From your videos and on the streets you can see that most people are not wearing masks, especially foreigners, even Chinese tourists who are traveling during this period do not wear masks. So the pollution is only temporary. Everyone can survive in this situation and this period is a golden opportunity to use free public transportation to explore and travel in Bangkok.
I was in bankgog jan .11 - 22, my condo was outside of the city , 10 /12 miles , my condo on the 20th floor as I looked out from my balcony I could not see the city , I thought it was fog or low clouds , started to get sick , later learning it was the pollution ,the scale of pollution in bangkok goes from 1-200 , I learned from a advisory that where my condo was the scale was at 152 , very unhealthy , the pollution is not only from cars exhaust which dont have catalyst converters on them , but the burning of sugar cane crops outside the city , which I saw personally as I visited the bridge on the river Kwai, a world war prison camp , and a oboretum of beauty full flowers , 2.5 hour ride, living in bangkok full time will take a toll on your heath air conditioners filters will not help either , I hate to be negative , but bangkok was a big disappointment as far as the city and the beaches , Puckett was so crowed with tourist I took away the natural beauty of the landscape with all the boats and tourist, the food was also a dissapiotment , very over rated, I have been fortunate to travel the world , there are so many betters places to see , better off justing looking at you tube to see it ,
I transitioned through BKK about 10 days ago. I couldn't stop coughing in the taxi on the way to the airport. In fact, I still think I still have some sort of chest infection because of the pollution. I think the idea was a good one - But Thais love their cars and often have to travel a long way to take their children to school. I'll be in Samui in April (after Songkran) so I'll watch your video with interest.

You should seek the smoke bellow out of some of those old buses. It a matter of money. The government can't afford to replace them yet. Do you remember when they got rid of the ticket seller with their shiny round tin and replaced them with machines like you see on the trams in Sydney - It didn't last long.
Ban cars, trucks, and buses and the problem will go away as long as people have the liberty to use alternative means combined with trains. Most modern cities space consists of 30-50% for cars. Not only would it free up tons of space and decrease pollution, but it would become much safer and easier to get around, and small businesses would probably see a significant boost in customers.
This is what happens when you promote a city: everyone comes, gets crowded, prices go up, and then you complain. This what I dont understand about people you found a great place to live. Its not in your intrest for people from other countries to come and live. Because the cost of living will go up and its get more crowded.
I agree especially if most of those riders would have been in cars instead. Maybe make your video next week instead.

Why indeed....with dozens of beautiful modern metropolises in Asia and the Eastern Hemisphere...Bangkok is nothing special except for the exceptionally horrid air quality.....

Smart move with the ticket👍
👌
I’ve seen electric buses in Bangkok, and why can’t the Thai government remove all the buses that run on gas with electric?
That's the point

Still far too many old smoking buses & Lorries. Nothing in my area has changed as far as traffic levels are concerned either ..
I agree
Yes Bangkok is chocked 😮..how long is BTS free ? Thanks Arsen
1 week I guess
Finishes Friday midnight

Hopefully they can understand that soon
Could their electric grid handle an large increase in electric vehicles charging every day?
They shouldn't figure it out right
Why don’t you use a N95 mask with active charcoal filter? The pollution doesn’t bother you at all????
Bothers me but I am allergic to0
Thailand is trying to severely limit staying there, or paying huge fees to stay part of the year.

Going all electric in a city that has massive flooding every year isn't the best idea 🤔
Good point!.
Good point
Go to China and see how they solved the problems , completely electric
😊😊😊😊👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻
👌
With the metro free how about having the metro 24/7?
It's only free for about a week.
I wish
I noticed you always pay in cash why don't you use the card?
I use all types scan card cash, depending if I need change for motorcycle I use cash for that purpose
Cute 🥰 cashier @ 11.30m 😅
👌
I also hope to have bike lane in BKK. I also use electric bike
I hope so too!
👌
👌
😊the tongue
Expressing the situation
Free till 31st
My destination is now KL .😂
Hehe
KL pollution season will be about from June-Sept and that is when BKK air quality is clean green and clear , according to IQ air statistic.😢
Of course it is a good idea to make public transportation free.......
Mmmm u think so
I agree especially if most of those riders would have been in cars instead. Maybe make your video next week instead.
