Because my life is so hectic and uncontrollable that 54 seconds is going to change the world for me, which must be truse cause I'm on FUCKING RUclips. Get over it
Mallaceis 15 seconds is to build suspense 30 seconds is really pushing it 45 seconds is the uploader laughing at us a full minute is the uploader too dumb/lazy to edit his fucking video
As a daily commuter via train I can tell you those bnsf trains (shown) move so fast and produce so much air I have been almost blown off a bench a safe 30feet away on a platform. They are nothing to mess with.
When the tie moves that much the tracks have too much freedom of movement independent from each other. This means that a derailment is very likely on the part shown in this video, if a train goes over the speed(which they often do.). Hjalmar Nyman
Mission Impossible 6: Tom Cruise disguises himself as a dead man laying on the rails covered in ketchup and millimeters before the train his he moves so that he's not on the rails and is under a 75mph freight train and has to hitch a ride from the bottom because they're are guards on the train so he latches on from underneath and rides for several miles until he get's to the secret hideout.
I remember seeing that when the oculus rift was first announced, one of their first demos was one where you were put in a virtual guillotine and were forced to lie down faced up so you watched the blade. and I'm pretty sure without warning the blade would fall down and slice your neck. The reactions were priceless but I can't find the original footage I'm talking about.
Great video! :D In the US, I guess. The condition of the railway is terrible! In Germany that would be repaired ASAP. You should send this video to some officials in charge of maintaining that part of the track.
I was trying to make these here in México. Could you please show me how do you attached the camera to the rails? im afraid that my camera goes flying with the movement of the train.
I've operated over someone's camera before. Considering what else we run over that is actually sitting on the railheads rather than between them (such as pieces of rock/ballast larger than that camera), I don't think the guy complaining about the camera endangering public safety is being very reasonable. Railroad policy even dictates to throw tie plates, brake shoes, and other debris between the rails in order to prevent tripping hazards. The dangerous thing here is the "don't try this at home" element. While the guys who filmed this seemed to do so without incident, others who decide to try for the same footage might make a deadly mistake for themselves and/or others. An e-stop can derail a train if conditions are right. Derailments can result in oil and chemical spills, fires, loss of life, extensive property damage, etc. We all know what the train can do to a person who doesn't move out of the way, so there's no need to recapitulate that warning in this uncensored forum.
I'm just wondering, shouldn't the barriers close a bit sooner? The train comes about 20 seconds after they're down, which leaves very little time to clear the rails. Imagine a heavy truck with a long trailer crossing.
Sometimes I fall asleep on these tracks. Nothing like a nice fast train in your face waking you up in the morning just to let you know you are alive.
Trevor Philips So Trevor, how's TPI going along?
Yo Trev you wanna be in a movie you can be Yourself
Love you Trev
Oh no I hope I don't let the camera get runned over
I am 📻
One of the best GoPro track vids out there. I think the fact that you placed it near the crossing gates made a big difference.
My favorite part was where the childhood friendship blossomed into a beautiful adult romance.
The fuck?!?
grimmer190 ..wut?
Bruh
wow you can see the wood flexing

Ryan D Shut the fuck up Ryan. I don't have time for your shit.
***** Heh heh heh, you told him you don't have time for it. That's funny, because irony.
Nah dude, the 54 seconds before the train appears is to build suspense.
Mallaceis
15 seconds is to build suspense
30 seconds is really pushing it
45 seconds is the uploader laughing at us
a full minute is the uploader too dumb/lazy to edit his fucking video
Dam the train was so powerful, the wood has shook
I agree but if it was super fast it would get off tracks and fling off
As a daily commuter via train I can tell you those bnsf trains (shown) move so fast and produce so much air I have been almost blown off a bench a safe 30feet away on a platform. They are nothing to mess with.
I'm glad you feel safe 30 feet away
When there's cars with flat ends like empty bulkheads or centerbeams in a manifest, those things produce a ton of wind, even at low speeds.
That was fucking awesome. The build up after the barriers went down was wonderful.
If OP is correct in saying the train was traveling at 75mph, the train was therefore 0.9miles long.
The timing is great: Just when you start to get antsy wondering when something is going to hap-- *ding-ding-ding-ding"
Thats how id imagine getting buzzed by a spaceship if it had sound. Also I love the big flash at the end when it finishes passing. Great clip!
Sounds like lasers in a sci-fi flic...also had flash backs of "Back to the future" whilst enjoying an epileptic seizure.
...
It's like the wood is moving!
That was seriously intense and definitely worth doing
Some say this is how George Lucus created the sound effects for Star Wars.
Friggin awesome...I enjoyed that.
I actually felt like I WAS THERE :O that was great!!! ahh!!!!
Mosaic .u. Me too😊
Wow thanks for the experience without the danger of just lying there.
DAMN! Great Catch and Amazing Video. One of the Best Train running over camera videos I have seen
wow...must be what it feels like when one dies..and our live passes before our eyes. amazing
Excellent! Like the scene from 2001 A Space Odyssey when astronaut Dave enters the monolith worm hole.
When the tie moves that much the tracks have too much freedom of movement independent from each other. This means that a derailment is very likely on the part shown in this video, if a train goes over the speed(which they often do.).
Hjalmar Nyman
I concur, the velocity and the momentum is insufferable and indistinguishable.
trains can weigh 17,000 tons. Ties are gonna move bud. Your information is a bit misleading
Shut up and go back to reddit with your safety/ethics/nanny-esque criticisms. People like you make me vomit blood.
Rob Sardone when the ties move out of their intended position the torque vector changes.
Shush
that sound is absolutely insane.
Amazing perspective of a train passing over a GoPro camera. Cool idea.
In Spain barriers felt down a few before than that. You have little time since the barrier is on position until the train passes. Anything can happen.
I can watch this all day long
If you stare at the video when the train is going over it is kind of like the psychedelic scene in "2001 A Space Odyssey".
Mesmerizing.
love how the wooden beam moves! :-) awesome!
Max speed for Freight is 70 mph, and the rr ties move like that all the time.
This was my childhood back in 2011, good times.

Nice! I be wanting to try that with my phone but I be having bad thoughts in my mind. Beautiful catch by the way.
That was great! But damn imagine someone with epilepsy watching this
Dont have to, I’ve seen about 15 people complain about it on this one video..
That's pretty cool!
That was totally cool!!!
Seems like if you want dramatic lighting you have to intermittently have the light cut in and out at around 75mph.
Now I want to see one under one of those trains that go 200mph+
That was pretty cool. Nice shot!
It surprised me how much this made my palms sweat.
Looks fun. Im sure my fit and athletic body would fit underneath quite easily, guess ill be trying this to impress m'lady.

Trains are fucking terrifying

"do you have a flag?"
'No flag, no country. Those are the rules.'
This video would be a better Doctor Who opening than the current one.
Wow that was fast!!
That is sweet.
As a kid, we all would wonder what it was like to sit in between the rails when a train went by. Very glad none of us were dumb enough to ever do it.
that was really fantastic!!
I hears lightsabers there, was this a train full of Jedis?
Great work. Where was this?
It's sucking my will to live!
They said Go Bro, Go bro take it bro. Not GoPro. :D
You really would not want to be hit by that thing... my god that looked dangerous coming right at the viewer that fast lol.
Rocks when trains pass: *BRACE YOUSELVES*
The train sounds like a spaceship from star wars flying by.
Felt like I was pod racing for a second 0.0
Awesome ! Thanks :)
I will never think about lying under a train ever again...EVER
70mph that's the max speed of any unit on BNSF
Wow that train went so fast!
look at the flex of the wood ties... thats crazy!
Woooow.Great!
That is scary as hell lol.
Seriously, how did you mount your GoPro?
Hey it sounds like those tracks are smooth out
1:46 hey you, you're finally awake
Now imagine your body.
That was just wild!
thats pretty fkin cool that you got to do it next to a crossing. i just bought a gopro and am planning to try this near gila bend az
awesome!
Nice going. Loved it
Is that piece of wood humping the ground or something!?!
It’s insane to see the railroad ties flexing.
Focus on the piece of wood! That looks so unreal! Am I the only one seeing this? looks like they are bouncing! better to see at the end...
It's surprising how the wood keep bending that much without ever breaking.
truly scary, wouldn't want to get hit by a train
Best dubstep ever!
If you have Virtual reality glasses
yeah that be awesome scarier than any horror film

I want to the same thing with my hero3 but...... I don't want to take the risk. And that sleeper was moving!!!
Great video! :D
In the US, I guess. The condition of the railway is terrible! In Germany that would be repaired ASAP. You should send this video to some officials in charge of maintaining that part of the track.
Don't mind us. We're just putting some unknown electronic device under the train tracks...
Nobody
The railroad crossing: *doesn’t have lights*
Did you count how many locomotives? I think there was 4
The effects are so sick.
Holy shit the go pro comes with video editing software and you still left in the first 45 seconds?
i like trains
I was trying to make these here in México. Could you please show me how do you attached the camera to the rails? im afraid that my camera goes flying with the movement of the train.
i was sleeping, with youtube on auto pilot, and somehow THIS video played into my dream.. Wow. I was in India getting electrocuted
Badass! Imagine that slamming into your car, or you! Damn!

1:56 GO PRO !! are you okey? XDD
so interesting how the crossover wood is actually rising from the insane weight of the train
That sleeper is moving way too much. Ballast sacked, needs maintenance.
I'm just wondering, shouldn't the barriers close a bit sooner? The train comes about 20 seconds after they're down, which leaves very little time to clear the rails. Imagine a heavy truck with a long trailer crossing.
YOU CAN EVEN SEE THE WOOD MOVING!!
After reading, I feel like a rebirth or life figured out something
yep, that was cool
Damn that's fast!
I clicked on this thinking there was a body underneath with a gopro. Guess i was wrong
Wadsworth constant applies.
Sweet!
