That's funny coz they did a cover of Linkin Park's "Given up" (with the famous 17 sec long scream that she nailed). ruclips.net/video/g7DLSCP0Ghg/видео.html
That's how they started, with a lot of covers and a few originals.
Cheers from France
Ohhhh interesting. I HAVE to watch it.
these girls are awesome you are in for a treat! Try RISE next!
Love them. Very versatile. Have seen them live twice and they were incredible. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila are 3 of the best bands to come along in many years. If you want some chaos you really need to check out Hanabie as well. The entire Japanese music scene is phenomenal, especially the metal/rock genres. A huge amount of incredible musicians and bands are there.
Great reaction!....Nemophila (neh-mo-fee-la) is 🔥🔥🔥
Nemophila has a WIDE range of sound and style...here are some suggestions based on Mayu's lead vocals (cleans vs screams)
Cleans
Raitei (Live) ruclips.net/video/6aoghIEPOYc/видео.html

G.O.D (MV) ruclips.net/video/18Ddh0UFVN8/видео.html
Screams
Zen (Live) ruclips.net/video/k1yPbBRHFms/видео.html
Most people start with Dissention (MV, Japanese ver.) or Revive (MV) and then Adabana (MV), Rise (MV), etc.
'Zen' (live), Oiran (live) and Dissention (MV) are some of their hardest and best songs
'Odyssey' is an incredible power ballad (80's style) and 'Live' is an emotional ballad-like song sung in the video as a 'welcome back' to Tamu (drummer) after her maternity leave. Great songs that show the softer side of Nemophila.
'Ama-Te-Ras' is a quite unique 'groovy metal' song and one of their best as well.
‘G.O.D.’ is their newest song and 1st song as a 4-piece band
And don't miss their many covers...they are all great as well!
Buena especificación de la discografía de Nemophila 👍
They are a truly diverse band, with a wide variety of genres in their music. i recommend《oiran》live as the next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
100 percent agree Angel. I honestly think they are the most diverse out of the well known bands out of Japan. But of course I have not heard every band either haha. But yes Nemophila can play anything. Had a chance to listen to part of their new song coming out Christmas day which is called Brainwash. It is their most brutal heaviest song to date. Honestly makes Zen seem Zen haha.
@kawliga4845 I listened to the full version and it's a 🔥song!🤘🏻
@@AngelLWJ Yes I did just the same a moment ago. Yes it is fire for sure
Nemophila - "baby blue eyes" flower, "Rurikarakusa" in Japanese; grows in N-America and is appreciated in Japan (see "Hitachi Seaside Park").
The band was formed in 2019, originally as a "session" brought together by...
Mayu - the vocalist (ex- Lipstick band);
Haraguchi-san - (ex- HöLDERLINS band) bass, backing vocals, was Mayu's friend and colleague from Music College;
Tamu Murata - drums, backing vocals, one the most respected session musician in Japan (countless bands), with also her own original carrier; she's also the wife of Akira Yamaoka, musician/composer, known especially for his videogames OSTs, in particular for "Silent Hill";
Saki (ex - "Mary's Blood" band for a decade, "Destrose", and others), she's a "young sacred monster" in J-metal) guitar, backing vocals, and...
Hazuki (KOIAI "Dark Indigo" / Li-sa-X, Disqualia bands) - guitar, backing vocals; both, Saki and Hazuki have a lot of experience.
Unfortunately, Saki left the band in march 2024, after the Budokan concert, thinking that her contribution was enough after more than 4-5 years, pursuing her - successful - solo carrier, and then she became a member of Like-an-Angel band.
The band continues in the 4 members form, with Mayu starting to add guitar bits while Haraguchi-san's bass, and Hazuki's guitar becomes more prominent.
Nemophila, with their self-declared "Jigoku no Yurufuwa" (soft and fluffy hell) general metal-rock style, made an amazing fandom impression during the pandemic, thru RUclips clips...
...so far about 50 Western/Japanese awesomely bonkers covers, and about 40 original, freakishly insane good songs (singles, EPs - including the JPURecords' Extended Edition of "Oiran", 3 albums - "Revive", "Seize The Faith", "Evolve"; EP - "Beautiful Days").
New album "Apple of my eye" for January 2025 (10 songs, containing the 3 from "Beautiful Days" EP).

Love this band. I went to 4 of their US shows! 🤘🔥
Drummer Tamu is early 30’s and mother of 2 children, and lead singer Mayu is mid twenties and also a mother!
Saki is 34 or 35
33 años!@@bandmaidfanATL
This is the studio recording played over a concert video.
Crowd activity? Depends on the venue. Moshing at Nagoya Electric Ladyland last month where they had the space. A few weeks ago in a small club there was extreme moshing, wall of death, crowd surfing. Mayu did a couple stage dives. Caught her once. During the next band, one of Mayu's favorites, she and Haraguchi-san came out on the floor and participated with the crowd. There's a photo floating around showing Mayu crowd surfing while Haraguchi-san moshes.
I feel like everyone is focusing on that statement. It was more so tongue in cheek.
From here I would suggest 'Rise' Live for straight down the middle classic Nemophila or 'Zen' Live for their heaviest song with nearly 100% harsh vocals. But you really can't go wrong with any of their songs. Thanks again for reaction to Nemophila!
'Rise' Live

'Zen' Live

Catchy, happy, and fun, but HEAVY, that's Nemophila for you. Now on to the live version of Zen, probably my favorite Nemophila song, it's at least in my top 3.
I think I might have to do that one next.
Why is no one moshing? Venue rules, most likely. Japanese venues tend to be pretty vigilant about enforcing venue rules, and Japanese audiences tend to be much more respectful than American audiences.
Glad you like them bro :) NEMOPHILA is amazing metal band from Japan.....next G.O.D. or Zen, Oiran, Rise hehehe.
8:12 to 8:20 - welcome to "noise gating". A topic of sound engineering. It is easily done during production, to contribute to a studio recording. It is way more demanding during live recordings.
In this case (as it is studio sound track and live video track), it is a refreshing feature of this video.
I'm using it on my microphone 😁
And yes everything is much more difficult in live settings.
Nemophila actually is the band that got me to listen to metal. So talented and just like Band maid......they can play any genre. I think
these are the best two current bands on the planet !!!
Pueden tocar cualquier género pero no puede cantar cualquier género me refiero a la banda Band Maid! Que buen equipo!
I watched that actual live on a stream and it was better than the studio version. That place was ridiculous hot. So much so that Saki, the guitarist right of screen had to wipe down her guitar with a towel as it was covered in sweat. (Saki has since left the band amicably and does her own solo stuff) Nemophila have a new album coming out in January too so look out for new songs.
Hey McFly we are having a live Band Maid, Maidstream this Saturday night 10:00 pm est on Creativity Talkings reaction channel. It would be awesome if you could possibly stop by to say hi and help us support the Maids. 🍺😁🤘🏻🕊️
@@RogerChance5309 7pm PT. I will try to make it!
@ Awesome! 🍺😁🕊️
@ To be clear we would just like for you to show up in the chat and say hi. You don’t have to stay long. However in the future we are looking to have multiple reactors on a livestream(s) if that would be something you’re interested in. But right now we are looking for someone who would host it.🍺😁🕊️
@RogerChance5309 oh I understood the assignment. Haha. Id be up for being part of a stream with due notice. Sounds exciting!
Sorry I couldn't make it. Had a bit of a family emergency yesterday evening. Hope that doesn't sway you from inviting me in the future.

🤘🇺🇦❤️ Nemophila 🌸
Nemophila are pure 🔥🔥🔥. They play a variety of genres and excel at all of them. This footage was taken from a live-streamed concert and was the first time the song was played to fans. I recommend you try Adabana or Revive next.
Thanks for yet another great reaction---subscribed. And, oh! You need suggestions, and you need some moshing?
I suggest you try HANABIE. They are max fun. "いとをかしMyType" is great for an introductory music video. And if you want to see them live, try the LIVE version of "Pardon Me I Have to Go Now".
I've attended them live, and there was headbanging, moshing, a Wall of Death, coordinated jumping, crowdsurfing. Until this year (for safety reasons), the lead vocalist was known to crowd surf, and the bassist to descend into the crowd to play in the middle of a Circle Pit. ("Tousou" is the Wall of Death song, and also a great choice.)
🤘😈🤘
I appreciate you!
Lol. Wasn't ready for the scream..... 😉wait for it.
The bassist plays a five string, and the two guitarists play 7 strings. Try the song " Zen. "
😏❤️🎙🎸🥁😎🤘
They have mainly happy songs, but hard! They have one negative and that is "Dissention". And they have some sentimental ones. "Life" is nice.
Regarding moshing - that is not really a Japanese thing. The only two Japanese bands I know that have moshing are Babymetal and Maximum the Hormone. And both do moshing controlled by the artists, in particular Babymetal, that only has quite harmless circular pits. Maximum the Hormone are wild though. More than wild.
They do mosh but it's usually very small clubs.
I’ve been to many independent artist shows and they still mosh. I understand an artist not wanting it though.
@@cius2112 I assume so. Hanabie is a special case. They are almost always in small clubs. And they participate in the moshing.
@@mcflyjp Personally I go to concerts to see and hear the artists. Moshing do NOT help me to see and hear the artists. Personally I appreciate the general Japanese custom to not have moshing.
@rolandkarlsson7072 I think the 1st time I see a band absolutely I agree. But some bands I've seen 4-7 times I'm gonna want to have some fun.
1) ENIGMA@日本武道館 2024.2.17 [Official Live Video]
2) NEMOPHILA / Change the world [Official Live Video]
Written by Hazuki, guitar stage right.
Hi. They did covers too. Babymetal's "Megtisune" were one of them.
Nemophila shows do get moshing and surfing. That show was like really densely packed with people, but they still managed to get a compact wall of death going during one of the other songs ('OSKR' I think).
I much prefer the live audio (which is on the blu ray of this gig). The staccato section sounds best done organically, live, rather than chopped in a studio.
For me..Most promising metal band out there 🔥❤️ They play whatever they wanna play ns nailed it. Lovin Nemophila 🔥❤️🤘
Edit: Their liveshows are crazy metal fests, lots of moshing, pits, etc. This one was quite small place with fully packed and it was Hot as hell, it was streamed live and people were starving in heat 😅
Sugoi! Yes, their young. However, Mayu (lead singer) and Tamu (drummer) are moms! Arigatou! 🤘🤘
Awesome reaction!! Please react to more Nemophila, Rise , Oiran , revive
Hi McFly:
The crowd doesn't follow the band simply because it's the sound of the studio version overlaid on a live version...
The actual live version of the footage sounds different.
Im sure you would love Hanabie. As well if you enjoy Nemophila.
I would probably suggest; My type since its the newest mv.
Or a classic; we love sweets.
Im sure they wont dissapoint you.
Lol that's saki guitar not a 7 string bass
Yeah I meant guitar. Idk why I said bass.
Nice one McFly!
They are 25 to 30 years old. But most Japanese bands will be 25-35 years old. The more correct question here is - why are there so many pensioners in music in the West and where is the youth? ))
@@Olkam-w5u they are there. You just have to look.
@@mcflyjp I know. I'm talking about advertising and promotion.
By the way, here's another group that will surprise you: 【花冷え。】 - いとをかしMyType - Music Video 【HANABIE.】
When the time comes and you react to Hanabie you need to see them play live. At the live shows there is always a mosh pit. I seen them live and it was almost nonstop duriing the show. Sorry no mosh pit but it's live Hanabie (Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now) ruclips.net/video/2FutnRPHj20/видео.htmlsi=irhw5vjJ1al8F2qz
LOL! You're only the asshole if no one else joins in.
Loving Nemophila, creative high energy metal (and others) played with real joy.
If you like this you really need to check out “Zen” by them! It’s reeeeeeediculous! And the audio truly is live for it.
You need to listen to the great Japanese bands of the 80's and 90's. You'll understand their influences better.
Regarding audio overlays. This video is cheating. Its a studio track, just as Linking Park. That is not normally a thing Nemophila do. I know of no other video. If you want to hear a real live video that is good and where they go hard, I recommend Zen. There is no clean singing there.
Too much stopping bro
Thanks for the engagement!
