ok but the thing that gets me is the way ernst says "oh god" because he can tell it's gonna be a wild and gay ride. also when ernst kisses hanschen and then quickly realizes that he is, in fact, gay
i Love how they slightly shifted the timing of the kisses! 'Oh god' *before* the first kiss? Already absolutely brilliant. But making it so Ernst initiated the second kiss to alleviate Hans' concern?? That's like. galaxy brain shit DWSA will forever hold a very special place in my heart but i think creative liberties in this performance make it close second, if not perhaps even the first
I LOVE the fact that their first kiss was quick, it makes it feel real, as usually first kisses are just like that. Honestly, i love this version aaah-
I love this version because it’s funny but it’s not made into a JOKE also they can both sing really well and have obviously done there character homework. You have made a VERY picky SA fan VERY happy *tips fedora*
Oh. My. God. I can't get over the argentinian version (with Eliseo Barrionuevo as Hanschen and Leandro Bassano as Ernst) but I think I fell in love with this version too
a bit of criticism: great voice and i love ernst and it looks like a great production, but i feel like hanschen is a little bit TOO feminine, Hanschen is supposed to act a lot like Melchior, but stronger and manlier, and that makes Ernst feel attracted and shy around him, because Hanschen to an extent: is intimidating.
I agree. I know we shouldn't be so stereotyping about it, but it is quite nice to have a more "masculine" Hanschen, and Ernst is quite innocent and camp
Unless they’re basing their production more off the play then the musical. Which seems to be the vibe I was getting. The musical made some... questionable changes to the characters, one of them was actually switching around some of the stuff with Hans and Ernst. Also, neither boy has to be feminine or masculine. Ernst originally was masculine and Hanschen was directly in the middle of the two.
This is so romantic and sweet. I love the boy who played Ernst. He had this adorable innocence to him.
I love how they changed it a bit like the order of the words/kiss it's cute :)

ernst is absolutely stunning oh my god
Kaname Aoyama isnt he?? every time i watch this that's all i think. he's such an amazing ernst and is absolutely adorable.
Oh my god they’re absolutely amazing I cannot stop watching ❤❤
I love the actors chemistry!
Also love the balance of sweet and comedic
Most versions just go for one or the other, this was a good integration
why is hanschen so passionate abt ernst's shoes

1:45 when he realises
“OH SNAP THATS PRETTY GAY....WAIT....*IM* PRETTY GAY...”
This is perfection on every level
This is legit one of the best versions I've seen, bravo!
THE DRUMS AT THE END I LOVE THAT
first rendition of this song ive seen (other than dwsa) that ive genuinely loved

Honestly my favorite version so far
Ernst’s voice is so stunning tf
hanschen, dont bruise the child
Omg this Ernst is just *mwah chefs kiss*
FINALLY. i hate that this song is always made humourous. it isn't. they deserve just as much as a serious love story as anyone else.
who is this ernst, i love their acting.
In the words of Thomas Sanders, Could Be Gayer!
HAH hi fellow Fander
The Crown Uptown's 2013 production
I cannot legally do that.
who played Ernst?
