David, Thanks for the video, I had trouble using mine yesterday on the range, (haven't had it that long), I noticed you set it up facing you, mine was backwards facing which is probably why mine wasn't picking up the shots :) Great video. Bill
Good video Dave. As a frequent visitor to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast (from NZ) I love the familiar sound of the crows in the background. 🙂 I have two driving ranges that I frequent, one outdoors in the open and the other outdoors but with sheltered bays and lights so I go there at night or when it's raining. Unfortunately the sheltered range has really crap balls and I would need more like a 20% adjustment to get realistic distances. On the R10 I adjust the altitude for this and it works well. At the other range the balls are fine and the distances spot on so I leave it set at the local altitude.
Great video David. One of these days I would like to see the difference between the SC4 and the R10. I am stuck between these two, my main purpose would be hitting into a net at home. I am worried about the lack of shot shape with the SC4 vs r10.
i am not happy with R10 because need to pair with a phone and i like to film videos. Pairing with phone is troublesum. And since I am also using Garmin watch I am not sure i can use the R10 on the course while I am using the Garmin S70 to keep the score.
Hate to sit on the fence but it’s hard to split them as they each have benefits. Because this is a SC4 video the advantages of the sc4 is definitely the driving range and how you don’t need a phone connected at all to use the unit. You can see all of the numbers on the screen and then download your range stats later at home when you want to review them
Hi David great video, i have the swing caddie SC200 then purchased PRGR black to use with my stack system does the sc400 have swing speed without ball contact cheers mal
@@davidmaxfieldgolf in accordance with internet information, both Garmin and MLM provide attack angle information. MLM also provides descending angle information. I‘ll think that both measurements are important to improve your game of golf.
Thanks all for watching, check description 😊

Yes it need to be facing the target of where you’re hitting the ball 😁
David. Great video. I’ve owned the SC4 for almost a year now and haven’t used most of these functions…but I will be now!!!
Glad it was helpful! It’s a great device, especially for the range

Yeah the ability to be able to adjust the algorithm for range is definitely very helpful.

I’ll be doing that video this week 😊
@@davidmaxfieldgolf you sure about that?

Good video. I have an MLM2Pro, but I'm considering getting this strictly for the driving range.
It’s definitely a great driving range unit. Love the fact you don’t have to use your phone at all and the unit will work independently
Thank you for your sacrifice 😂😊
@@huddwah lol 😂
Hi David, Great Video. If you had to only pick one, would you pick the MLM2Pro or the Swing Caddie SC4? Which would you say is the best for the money?

hey Mal! Yes the SC4 has a swing speed function also where you don’t need to hit a ball and it will still read the speed for you 😁
Thanks David, look forward to more great content cheers mal
Thanks for your video. Does the SC4 also measure attack angle (like Garmin & MLM)?
Not attack angle but I don’t believe the mlm2pro measures that either

@@WolfgangFrontzek mlm2pro definitely gives decent angle but not attack angle.
@@davidmaxfieldgolf I’m sorry you‘re correct. Garmin only calculates but does not measure
@@WolfgangFrontzek true and it’s an algorithm which can be inaccurate. Almost better to not have it
For the extra money would you go for the mlm2pro or save the money on the SC4?
Depends what you’re using it for. For the range u love the SC4 as you don’t need your phone and can upload shots later
@@davidmaxfieldgolf how accurate do you find it especially in the 5-3 irons, drivers and woods? Compared to the mlm maybe the next video idea?
I compared it to Trackman, check the related videos in the description 😊
Great video Dave, I’ve been looking in to one of these in the shed set up I’ve got
