  • Gabriel continues to lead us through the castle, where we frolic in the park with some adorable puppies and a delightful young lady who was probably misled about what kind of weather she needed to be dressing for.

Even when trying to rewatch the first 4 seasons, it's difficult to enjoy with the knowledge of how it all ends. The ending was actually so bad it tainted the entire series. Quite a feat, if you think about it.

I would like to see a mod where all the villagers and priests are nice and not filled with monster worms, and everything is sunny and the normal amount of dirty, nobody speaks English so they bring out Chief Mendez to talk to Leon, who takes him to Salazar, through the village and the church. Salazar is slightly less creepy and dead eyed but still an inbred midget, Sadler comes in as a religious leader like Palpatine before he got his own lightning in the face. They show Leon around the castle during the day and everything is nice looking. Leon and Sadler walk through the maze filled with regular, friendly, huskies. Sadler talks about the highly advanced research facility nearby, guarded by a large private military force, and they are the ones who kidnapped Ashley because secretly Umbrella. Leon calls up Hunnigan and tells them to send in STARS. The game ends with Leon, Sadler, Salazar, and Ada and Louis who just show up, all having dinner.

On Game of Thrones, I think that cutting away from the Mountain torture scene was a shout out to the books, which describe all sorts of torture scenes in gruesome detail, but they never tell what happens to the people that Cersei tosses to Qyburn to experiment on, and even she's scared to find out. I also rather suspect that rape was the least of Septa Unella's worries.

They lifted the scene of Qyburn murdering Pycelle straight out of the books, only it was Varys murdering Kevan. I don't see why making another death reference to the books would be that far fetched.

Okay, this is the real reason why the merchant didn't have a first aid spray around 19:00-20:00. You had at least 2 heal items, not sprays, and the game does not want you to be abundantly stockpiled with healing items. But, the game also doesn't want you to completely run out of heal items. So, to sum it all up, you had enough healing items to survive the seemingly infinitely spawning waves and waves of Zealots or Ganados (monks), the Novistadors (giant bugs from the sewers) and the Colmillos (zombie dogs). Also, the Garradors are the big "fellows" with long, artificial claws and big parasite on it's back.

Stannis is alive in the books. Also the show consistently ruined stannis's character to the point of him becoming a cartoon. example: In the books stannis sacrifices cannibals to the red god to keep his men in line but refuses to burn non-rhllorite soldiers to avoid alienating his northern allies. In the show stannis burns his only child and heir alive while she begs him not too because it might help him.

The sector liberation in inFamous was at least fulfilling. It was a little repetitive, but it wasn't the same thing every single time, it cycled. When I went around blowing up radio towers and oil pipelines in Just Cause 2, I'd thought it would affect how the Panau army functioned. Like, destroying towers increased response time from reinforcements, or blowing up the pipelines meant those reinforcements rolled up in weaker vehicles because they couldn't spare the petrol. Unfortunately Avalanche didn't put that much thought into it.

Regarding Game of Thrones, I have lately felt that plenty of scenes have good acting (seriously, the actors often have to carry pretty weak material and they usually do a stellar job of it (especially Peter Dinklage who somehow manages it even though he is very obviously phoning it in at this point)), score, and set design, making them pretty great when viewed in vacuum. But on the whole, the show has been suffering from some nasty pacing problems and significant gabs in both plot and characterisation ever since they ran out of book material to adapt and GRRM effectively stopped having an active hand in the show's development.

For someone like me that doesn't really sweat, it's actually more of a hindrance, as I'm also anemic, and for me, I always feel cold. I wear long-coats during pretty much any time of the year, and I can hardly tell 70 degrees from 107... I always feel like I'm going to have a heat-stroke someday because of it, and I've came close a few times when I was younger: at my graduation practice, it was 104 degrees, for about 8 hours straight, and we had to wear standard clothes, men had to wear 3-piece suits, and our gowns (black) for the entire time, and when I was done the first day, I just remember being at my friend's house feeling light-headed and sleep-deprived, and the carpet of her house was green (at least I think it was), so, everything was sort of "bloomy", but dark, because most of the blinds were closed. I just remember sort of sitting there on the carpet with her, (oh, this escalates fast) rubbing her back and just sort of going into this hypnotic, coma-like state, because the shirt she had on was striped (black and white), and I remember looking down and trying to keep a conversation with her, but I was literally slurring my speech I was so screwed up, and I recall that because my hand was moving the fabric, it was making me ill by blending all those colors together, and made me feel sensory deprived...
Moral of the story... only good love stories end with sweat...

I find it amusing that Yahtzee and Gabe care about more in-depth things like proper characters and the likes, but are completely fine with it that over the past two or three seasons pretty much everybody either forgot about or stopped caring about feudalism and the proper chain of succession, etc.

If there is any lessen to be taken from history (and a thesis statement of the story) is that being in charge is mostly thru the use of force. The chain of command and succession is kind of meaningless in an environment, where the last "true" king was overthrown by a man who left no heir, and whose best friend was murdered to spark a civil war.

one thing that bothered me was that the whole season Margaery seemed like she had a plan, that she was plotting something, then it gets to the last episode and, WUMPF it all came to nothing.

@1:08:00 almost vomited, that's super gross. My brother had a habit of doing that, and I could never understand the draw to it. First thing my brain does when it realizes "sinus refuse" exists in my mouth is to have an immediate close-out sale. EVERYTHING MUST GO!

    Dear Yahtzee and Gabe,
Was Hunter S. Thompson a strung-out hack, or does he deserve his literary legacy?
*I live in Hunter's hometown and there are several murals of him and Muhammad Ali...

it's exactly this attitude that gameplay comes first and the story is a secondary matter which causes video games to be still considered a lesser, more immature form of cultural output. A good, rich story is a value in itself.

But a good, rich story is often more suitable for some other medium - film or book.

In regards to Night Watch, it really depends what movie you are talking about, since there is about 3 - 4 of them and one is an american remake of a Danish movie.

Here's another thing. In real life, there would still have been one round in her gun if she wanted to shoot him before she left at around 52 or 53 minutes in. He doesn't clear the chamber before tossing her gun down.

Well, I stopped eating snot when I was very young and I realized that the really sticky snot was gross and I didn't want it in my mouth. With Yahtzees lack of social contact for the majority of his life I guess it shouldn't really be a surprise honestly, cause that is definitely the kind of the your friends tell you to stop doing cause it is gross. So yeah, a lack of good close friends from childhood will do that to you.

I remember eating my own snots when i was a chid. I broke my leg when i was 5 and while recovering the doctor said "No more eating snots, that'll make your leg worse" and i immediately stopped.
Hearing Yatzhee now made me realize, 20 years later, how fucking stupid of an excuse that was, but thank god i leaved it early
