Thank you! One thing you didn’t mention is how to direct heat or cooling to back seat passengers. I have a Rav Limited.

    Nice explanation thanks
So when it's set to Auto ..the AC button lights up? In case it needs to cool to the set temp?

I usually keep the heating system off (in Winter), until the engine temp starts to rise, else cold air blows.

Come try these settings in New Orleans where winter last about two weeks and summer time is jungle heat. I know. I have a rave 4 and 4Runner with this system.

I was doing it wrong as a Canadian. I thought that in the winter there was only 1 setting for heat: HIGH, even though I suspected that it wasn't speeding up the heat. Now that I have a new Rav4, I will reform my ways and use Auto, Eco mode driving and Eco heat/cool all the time and see what happens.

I have a Toyota Highlander Limited and find the heating system rated poor. Compared to my old Grand Marquis on a minus 20 C start I could start to feel heat within 3 blocks driving. Thank goodness they now have a heated steering wheel and seat warmers because I have to drive about 4 miles until cab heat starts. Then when it does get hot it cooks you out and finding a comfortable temperature setting is difficult. The older manual system wins hands down.

I need to know how to keep the heat on the same setting for after I shut the rav off. So when I start it again, it'll stay the same as when I had shut it off. Is that possible?

Love using my auto climate control feature on my 2019 Toyota Rav4. I habe since i bought new and never not use it. I find most people have no
Clue what it does or how it works and ate not even interested in knowing. Ive tired suggesting it to people
But some ignore it. They rather turn everything wide open and run it that way.

How do I choose an option to blow wind on the front window only? I see there's legs+window option BUT my windows gets foggy real fast, when using this mode.
That said, my workaraound is to use Front windows button and then manually reduce vent from max to something comfortable.
But maybe I'm missing something here?

Hi, I have a brand new 2022 RAV4 XLE. When the heat is on in winter, there is a whining sound coming randomly from the driver far right vent. I have been to the dealer and nothing seems to help. I tested the system again today (summer now) without turning on the AC or Heater button, I turned on the fan, yet there is a continuous whining sound from the far right vent. My dealer has no clue how to deal with it. Any sugguestion from you would be great. Thanks.

Is there a feature on cars that start the engine automatically from time to time when parked outside in extreme cold? The idea is to prevent deep freeze and easy start in the morning.
Which Toyota models have this feature and what it is called?

It was a cold day and I turned the temp from low to 24. Then the air became hot. It didn't change after that even when I switch it back to Lo. The strange thing is, the rear a/c is cold whereas the front is hot. How do I reset the a/c?

How do you bypass all of that if I just want outside air? I don't want the car to automatically control the temperature all the time. I'm more concerned about fuel economy.

But ur very wrong, setting it to high or low will achieve the desired temp sooner, because the fan speed runs faster, tho I do love auto temp feature in general
