The reporter kept trying to get the young lady to say it was about race and the young lady keep saying NO. I'm glad she didn't let her pressure her into saying yes.

This woman's Instagram account shows that she was in Mexico when this was supposed to have happened, and not one word about such an incident either before or after, so it's just another fake racism complaint. She was also vacationing in Las Vegas by July of 2017, just 4 months later. Don't be fooled; this woman lives a jet-setter life. She and her family are always traveling to luxury spots in Cancun, Panama, Thailand, and on and on.

Get a official written statement from the US embassy stating that you shouldn't have any problems
being a CANADIAN citizen and not a emigrant.
Get all documents signed by the person you communicated with ph # as reference.
    Good luck.

People say "racial profiling" but the exact same thing happened to me, and I'm white. I've been refused entry to the USA for literally NO reason. Multiple times, in fact. Even though I LIVED in America with a green card for almost 20 years. After I surrendered my green card, and moved back to Canada, when I tried to re-visit America I was faced with all kinds of issues. I hate travelling to the US. I always have problems, and I'm always treated like a criminal, even though I've never been in trouble with the law in my life.

#1 You get stopped in a random search.
#2 They cannot find anything illegal.
#3 Due to TSA incompetance the paperwork gets lost.
#4 During your next visit they cant find the evidence of your innocence.
#5 Since you're now a suspect of crime you need a non existing VISA to visit.
#6 Trying to argue for your case puts you in a folder of hostile takover terrorists.
#7 Since terrorists are dangerous you're now a threat against national security.
#8 National security issues are punishable by death efter 27 years of interrogation at Guantanamo.
#9 You're now banned for life with the NSA watching your every move worldwide to stop you from murdering the president. All because you cannot dismiss something that never happened in the first place.

I must say that it really depends on whether you get a moron or an intelligent border guard. The US doesn't seem to have any sort of standard for their border protection. Any moron can , it seems , be a US border guard.
I went to the US this Christmas and had NO problem at all. The guard was smart, efficient, respectful and polite. Granted it was a young fellow who appeared to be well educated but no problems at all.
Quite different from a few years back when some coneheaded , high wasted knuckle dragger couldn't understand why my car couldn't be left unlocked even when I explained it to him about the auto lock system.
That time I was denied entry after several hours in secondary. The old fellow who "escorted " me back to the Canadian side did not have nice things to say about the new set of idiots he had to work with.

The border guard who spoke to her is either being shady or ignorant. She doesn't require any kind of immigrant visa because she is not an immigrant. She's a visitor. If I fly to Paris for a week or two, it does mean I plan on moving to France. I'm just visiting. I found absolutely nothing on the USCIS website that would indicate this woman requires a visa. She isn't planning to invest, purchase property, or immigrate to the US.

They kinda glossed over the whole "her mother's banned" thing. Why was she banned? They don't ban someone for no reason.
It's a pretty good bet that if someone is banned from a country, their children are going to at least get a second look, if they get let in at all. Sounds to me like they are actually performing their due diligence, and she's just playing stupid.

It's the opposite for me. I've travelled to Canada from the U.S. and get bombarded with questions from Canada Border Services and have been sent to secondary screening. I finally get let in, but I have no idea what alerts them to do this (they won't tell me). All I do is answer their questions calmly. I'll be visiting Vancouver next month and am crossing my fingers.

they have a computer system and when your last name matches up with someone else's they check it out to see what's going on.if not everything checks out they deny you.
they do this to avoid allowing criminals into their country cause they are trying to protect their citizens which the government as a responsibility to take care of.

If you're bombarded with questions at the border, it's because you are coming over legally, not the way illegals come in and are given a welcome by the RCMP and your suit cases carried over and thousands of dollars to give you a place to stay and most of all you are not a Isis terrorist or a Muslim. They are all welcome through the back door thanks to Trudeau our NWO puppet. Welcome to Canada.

The sad part is that millions of Americans are as stupid as that individual which explains why the US is in such a decline.

It's about time that the US border patrol gave the same treatment we got multiple times going to Canada. The Canadian customs treated us far worse than this woman's without a reason. We don't do drugs ever, we all have zero criminal records, we never violated any Canadian laws, and we weren't rude or misbehaving towards the Canadian customs. They held us "interviewed" and questioned for a half a day just because they could.

    Here is your answer.
you simply ask the U.S. embassy to sign/seal and notarize a document showing that you do not need a visa.
Make sure the name , the phone number and the title of the person at the embassy is clearly visible on the document.
Show the document at the border. If they still trouble you, you tell them to call the individual at U.S. Embassy.
If they still trouble you. tell them to shove it.

Couple of things here: The text associated with this vid is wrong; it was not a "random search". Ms. Kooner stated that the issue was due to an earlier border crossing last December.
Travel to the USA is a not a right; the USA can turn any one away for any reason they please. Border guards (Canadian ones too) are trained to be poker-faced, and a little threatening; this puts people off their guard so that those that may be hiding something are more likely to show verbal and other body language cues that the guards are trained to look for. It takes very little to "upset" a border guard and once this occurs, it's highly likely that there will be problems. I'm glad that Ms. Kooner acknowledged the issue last December; this clearly created a log in the system that was later triggered when she tried to gain entry.
She is correct to state that as a Canadian-born, Canadian with a Canadian passport, she should not need any special visa to simply visit a spa but it's not that simple. If she or her friends behaved in any way that was perceived by the guard to be suspicious or simply just plain rude, he has complete authority to deny entry.

David: an assumption; neither of us were there. I find it really odd that a Canadian with a border crossing issue ran straight to the news claiming racial profiling. I don't know if her behavior was suspicious or not; no one but the woman, her friends and the guard know exactly what happened; it was not a random search.

    • @MakeWay4CJ
      @MakeWay4CJ 7 лет назад +4

"If she or her friends behaved in any way that was perceived by the guard
to be suspicious or simply just plain rude, he has complete authority
to deny entry." What? Now what in anything that she said would even suggest that she or her friends were acting suspicious? Even if that were the case and they were "acting suspicious" are we to also believe that she and her fiance were also acting suspicious? What about her mother who was also denied entry into the country? Was she acting suspicious as well? In other words, you're making assumptions to justify the action of the border control! Coming up with all of these excuses masked as reasons as to why they MIGHT have decided to stop her but none of them explain why she's been stopped twice, was told that she needed to get a visa and WHY there was an attempt made to convince her to sign a paper saying she was an immigrant in her own country! NOTHING you said explains it because there is no other reason other than the obvious and the reporter has already stated what that reason might be. Stop defending primitive behavior.

yes that's their job dress it up where it's not needed, she could have ask questions like did your friends get asked the same question's, but no birth certificate states your race, but your passport does, and to enter u.s.a. she gave them their passports, now where i live they say picture i.d. is all that is required and it's government issue with your history on it, and i just found out why i am flagged every time i go, and i'm white, born here almost a century ago, that i had a drunk driving when is was alot younger and this has never left the computor's and i haven't driven a car in over 20 years, and the drunk driving charge dealth with years before that, so the do look at everything i am eventually allowed in to america, but i usually have a 4 hr. stay till they figure out this out dated charge some where in the early eightys so they do pick some to check out and it amazes me that the criminal's always get across and normal citizens have to pay the price for the border security mistakes of not finding the criminals lol

What makes it newsworthy vs ALL THE OTHER cases that day?
How the hell did the news find out anyway? Seems fishy🤔
My buddy is black, from south america and goes to the states to buy booze and visit buddies.
NOT once has he had an issue...again this story sounds FAKE or at least fishy.
And if all she has to do is get a visa do it. Dont call the news IT WONT HELP the next time she goes.
FYI the USA has no duty nor compulsion to allow entry.

I'm not sure if this kind of thing doesn't happen everyday in the increasingly arbitrary and Orwellian world of the Canada-U.S. border. It's good that people are made aware of how it really works. Anyone working on the border is really just a glorified bottom-level bureaucrat that can carry a gun. They spend most of their time chasing small-time pot smugglers, collecting taxes on incoming goods, getting the computer systems to boot, and then filling out the related paper work in triplicate. The border is just a chance for Conservatives, Liberals, Republicans and Democrats to stuff taxdollars into a bloated security apparatus; it's a make-work project for the military and security contractors that stuff cash into the coffers of the political parties. Don't wait for the NDP to change it, because they'll just use it to symbolically keep the Americans at bay. It's a waste of time money, but all the politicians benefit from it, so it's here to stay.

    • @songsalieri

Guy Souriandt There is some validity to the border patrol. They do occasionally catch criminal activity before people get hurt.
It is in the best interest of both the US and Canada, however, to make the process as smooth as possible.
I don't expect politicians to really care about the individual...I know better. I just expect them to care about image and peace, and that means treating individuals with respect and concern.

It is in fact official policy between Canada and the US. Canadian citizens don't need visas to enter the US at an official border crossing. Americans don't need a visa to enter Canada either. That said, if there's something else in the database that (rightly or wrongly) indicates a problem, any person might be denied entry depending on the issue.
