I have prepared and it is delicious! 150gram wheat flour and 150 gram all purpose floor, 200 gram butter, 10 minute at 275 celcious and 35 minutes at 175 celcious ( is lowest of my gas oven) in preheated gas oven. I think 30 minutes is better than 35 minutes at lowest temperature. Just now prepared. Thank you Sir and Thanks Shahrookh Irani!
I Thank You for all your efforts really appreciate the way you show each step of your recipe so easy to follow. During my Dialysis I'm hooked on to your delicious recipes and after my dialysis I try making the delicious recipes 🙏 Thanks Behram Uncle for being my savior🙏

Great stuff Behram. Thank you. Do you have any episode on fried fish? I'm a seafood fanatic and would like to know of an authentic Parsi recipe for fried Pomfret, Surmai (King mackerel), Bomnay Duck (Boombla) etc. Looking forward to a response. Cheers! Adil.
Thank you for your comment Adil. I have already made a video on chutney stuffed fried pomfret (Chamna). I will be making a video on fried Bombay Ducks very soon. Thank you for watching.

Thank you for sharing the lovely batasa recipe. Will definitely try it shortly. Please advise for cheese batasas, what cheese to add like cheddar? AND to add powder cheese or grate & add. Pls adv. how much to add in 250 gms of flour. I really enjoy all your recipes & your teaching method is excellent. Would like you to share how to make certain masalas like curry powder, dhansak masala, Dhana Zeera, Sambhar Masala & Chai Masala. I am from Karachi, Pakistan. Thanks & Regards
Dear Behram can i get some Batasas from your next batch by courier.my.yesterday's batch was nice but a little kharu and less sugar..today they got sloppy with more liquid..
Thank you for watching my videos and for following my channel. Please use the fan heat rather than the conventional heat. You should use the setting so that the upper and lower coils both heat up. Enjoy!
Love Batasas with hot chai. Behram, you mentioned in your written ingredients list self raising flour but in your video you used I think plain flour. Will I have to use less yeast in the recipe if using self raising flour?
Thank you so much for your valued comment. You may use maida or self-raising flour or you could even use half maida and half roti-atta. For that matter you can also use half all purpose flour and half roti atta. These are different variants of the recipe you could try. Everything else including the yeast stays the same in all the different variants. Thank you for watching my videos.
Hi! I love your recipes. I have a question. I have a basic oven, can you please guide me with the temperature of the oven. Thank you for all your efforts.🙏🙏
For any oven the temperature will be the same. Just make sure your oven is preheated well and you have set the oven to emit heat from the top as well as the bottom. Hope you enjoy. Thank you for following my channel.
thanks Behram for the great recipes. a question : instead of wet yeast if we use dry yeast powder what is the ratio? also can we use butter spread versus butter?
Thank you for your comment. No proofing (proving) is required. Just place it on baking tray as shown and cover the tray with a cloth while your oven is pre-heating. That will be enough. Hope you enjoy!
Thank you for your interest in my products. I live in Germany but travel to Mumbai every year for a few months. While I am in Mumbai I do take orders and provide catering facilitates. If you send me an email to cookingwithbehram@gmail.com and I can let you know the next time I am in town. In the meantime I would like to thank you for watching my videos and for following my channel.
Yes sure. As mentioned in the video for a fan assisted oven you need to start with 200 degrees Celsius. Then just follow my recipe. Thanks for watching.

Your ingredients list says self raising flour. You also mention we can use chapati aata half and half. Will this not affect the rise if I dilute the proportion of self raise with std aata?

I am from Calcutta and I just had my first taste of Butter Batasa from a Parsi/Irani bakery in Bombay...I have to say that while it was light, crisp & flaky, I found it a bit tasteless! Neither salty nor sweet ☹️ Since as per your recipe, it seems simple, I hope to make it myself with cheese or jeera or chilli flakes or all three...
Are boss you are very bad. You say don't eat hot, no fun eating hot, then you eat hot. Very sad, you must lead by example.😂😂 Now Paris bakery, Dotiwalla bakery, Kyani bakery will all close down with you having disclosed the secret recipe 😋😋. Can't wait to try this. Thanks.

When you bake in the oven do you keep the fan on the convention mode with both top and bottom coils on or just normal baking with both coils on
