    It's the confident top rated teams that resorted to stealing in order to win. It's not technically against the rules but it's definitely LOL worthy for sure.

    • @iluvdrakeandjosh
      @iluvdrakeandjosh 4 месяца назад +2

      I don't really see how running up on people and stealing bags is impressive tactics vs teams having to plan out an entire building, lifting, and team allocation of tasks process last season. This challenge was just extremely lame when in round 2 it just turned into being a "who's bigger and can block you more" competition. It was actually interesting when it was about planning and trying to dupe the other teams and actually being well rounded. Which is why the third match was actually fun to watch. It felt like you didn't know how it was gonna go, and it was thrilling. The second they spent over 5 minutes just throwing the other team around it just got extremely boring. You already know how it's gonna end, it's not about planning anymore or even about stamina. It's about having a bunch of bulky guys in your team. There's a reason they didn't even show the full final match, it's predictable.
      It felt a lot like they were upset the big strong team got eliminated in an actual tactical and fair competition in season 1 and made sure that it wouldn't happen this time.

    • @dks729
      @dks729 4 месяца назад +1

      @@iluvdrakeandjosh I totally get your point. For me, it was more tactics because there are 2 doors to get into a zone. You can use another getaway to get to other zones and you can dodge from those blocking guys. I think that's why it was made in the form of a maze but they didn't use it wisely. But only one female contestant carried bags through another hall while others fighting front of another door. (I don't remember the team name😅) Lee Wonhee's team totally abandoned 1 zone to win just 2 zones, but the other team was so confused and 2 members still carried bags to that zone for 10 minutes which was a waste of time and power. At this moment you have to make an urgent decision and change your plan immediately but they didn't. Or you can make them believe you abandoned that zone to trick them haha. So it was more "use your brain" game for me. Yeah, it was kinda boring, and the editing team found it boring too. (sorry, english isn't even my second language so I can't fully describe my point)

    • @iluvdrakeandjosh
      @iluvdrakeandjosh 4 месяца назад +1

      @@dks729 oh your English is great! I would've thought it was your first language. Yeah there was a lot more strategy that could've been done with the different entrances but the team captains really needed to direct their groups and be able to adjust their plans according to what was happening. That's what HBS the fireman did and that's why his game was really fun to watch. And also because it's a maze even if you know there's another way in, a lot of people don't remember because they can't see it. So they just take the paths they know already. Maybe if they gave the teams markers or something they could use to keep track of paths or something? Or give them communication devices? I don't know how they could've made it to encourage the competitors to talk to each other more and come up with more plans. The editors definitely thought it was kind of boring, you can tell in the editing. I hope next season this challenge is more similar to season 1.
      I had an idea. They can make the middle part two floors. And all the heavier stuff is upstairs and then you have to come back down to get to the zone. But it wastes time so you can decide whether you want to send your team upstairs first and back down or get all the smaller stuff on the bottom. Something like that. I don't know if I explained it right, but they can make it so it's a very clear decision they have to keep making and one decision is harder with bigger rewards, like carrying the heavy sandbags up the stairs last season.

    The actually interesting stuff was when the teams were duping each other into going to different sections and treating it like a mental battle along with a physical stamina battle. The interference aspect was genuinely lame. We know whos has bigger muscles, we watched the round 1 where the point was ohsyical strength. This game should be about other things besides that and the blocking aspect just weighs it against the smaller teams. Last season was much better about making it a challenge about the teams being well rounded and focusing on their own stuff.

    People don't understand that this is how variety shows work. As the only celebrity who's most active in variety shows, and is really good at it, Donghyun certainly understood the assignment when the rules about stealing or blocking was mentioned. It means someone HAD to do it, in order to add some spice to the show and make it more entertaining. Otherwise, it would be too boring for the producers. Had other contestants also understood what the producers wanted, I bet they would've certainly done the same thing.

  • @rei_0749
    @rei_0749 5 месяцев назад +1

    The games started getting really interesting after seeing some teams approach it by trying to stop, slow down or even turn the tables completely by actually using the rules to their advantage, the stealing and blocking weren't allowed until the weighing happened and seeing those weigh ins would definitely up the mental battle.
    The chaos and seeing them all so driven was great especially ep 5's first match and it's really what makes korean variety shows/survival shows a gem. Imo, if the game was to simply carry heavy sacks and barrels to the zone and take it over it would've been boring and not as challenging.
    It's not just about having the stamina and strength to carry them but also about teamwork, strategy, flexibility and whether the team can adapt to difficult situations.
    It's rough watching the person you're rooting for lose but in the end this is a game testing a wide range of their abilities (physical and mental), personally I can't help but find so much respect for each of them individually, they all have their charm but sometimes others shine brighter than the rest depending on the situation.
