Finding the coolest mini bike park in SoCal (El Monte)

El Monte bike park at the Jeff Seymour Family Center is one of the coolest mixed use recreation facilities I have ever seen. Taking the 'dead' edges of a soccer field and turning them into a well thought out and useable bike course and probably done on a shoe string budget is one of the smartest uses of community assets I've seen.
Safe for kids. Fun for teens and parents looking for more of a challenge. Optimal shade during hot months. Close to residential as well as nearby amenities. There's just NOTHING wrong with this place. This is a great lesson in not needing a contract for a massive skatepark or pump track or needing to plan and cut miles of trail. THIS CAN BE DONE IN ANY CITY. But most won't take the 'risk'. At least El Monte can be used as a success case for future endeavors. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT
