It's only an idea, but I think i would be a good thing, if you make az optional subtitle which explain the actual character and the anime/movie from which it came from.

I never hear anyone mention Blood The Last Vampire now a days, but holy FUCK AM I GLAD to see some people know about it or remember it in someway...VERY GOOD MOVIE and that performance was great!
