@@danithilette Makeup Obsession has some palettes I ordered at Target and returned because it didn't list the warning anywhere online but had the dreaded asterisk on the back with little warning symbols like an eye with a slash through it. One of the palettes had like half the colors marked! I emailed their CS but they said it was "safe for the eyes". They're based in the UK but I couldn't help but feel it was somewhat negligent for them to sell in a country but not know the legal requirements for safety warnings. According to the FDA website several of the dyes those colors included are not approved for use in the eye area. It left a bad taste in my mouth so needless to say I won't be buying from them again :/
@@GROWCHEMOME to be fair the FDA has not really updated the safety of many dyes however other countries have done the testing so that's why it's different. there's so many things that we use on a regular basis that are banned in so many countries. I guess it's just depending on how you look at things.

After years in the Corporate CS field, it wouldn't have been impossible for them to get accurate information before responding. Why are (almost) all of their palettes redish- to orangey- colors? I cannot do those colors. We need more undertones. Cooler palettes. I so hope that the reason they are discontinuing Fame is to make room for a new cool tone palette. And not their way of basically cancelling the cooler tones on their site.
It’s just that warm colors suit a lot more people than cool shades! I’m sorry you don’t have too many options. Back in the day makeup companies only catered to cool undertones and now it’s reversed! :o
You would think that among the MANY warm colored options to meet the needs of the supposed "more" customers who prefer those options, that they would provide at least a few options for customers with other preferences. If you are making as many releases as they are, you can cater to more than one audience. For example, look at the single eyeshadows they offer (regular and super shock). Look at how many variations they offer in the different color families. They offer a multitude (an embarrassment of riches as it were) in some colors, and ONE TO TWO options (if one is lucky) in other colors. Their neglect certain colors limits our options and frankly makes all the stuff they put out and even what you can build yourself all start to look alike. It's all fine if you like purple, pink and brown but if you like green or blue you had better look elsewhere.
I do not understand why colourpop is so deaf to their customers. No one wants pressed glitters. They keep putting them in palettes. People want them to slow down on releases. They keep releasing every week. No one wants the same color stories over and over again. They keep repeating similar palettes. I don't get it.
I can think of so many color combos or shades Colourpop hasn’t done. The Whatever palette is just that “whatever”-been there done that. Maybe they are afraid to make specific shades because their shadow formula won’t work? Some shadows in their palettes don’t apply well on the eye (appears patchy) but swatch beautifully on the arm/hand.

I mostly want this palette for the two darker red shades, Bad Guy and Ms Brightside. I would love it if you did the same eye look but using the ex’s and oh’s palette on one eye and this whatever palette on the other and seeing if you could make them identical!
I'm really interested in these 2 shades as well, I'd like to see whether they have dupes in their singles, or somewhere else. Th exes and ohs looks better, but there's no Ulta where I live :( seems like we got stuck with the less interesting one
Faustine Hamon she never replied to me, maybe she doesn’t read her RUclips comments? Anyway, I happened to go past Ulta today and I ended up buying the Ex’s and Oh’s palette. The red doesn’t seem to be as rich as Bad Guy in the Whatever palette. 😭 however on the bright side, the ex’s and oh’s palette doesn’t have a pressed glitter which I usually never use because it’s so messy. I also don’t own the Good Sport palette so I don’t mind the repromoted shades.
I don’t get why they chose roses instead of fall leaves or pumpkins if it’s a fall themed palette because doesn’t exes and ohs have roses on it too?? I do like the burgundy packaging too! And the lip glosses look very promising! I like everything but ironically not so much the palette lol

They could have followed up with a palette that complements the Good Sport. Instead they released another palette that looks like so many of their others. Over it. Colourpop is now making it easy to do a low buy.

I love colourpop but they have put out sooo many warm toned palettes recently. I really wish we could get a cool toned one, something other than fame 💙
nluther22 fame is their only cool toned palette, and it is on sale now, I think it's about 13$, so that probably means it didn't do really good cause it's the only palette on sale, so probably they won't be making too many cool toned palettes, but you never know with colourpop! 😊

I‘m honestly really excited about this collection. I love the burgundy route that CP is taking because the typical warm, Fall colors look atrocious on my pale, pale skin. I’m definitely interested in the palette. I was slightly disappointed about the Mascara not being more burgundy, but I’ll be purchasing that bundle as well solely because I own every mascara and liner thus far. I’m not really sure about blushes or the glosses; not that they aren’t pretty, but just undecided. Thanks for the video! :)

I most definitely want to pick up a couple of the glosses including what you’re wearing. I may grab a blush. Other than that-I’m a bit meh. Definitely want to purchase a few blushes (tbh it was the Fall Out Boy song name that sold me) and a couple glosses! I can dupe/close enough most the eyeshadow shades with stuff in my collection.
I whole heartedly appreciate your swatch videos, however, I really enjoyed when you used to swatch each color one at a time as you told us the color name and explained it’s finish and color details. I liked that because it gave us 5-10 seconds to truly appreciate and bask in the glory of that individual shadow on its own, rather than looking at them all at the same time and trying to decide if we like the palette because the eyeshadows are truly unique, or if we’re just attracted to the color story and aesthetics of the palette. Just my own preference perhaps, but either way I always appreciate swatches!!
This way saves me at least an hour of work (I need every hour I can get!) and most people have found seeing the color story in its entirety to be more useful, particularly during the comparisons. You can always pause the video if you need more time to see the shades! ☺️

So nice to have that confirmed 💗 I also LOVE the burgundy packaging 😍 At first I was intrigued because I love a beautiful burgundy/cranberry color scheme but I just received Exs & Ohs and it's practically identical 😂 I actually prefer it since there's no pressed glitter. I agree with someone who said this is basically the Exs & Ohs palette reimagined and sold on the CP site since so many people (mostly International customers) felt they missed out. Would've loved the mascara if it showed up as an actual burgundy color. If I change my mind and get this one, it'll be when it's on sale. Think I'll get the Good Sport palette next since I don't have it...must correct that immediately lol.

I’ve been passing on all of the palettes with those chunky glitters. I’m not a big glitter fan, and hate knowing that there are shades that I’ll never use. I do, however, LOVE the blushes and glosses. Thanks, chickadee🍃🌸

I really feel the Good Sport palette had/has the best color story. I love colourpop. I have a MASSIVE collection. I just haven't LOVED any of their palettes lately. And why are the prices creeping up? I think the monochromatic palettes are cool but I wish they would do another palette with a unique color story. I do like Kathleen's new palette (mine will be here tomorrow) but idk, I just want something different from them. I'm getting so bored and I'm a die hard fan. OMG, your outtakes were hilarious! I only caught on that the pressed glitter was named "duh" a little later in the video. When you first were talking about it being problematic "duh" i totally cracked up, thinking you were "duh"-ing them for putting a non-eye safe pressed glitter in an eye shadow palate! Haha! (Honestly, how much sense does it make to put THREE pans of things that are not safe to be used around the eyes in an eye shadow palate?) Duh!

12 pan Palettes are starting to look all the same. Was hoping they'd come out with something like the good sport palette! Feel I can re-create looks with this palette with other ones I already have. Would have loved to see a fall 12 pan with a mix of greens, purples, oranges, greys, a black... oh well, passing on this one.
Really appreciate the comparison swatches btw the two palettes. I'm so frustrated with brands including "not safe for use around eye area" products in eyeshadow palettes! Totally turns me off buying those kinds of palettes. Ugh.

I think colourpop needs to take a breather because they literally just made nearly the same palette within a short amount of time between releases. That’s nuts! It’s nearly a dupe. When I saw the whatever palette the first time I thought it was the exs and ohs palette. Now I know why. Pretty much almost exactly the same palette.
Been giving this a look over, and I really like the colors. But, when you have unsafe for eye area... is the idea you might use them as blush or something? Or only with a primer or some sort of eye adhesive between the lid and the makeup? Just seems a waste to make products or put in a palette with others, if you really shouldn't use it.
If they mashed the two together, then I would like it because the shades I was “meh” about one, I preferred in the other. I might end up getting Exes & Ohs with Ulta points ... you would think that with so many people complaining about the same thing they would listen but I guess that’s wishful thinking.
Aww I saw these in Ulta and I didn’t even realize these were the fall palettes! All their palettes look like this. It’s not even in fall packaging. Well, that’s disappointing! They killed it last year with brown sugar and good sport!

Yeah and fame was barely cool toned and everyone hated it anyone other than white couldn’t use it and just about every color was almost the same

Definitely want to purchase a few blushes (tbh it was the Fall Out Boy song name that sold me) and a couple glosses! I can dupe/close enough most the eyeshadow shades with stuff in my collection.

I whole heartedly appreciate your swatch videos, however, I really enjoyed when you used to swatch each color one at a time as you told us the color name and explained it’s finish and color details. I liked that because it gave us 5-10 seconds to truly appreciate and bask in the glory of that individual shadow on its own, rather than looking at them all at the same time and trying to decide if we like the palette because the eyeshadows are truly unique, or if we’re just attracted to the color story and aesthetics of the palette. Just my own preference perhaps, but either way I always appreciate swatches!!
This way saves me at least an hour of work (I need every hour I can get!) and most people have found seeing the color story in its entirety to be more useful, particularly during the comparisons. You can always pause the video if you need more time to see the shades! ☺️
Thank goodness for your review!!! I totally thought the gloss looked much more opaque than the typical gloss. Do they apply streaky at all? So nice to have that confirmed 💗 I also LOVE the burgundy packaging 😍 At first I was intrigued because I love a beautiful burgundy/cranberry color scheme but I just received Exs & Ohs and it's practically identical 😂 I actually prefer it since there's no pressed glitter. I agree with someone who said this is basically the Exs & Ohs palette reimagined and sold on the CP site since so many people (mostly International customers) felt they missed out. Would've loved the mascara if it showed up as an actual burgundy color. If I change my mind and get this one, it'll be when it's on sale. Think I'll get the Good Sport palette next since I don't have it...must correct that immediately lol.

I’ve been passing on all of the palettes with those chunky glitters. I’m not a big glitter fan, and hate knowing that there are shades that I’ll never use. I do, however, LOVE the blushes and glosses.

I really feel the Good Sport palette had/has the best color story. I love colourpop. I have a MASSIVE collection. I just haven't LOVED any of their palettes lately. And why are the prices creeping up? I think the monochromatic palettes are cool but I wish they would do another palette with a unique color story. I do like Kathleen's new palette (mine will be here tomorrow) but idk, I just want something different from them. I'm getting so bored and I'm a die hard fan. If there are some shadows which are not safe for eyes, why would they include them in the palette? I think I have the same shades in other palettes.

OMG, your outtakes were hilarious! I only caught on that the pressed glitter was named "duh" a little later in the video. When you first were talking about it being problematic "duh" i totally cracked up, thinking you were "duh"-ing them for putting a non-eye safe pressed glitter in an eye shadow palate! Haha! (Honestly, how much sense does it make to put THREE pans of things that are not safe to be used around the eyes in an eye shadow palate?) Duh!

12 pan Palettes are starting to look all the same. Was hoping they'd come out with something like the good sport palette! Feel I can re-create looks with this palette with other ones I already have. Would have loved to see a fall 12 pan with a mix of greens, purples, oranges, greys, a black... oh well, passing on this one.
Really appreciate the comparison swatches btw the two palettes. I'm so frustrated with brands including "not safe for use around eye area" products in eyeshadow palettes! Totally turns me off buying those kinds of palettes. Ugh.

I am disappointed to hear you can’t see the burgundy on the mascara though 😣 but I love these colors and I have been skipping out on they’re 9 pan palettes just because they’re releasing so many!! I think colourpop needs to take a breather because they literally just made nearly the same palette within a short amount of time between releases. That’s nuts! It’s nearly a dupe. When I saw the whatever palette the first time I thought it was the exs and ohs palette. Now I know why. Pretty much almost exactly the same palette.
Been giving this a look over, and I really like the colors. But, when you have unsafe for eye area... is the idea you might use them as blush or something? Or only with a primer or some sort of eye adhesive between the lid and the makeup? Just seems a waste to make products or put in a palette with others, if you really shouldn't use it.
If they mashed the two together, then I would like it because the shades I was “meh” about one, I preferred in the other. I might end up getting Exes & Ohs with Ulta points ... you would think that with so many people complaining about the same thing they would listen but I guess that’s wishful thinking.

Aww I saw these in Ulta and I didn’t even realize these were the fall palettes! All their palettes look like this. It’s not even in fall packaging. Well, that’s disappointing! They killed it last year with brown sugar and good sport!

Yes, this is not living up to last years Good Sport palette to me. 😫 I am still on a quest to find a fall palette that takes my breath away. UGH I get so disappointed with the not intended for eye area warnings.

Really sick of the pressed glitters. It’s wasted space. I would love to see them come up with a cool toned burgundy palette. I can’t pull off all these orangey colors. Great video!
