms and bring the other down. And anyway if the tackled player quickly release the ball he can take it again and run
