Lovely. Doing it in style. I went out to inchmurrin in October and camped out on the north east peninsula for a few days, in fact we had to stay an extra night due to the wind before we could get off.
Yes the wind on Loch Lomond can make/break getting on or off. Well done for staying the extra night and not chancing heading back if it was too windy. Cheers James
Almost exact same route a couple of weeks ago. Same clear sky and water so calm with the sea plane landing quite close us. All boats away for the winter at Balmaha....😊😊
“I took the day off work today to go kayaking” is always a great way to describe a marvelous day!! 😁👍 Lunch looked pretty good! Next time, maybe try adding a bit of diced hot peppers and a squeeze of lime, and a bit of onion: pico de gallo, it’s called in Mexico. Yum. If you can find avocados in season, mash some up with your pico, add a little cilantro, and you’ve got some excellent guacamole-just the thing for a traditional Scottish lunch on Loch Lomand! 😁 Once again, thanks for the map, and for your excellent camera work and editing. These little videos really do help keep me tied to the auld country. Cheers, James!
Gosh Frank! My mouth is watering with your suggestions... I will try them out the next time on the water, of sure. Yes, traditional Scottish cuisine, hee hee. Nice one Frank - take it easy! James
Awesome paddle mate such a beautiful loch. I'm so looking forward to next year as I have a kayak Camping trip planned on Lock Lomond. Can I ask you at South end of the Lock there's a steam ship, next to it is a large carpark Do you know if you can leave your car there for a few nights while on the Loch? And if you can do you need to book a space? Cheers mate.
Alright mate! Thanks for that. Where are you going on your camping trip - next year? I assume you are waiting for the better weather and longer light at night? There is info here for parking at Loch Lomond shores: lochlomondshores.com/your-visit/parking/ Check it out... it looks like you can leave your car free. Cheers James
@@JamesFleming888 Thanks James much appreciated. I will probably be up there some time in May or June, Hoping to spend a week on Loch Lomond and maybe check-out Loch Katrine, So more of a Kayak Holiday than just a trip.
