Personally, I don't see how people are upset with there being no set color story, because honestly I think the mix and all of these jewel tones will be AMAZING for fall and winter!
I'm so tired of pressed glitters. I keep going back and forth about wanting this or waiting to see what the next 30 pan palette will look like first because you know they are going to do more in this size.
I’m not big fan of the large pallets. With that being said, I think Kathleen did a great job. In picking out & placement of the shadows. I’m thinking of buying this pallet. Thank you for your review.
I never really planned on using pressed glitters on my eyes since my eyes are extremely sensitive and I plan on seeing for the rest of my life. But, I like that Kathleen showed in her reveal video that we can use the glitter in our hair which I plan to do. I think it's cute and pretty since I usually will get glitter/pixie dust in my hair when I go to Disneyland so, now I can do it on my own on non Disney days if I choose to. Might as well use them for my hair and get my money's worth with them.😅
I am totally down for colourpop palettes too!! When this one was sneak peeked, I knew I had to have it. I would love to see you do some more looks with this one! Always look forward to your videos. HAGD
I’m feeling the same way as you, Amanda! I LOVE palettes like these where I feel inspired to be super creative or just throw-it-on simple. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the 💎jewel tones💎in this palette (my favorite LEWK) and even though I really have no NEED for this, I will DEFINITELY be picking it up!
I like the colors in this one, would love to see you do some more looks too since there's so many options. I'm hoping I can dupe most of them with my already fairly large collection, just to save money, but this looks like a great palette for someone who doesn't have a lot of colors already.
Thanks for your honest opinion. I don’t follow her so this is my first look at it. I hope colourpop hears you about those glitter shades. Can you pull those out and put in shadows from other colourpop palettes? That’s what I would do if I get this. I may get this in the future if I were to be ordering from colourpop but I wouldn’t specifically place an order just for it. I do like though. Colourpop releases a lot of things that are too warm and/or too colorful for me and I don’t feel that about this palette. I really love the look you did and those colors. Thanks Amanda!
I'm so tired of these palettes with "not safe for eyes" colors. Where else will people put it? It's an EYE palette, you should be able to use it on your EYES
It's probably worth noting that a lot of colors deemed "not safe for eyes" in the USA are fine in Europe. I don't hear about a bunch of Europeans' eyeballs falling out from eyeshadow damage so....just patch test first. The pressed glitters are stupid tho.
They are made for the eyes, the warnings are just there for legal reasons. When used carefully they shouldn't cause an issue for the majority, the exception being people affected by allergies, sensitivity, etc. That said, I feel like so many people dislike the glitters, yet they're now putting them in every palette. I don't see why they don't just keep them as singles instead.
The jewel-toned palette is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s, and the gemstone idea is what made me buy this palette despite vowing that I was finished ordering palettes this year.
I guess this is my fav palette because I love gems and i love kathleenlights and colourpop 😂😂😂 and I saw kathleenlights using the glitter in her hair and i actually really like it so I was more excited for this palette😍😍😍😍😍😍
I feel like from now on when I go out of town, I’ll be able to pack this palette and the MorphexJaclyn palette and call it a day! I’m here for the one-stop-shop palette 🎨
I'm honestly someone who really likes the pressed glitters. I don't even put them on my eyes a lot of the time I just use them in my hair or on top of my highlight for a little extra sparkle. I also like how Kathleen showed how you can use the glitter in ways other than putting them on your eyes. They have more than one use and I feel like some people don't realize that.
Using the glitters in other ways is absolutely wonderful but they keep putting them in EYESHADOW palettes and that markets these pressed glitters as an EYE product- that's my issue with it.
@@MakeupJustForFun I totally understand what you're saying here. And I'm glad they've been better about the eye safety warnings than before. I think that SOME of them are okay for eye use if you're careful and use a good glitter glue and apply it very sparsely. But it's totally cool if people don't feel comfortable using them that way. Just there are lots of us who do as well :D I love your videos by the way!! I always look forward to your reviews of Colourpop before I buy anything!
Thank you so much for watching! Just know that no matter what, these glitters are not eye safe. No amount of glue makes them safe. We all know that they absolutely will fall out and I’ve seen firsthand what a corneal abrasion and - god forbid - a corneal transplant are like. Being sparkly will never be worth it. I’m all for people making their own choices but I feel it’s my responsibility to say- these glitters are not and will never be eye safe. I care about your eyes! 😬💕
It looks gorgeous! This is a palette I can get behind! I LOVE and look the best in jewel tone shades and I love the neutrals thrown in! I think I would use every shade and they would be very wearable, and it looks like they will all work really well together no matter which direction you go in! I think the size is perfect and the price fair!
I also agree strongly that you wait for Kathleen’s video to post first! AND I agree - I don’t care for pressed glitters. I’m considering getting this palette on sale, depotting the shadows and keeping the ones that I like
Yes, I would love to see several looks with the So Jaded palette. I’m not going to buy it just yet, but I will probably get it in the future. It’s beautiful.
I love your eye looks! They are simple yet cute! More for everyday looks instead of GLAM looks that nobody has time for. I can definitely see myself doing this. Ty ♥️
Iove the color story here., watching Kathleen's swatches, you can see how rich the metallics are. I love pressed glitter ( I have the all glitter CP palette) and several gels from CP and Lemonhead.LA
I dislike glitter- reminds me of craft days of old.. Anyway- I havent bought any eyeshadow palettes this year, depotted most of my colorpop shadows into big magnetic palettes with mirrors. Sold my disney collection and lots of other brands palettes too ( made a pretty penny too- yay!). I Did a complete "no buy" this year( no monocramatic palettes for me), then I SAW THIS, and loved it and caved and have ordered it even though it was around $60 dollars plus tax in Aussie dollars. :-/ Your eye look is gorgeous. I will soon have my first palette of the year! :-D
Super excited to get this palette!! Just like you, not a fan of the pressed glitters, wish they were super shocks instead 👍 Love your lip colour by the way, it’s perfect!! Great review as always!! 😃
Love the idea of jewel tones BUT not 30 pans. Also, I cannot get over the colors all mixed up. Seems to be a trend this fall. I can't handle it, but that's just me. 🙂
Would have loved 3 super shocks instead of glitters..I am loving the shades Kathleen chose especially those greens and the dark mat blue and aquamarine so will grab it when I can afford too..
People can be creative with storage, I use those nice letter storage holders from TJ Maxx Home Goods for larger palettes. I don't have the Alex drawers, but if you do, you can put the letter holder on top.
I bought it! And I am so happy to hear that it performed well... this will probably be my fall palette. Thank you for the review and I'm excited to see you do more tutorials with this one!
I felt in love with this pallete the day Kathleen revealed it, but I was looking forward for your review, I appreciate your honesty Amanda, thank you 😉❤
Gosh, you look extra gorgeous today. I’m considering this palette as a way to get a lot of easily removable singles to make smaller palettes with, but would likely rarely use it as is.
I love this palette! I personally prefer larger palettes with more options in one place. I love the colors too! I’m so inspired by it! I ordered mine as soon as it became available!
This palette may not be as big as the Morphe palette but I don’t buy those anyway due to the large size so I still don’t like the size of this one either lol. Besides that I’m just really annoyed that I wouldn’t wear 4 colors out of this palette because of the eye safety reasons. So over these unusable colors!! I’m also super confused as to how they included a Super Shock shadow when everyone typically freaks out about keeping them shut tight so they won’t dry out? Definitely would love to see more looks with this ❤️
They’ve been doing the Super Shock formula in palettes for awhile now... they feel a little different to me tbh like they are extra greasy to keep them from drying out. 😬
I have a Super Shock Highlighter palette from last year's Fall Collection and it's still not dried out - I just swatched it to see 😂 But the first SS Shadow in a palette was in Sweet Talk from Spring collection earlier this year.
I am with you regarding the glitter shades ❌Are the pans magnetic like other CP palettes? Are they standard size pans? I'm just wondering if I could easily remove those 2 glitter shades and replace them with a foiled eyeshadows...
Yay! Was waiting for your vid on this one! I love Kathleen, and reallllly want this palette, but I think your review just gave me the strength to at least wait for my next paycheck, lol. My wallet and I thank you! :)
Ughhhhh I can't, I just can't! I've just completed my big byop and a small byop. That said, I would love to see a 3 looks with this. I love CP and I literally can't decide on their newest collections until I watch your video on it!
Thank you for the review! I know it’s not colourpop but can you compare this with the Jaclyn Hill and Morphe palette if you have it please? I really am curious to see!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RECREATE THIS PALETTE WITH THE BYOP SINGLES ❤❤❤ that way we can see what comparable colors we might already have or want to get if you dont want the big palette
If it was just the bottom 2 rows of the palette I would grab it in a heartbeat. I've been waiting forever for some of those jewel tone shades. The rest strikes me as just another bunch of warm neutrals (which are really useful and I think you do need a few neutrals to balance out a palette like this except that I'm cool toned). I think if you already have lots of eyeshadows you won't *need* this palette but someone who doesn't own much shadows might be overwhelmed by its size. Maybe if they'd rearranged the shadows differently within the palette it might seem more cohesive. If you pulled out all the pans you could probably group them into a bunch of different monochromatic groups which would make it seem more useable. All that said I really like the gemstone theme.
I don't have Morphe palettes and there is no need for me personally in a huge palette, which includes a lot of shades that are close to what I already have. I wish there were just a bunch of fall shades and this beautiful Dimond one. And of course huge NO to pressed glitter.
I want a 12 pan palette with pastel shades and another with jewel tones in cp quality and price. Is that too much to ask ?? I get decision fatigue when there is more than 16 shades in a palette
I really like the colors. If they had come out with this palette last year I would have probably never bought the 35M by morphe lol I just don't want to get another large palette. But the colors are so nice 😀 Maybe later in the year idk lol I'm looking at other palettes and waiting to see what brands come out with. Especially the indie brands.
Hey, just for my personal knowledge when I was asking if they were the same pan size I didn't mean the weight/amounts in them! I wanted to know if the actual pan size is the same as the other palettes because I like to rearrnge my palettes and Im curious if I could take pans from this and like put it in Yes Please or something? :)
Are there any colors that are repeats but have just been renamed like the dark brown that is Virgo from her last collab? I just dont want to buy something I already have and I did that for the Spring and Baby got Peach Palette.
I'd love to see you collab with Colourpop. I voted for you when they asked for youtubers we'd like to see them collab with 😉 I'm sure it will happen one day ! 😊
There's 35 colors in the Jacqueline Hill pallete so it would be the same as most Morphe pallets.. Kathleen's has only 30 so it would be like what she said at 1:21
Love to have this just as a decoration the packaging is so beautiful. But I don’t want it right now since I already have so many palettes , I love my yes please palette that I just recently bought 😊. Thank you for the review, I esp love your reviews on colourpop. I don’t like the glitters in palettes either
Do you keep all your palettes in their original boxes? I wish I'd have kept the boxes. I didn't though. I only have the boxes for textured palettes, ie. ABH Soft Glam All my other palettes are just stored as are ie. UD Naked, Colourpop, Tarte.
I love this Palette because of the colour tones. I think the glitter shades could have been replaced with ultra metallic shades instead of glitter ✨ because the glitter is not safe for the eye area
It would be nice if Colourpop made all their eyeshadow pans the same size. I often find myself wanting to substitute a shade or two out of a palette and their single pans are larger than the pans in the palettes.
The palette itself is magnetic all throughout (the cardboard ones) so you can actually cut out the dividing part, take it out and you'll have a large free form magnetic palette :)
Personally, I don't see how people are upset with there being no set color story, because honestly I think the mix and all of these jewel tones will be AMAZING for fall and winter!
Yup!! Its kind of like a rainbow palette but more wearable for regular consumers since they're jewel tones instead of super bright colours!
I really appreciate your eye safety reminders. I don't care if it's "repetitive". It's important! ✔️✅☑️
Would love a 3 looks vid with this since there's so many colors😸
I'm so tired of pressed glitters. I keep going back and forth about wanting this or waiting to see what the next 30 pan palette will look like first because you know they are going to do more in this size.
I agree I'm not crazy about the color scheme of this one so it would be awesome if they came out with more.
Brittany Myers the color scheme looks so jumbled and randomized to me I hate it😖 I feel like they just slapped a bunch of colors together
I really liked your eye look and would love to see a 3 looks 1 pallette with this pallette.
I’m not big fan of the large pallets. With that being said, I think Kathleen did a great job. In picking out & placement of the shadows. I’m thinking of buying this pallet. Thank you for your review.
Just re-watching a bunch of videos on this older palette... the look you did with this So Jaded palette is very pretty!
This is a beautiful palette imo 😍 I don’t like the glitters, but I’m glad she only included two. I’ll be getting it, when I get the chance 💕

There's 35 colors in the Jacqueline Hill pallete so it would be the same as most Morphe pallets.. Kathleen's has only 30 so it would be like what she said at 1:21
I think she meant how does it compare color and quality wise to the JH morphe palette not size wise lol
Love to have this just as a decoration the packaging is so beautiful. But I don’t want it right now since I already have so many palettes , I love my yes please palette that I just recently bought 😊. Thank you for the review, I esp love your reviews on colourpop. I don’t like the glitters in palettes either
I need 3 look please 😁😁😁
Do you keep all your palettes in their original boxes?
I wish I'd have kept the boxes. I didn't though.
I only have the boxes for textured palettes, ie. ABH Soft Glam
All my other palettes are just stored as are ie. UD Naked, Colourpop, Tarte.
I love this Palette because of the colour tones. I think the glitter shades could have been replaced with ultra metallic shades instead of glitter ✨ because the glitter is not safe for the eye area
Love your reviews, please do 3 or 5 looks, 1 palette with this palette. Thank you
It would be nice if Colourpop made all their eyeshadow pans the same size. I often find myself wanting to substitute a shade or two out of a palette and their single pans are larger than the pans in the palettes.
The palette itself is magnetic all throughout (the cardboard ones) so you can actually cut out the dividing part, take it out and you'll have a large free form magnetic palette :)
I ordered this palette right after it was released!!
